during concerts Zappa would have somthing called the secret word, and during this concert the word was raffle, and they would try and use the word as much as possible changing the lyrics and meanings of the songs, that's what you are witnessing here (the band had a raffle the night before, the prize? A prostitute)

This band could do anything musically. And all because of one man. These 1988 shows truly were a culmination of Zappa’s entire body of work. Great stuff Rory!

Yep no gimmicks, just straight up great musicians. Many Aussie bands from this period were similar. I always loved how the drummer, Steve Prestwich would often wear "wife beater" singlets. Not sure if you know that term in the UK but it refers to those plain blue singlets that manual workers wear.

Zappa is so unique, it's a musician on the stage with his music and all the cast of musicians that takes with him, he's awesome the amount of musical instruments he uses, it's a true genious, a fun fact. On the first part he came out with a paper speaking in Spanish for his performance, but I got shocked when it came out saying some things in Catalan, it was on 1988 that period of time the public was mostly Spanish, it's so curious I laughed a lot, thanks Rory it was an amazing concert👍👌🚬😊

This is a beautiful tribute to Chris. In this song, Myles doesn't just mention Black Days, he also references Chris's song "Carry On" where Chris wrote, "Carry on, til tomorrow turns into today." I know we all wish Chris had remembered these words that night. When Myles sings: "My shooting star You left your mark But the question still remains Tell me why you chose to leave us in the dark?" I really feel those words!!! This tribute was so well written, and I think Myles really captured how a lot of us feel about Chris. I am going to pay more attention to Myles's music.

This song was off the first album Cold Chisel , we usually just call self titled .Its full of good rock you need to listen to the whole album a few times.

Eddie gave some telling cues on that score in the Pearl Jam tribute to Chris (Comes Then Goes).

Hey it's Karl. I did think you would enjoy this one as much as I do. This song is probably one of my faves/most listened to and he is one of those people where his live performances take things to the next level. He is also known for shredding all with hand picking which is obviously really hard to play at this level and speed without a pick. I will hit you up with a few more RK songs over the next few days. The drummer is Pierre van der Linden , you have seen him on most of the videos you have done of the band , originally he was there form 1971 -73 , he later rejoined many years later

One of the best things about Cold Chisel is that as well as their own songs, they mostly also do covers of songs. Mostly Georgia On My Mind now, but it also used to include Wild Thing. Doing covers is a trend they have continued through their initial era to their break up and, mostly continued when they have reunited & toured.

This was so beautiful! Thom always tranports me to very deep places in my soul. Chris Cornell and Thom have been my 2 favorite singer/songwriters for decades now. Thom is considered a great singer by many. Not that it matters, but I have seen his name on some of the same best rock singers lists as Chris. But I just love this performance.
