Inverter Drive Systems Ltd was founded as an ABB Drives Distributor in 1999 by Blaise Ford, and grew to be one of the UK’s largest ABB Inverter Drives Alliance Partners (now AVP). We are focused simply on the supply and application of ABB inverters and motors.
We pride ourselves in applying our knowledge and experience of inverters to our customers’ applications to save energy, improve systems or reduce wear and tear. We carry out free energy efficiency motor audits to identify inverter applications, quantify the potential savings, recommend solutions including the control systems and give a turnkey installation price.

In this video, Blaise Ford, MD of IDS demonstrates how to reduce noise with an inverter. Using our demo rig which consists of an ACS480 inverter, an electric motor and a fan, Blaise starts by running the fan at full speed, 50 Hertz and then slows it down to demonstrate how much the noise generated by the fan is reduced.

VSD Variable speed use an electronic or digital controller & VFD uses frequency to control the process

Just there functions are diffrent . Inverter converts Ac to Dc VFD converts fixed frequency into variable frequency VSD consists of VFD and variable voltage converter and inverter

Program: On the computer side using ABB software --- DriveWindow Light, control ACS355 no problem. But I would like to put aside DriveWindow Light software, direct use of MODBUS POLL software. ACS355 + MODBUS_RS485 module + RS485 to MODBUS_TCP, Can I use the computer's MODBUS POLL software to directly control the start to stop? Do not use the manufacturer's control software.
