350Z Y Pipe Replacement/Upgrade
มุมมอง 754ปีที่แล้ว
Finally replaced that worn out Y Pipe on my 350Z. Decided to upgrade and went with the SPELAB pipe. Lost 4 LBS in the process. Hopefully picked up a little HP now that the Z can breathe a little better. Sounds better as well. Even though my Z never sees rain or snow, it has been driven 150,000 miles and it shows on the underside. Had to cut the old pipe off and use some welding skills to get ev...
350Z on the QuickJack 5000TL
มุมมอง 305ปีที่แล้ว
Just a short video showing my 350Z on the QuickJack 5000TL. Before you can fix it you gotta get it up in the air. A couple clips to show you it can be done. For the full videos of what I did while I had the Z in the air you can check out the following: 350Z Engine Tray replacement: th-cam.com/video/_GqwKILWq2c/w-d-xo.html 350Z Y-Pipe Replacement and Upgrade: th-cam.com/video/406oj9xBpOI/w-d-xo....
350Z Engine Tray Skid Plate Replacement
มุมมอง 100ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I take advantage of having my 350Z in the air and up on the QuickJack to replace and upgrade the engine tray. My engine tray had seen better days so I upgraded to an aluminum two piece tray that helps give some much needed strength to the front lip. A relatively simple upgrade that makes the underside look better and protects the engine from rain and road debris. Check out my othe...
LED Headlight Upgrade - Nissan XTerra
มุมมอง 1.3Kปีที่แล้ว
Time to upgrade those standard headlights to LED. Installation of the Nineo Generation II 9007 10,000 LM bulbs in my 2012 Nissan XTerra Pro-4X. What a difference these lights make.

มุมมอง 3.9Kปีที่แล้ว
This video shows you how to diagnose a flashing SRS light and replace the crash zone sensor on a 2nd generation Nissan XTerra. This is my first video and shows you how to DIY replace the crash zone sensor after determining the cause of your flashing SRS light. For instructions on how to do the SRS reset and access diagnostic mode you can check out this video: th-cam.com/video/cHB1EABK6r0/w-d-xo...

really reaching for some content eh?
Thanks for watching!
Lower ball joint failed
Gotta be a Monday
Thank youuuuuu so much This Worked This Does Fit a 2017 Ford Fusion if you go to AutoZone for $16 Took me 10 to 15 minutes watching this video this Video saved Me a whole lot of Money Thank you so much but Here A Tip BE CAREFUL WITH THE WD-40 BECAUSE IT GETS REAL SLIPPERY AND you will drop the piece in a tight space I just sprayed it on the orange piece and Took a dry rag to clean off the debris off the cable etc. Showed my mechanic and He was Impress Since he never did a job like that Before ... Thank you sooooooo much
I hope this part works with my Fusion also. Almost got stranded 30 some odd miles away from home when this stupid thing came loose.
To bad the sensor is discontinued. I can't believe they stopped making the part. I just bought a used one from ebay in hopes that it works.
Good luck! I buy a lot of things from eBay.
@@gottafixit thanks
One of the best bikes honda ever made!
You're the shit man!
Thanks! Glad I could help. Appreciate you watching.
Thank you!!!! I was stuck in a bad area about 45 minutes from home and thought I was about to be calling road side service in 100 degree brutal heat.....this helped and after 3 attempts at getting right part and dropping them somewhere in the engine area I successfully repaired by myself.....I thought I was looking at a huge problem.....thank you for taking the time to share!!! Ford either owes you big thanks....or hates you from stopping them charging crazy rates to fix. You are awesome!!
Fantastic. Saving lives and saving money. Glad my video helped. Thanks for watching.
I paid 501.00$ for mine ☹️
Yuck!
@@gottafixit turns out they gave me an airbag module not a crash zone sensor that's why it was 500.00$.
Gracias desde México, you saved my life
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching.
Hell yeah I had the same issue it was hard as hell to get it on that pin took me like 2 hours it’s really cramped in there the cap kept falling thru the engine to the ground but once I got it on and but the cap on the top it was all good the part cost me like $20
Good work! Glad you got it.
I REALLY appreciated your Video and I appreciate you giving me a refrence to a service manual and I know that flashing 16 means a Front sensor BUTcan you PLEASE narrow down where in that Huge Ocean of data in that Service Manual (that I can barely even Read) What page are these flash Codes are on because I can't find them anywhere and I got a terrible headache trying to find them
I don't have the service manual. I did a Google search to locate the different codes. You should be able to find them with a little patience.
@@gottafixit Thank You
Would the 5000TLX jacks be too long for a 350z or G35 coupe?
The TLX should work fine for the Z. I bought the shorter TL since we also have a Miata in the garage and can't use the longer one for that. The TL works for my XTerra as well though so you may want to use the shorter one for use on a wider range of vehicles.
The 5000TL sounds like the way to go @@gottafixit - Thanks for the feedback!
i have a fromtoer with the same code do u think its the same issue?
Most likely.
Super helpful vid. Thank you!!!
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
What a absolute life saving video! I had this issue this morning and started thinking the worse. I'm no Mechanic but I spotted what the issue like you pointed out in the video. Picked up the part for $18 and fixed it in 5 minutes. Thank you!!!
Glad it helped. Always a great feeling when you can fix it yourself. Thanks for watching.
The 2019 same car, is the cable in the same place? I don't see it where the 2017 is?
I haven't worked on a 2019 but I would expect it to be similar.
Handsome boy 🥰
What about a 2020?
Should work for 2013-2020. Possibly other years as well.
I couldn’t find that part
The bar with the bushing on it is slightly past the place it goes 😢
You should be able to get the bar to move back by turning the gear select knob. Try moving it from park to neutral and see if you are able to line it up. Good luck!
The bar with the bushing on it is slightly past the place it goes 😢
Same issue here
You should be able to move the shifter to get the bar to move.
@@gottafixit yessir figured it out finally after messing with it lol
Fantastic. Good job!
How did you move it. I can’t on 2019
Beautiful video. Thank you. Your video is wonderful. Just what I needed. SN: has NOTHING to do w/you b/c you’re heaven sent. But why would they make it like this??!!!
Glad I could help and thanks for watching.
I am trying to figure out how the front pipe flange was welded. Did the welds only happen in the mounting holes or around the entire flanges?
Welding was primarily through the mounting holes on this one. Essentially he just built new bolts via welding.
@@gottafixit Thanks for clarifying. I would like to drill out the old bolts, but there isn't enough space to attack the culprit on one side. I know there is a flange fix device that holds the two pieces together and I was considering that. I have had exhaust leaks at the junction because the flanges are not mating well. A gasket is supposed to be between both flanges. This is a project for another day when the weather is better.
@@lorettacaputo6997 Yes. We used the gasket between the flange and welded it all together. Those adapters can work wonders sometimes as well. Good luck!
Hello fellow CNY central NY xterra owner. I have been thru numerous dash board light warnings and always found diagnosis and repair to be such a pia. Not to mention all of the items that have rusted and refused to be removed when necessary. The biggest surprise was the chain drive clock mechanism that rusted into one big ball of chain. I just purchased a new Frontier and the first thing I did was to lower the spare and coat the entire chain and mechanism with grease. I have had rusted out transmission lines, fuel lines, brake lines and differential cover. OEM parts from Nissan is always such a joy too.
Gotta love that CNY rust!
Thank you so much man! This worked.
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching.
😮
Just did this was hard with my big hands but what i did. Had someone sit in the car put it in drive and hold the break. Pulls the pin down out in the open you can put it on real quick. I tried shutting the car off while it was in park but goes back into park when car shuts off. Not the safest but got it done in less than 5 minutes.
Excellent. Glad you got it and thanks for the added tip!
Great Content, Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
This video is perfect, thank you very much I just fixed my car and I never thought I would be able to do this.
Glad it helped you out. It always feels great to fix it yourself. Thanks for watching.
is it possible that due to this issue the car takes like 3 -4 seconds to take the R i put the cable with out the bushing I just order the bushing but since I was on the middle of the night I was not able to call anyone so you video basically saved my life
Glad it helped.
good video nice explanation
Thank you. Glad it helped.
just fixed my ford fusion 2017. Awesome video and instructions. Bought the same Dorman Parts. I also used a drill / screwdriver to loosen the clamps to the two big pipes (not sure what it's called) forced the rubber piece off so you have more space to work on the bushing. sprayed on wd-40 on the bushing prior and waited a few minutes. Easy fix once you get in. Beautiful video!!
Excellent! Glad I could help and thanks for the extra tips.
Clean that connection before reassembly!
@@raymondpeng772 where did you buy the part I have a 2017 Ford fusion and when I look online it says most of the parts don't fit my vehicle
@@JM-ox6ji Amazon sir just type in the part number.
I replaced my sensor, 2008 Xterra, and had to do the reset procedure, but, it came back. So now I have to go to a shop with the proper scanning tool too see what the problem really is. Will update when done.
Bro, had this issue parked on Autozone (how lucky right?) your video got me from thinking I would need a tow to fixing it on spot and get out driving in minutes. Life savior
I just installed a competitors LED in my 2012 Xterra...however they do not support the DRL required here in Canada. Just wondering if this brand supports DRL or if you even have that feature on your Xterra?
I don't have DRLs on my XTerra. Sorry.
@@gottafixit Thanks
Saved me a $240 tow and more had I not seen this
Fantastic! That's the goal of this channel. Glad I saved you some money and trouble. Thanks for viewing.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I used this video to fix my girlfriend’s car and scored so many brownie points lol but even more so- saved us money!
Excellent! Always great when you can make your girlfriend happy!
This video save me a lot of money
Excellent. Glad it helped!
My 2019 Fusion got the same error a week and a half ago. It was the bushing that popped off. I bought the upgraded bushing and cap from Ford. Total cost was $4.90. The Ford dealership was going to charge me $289 labor. It took me approximately 7 minutes to install it myself. Ford needs to extend the recall to include 2019 and 2020 Fusion models, as they still came installed with the flimsy white bushings.
Love it. Glad you were able to fix it yourself. Thanks for watching.
I have a 2018 fusion and today my car wont shift gear and its giving me the same warning light. Hopefully this is the same problem.
Can you please tell me how did you ordered the part from Ford and what part number it is. I would really appreciate it 🙏🏻
You can order the bushing from Amazon here www.amazon.com/dp/B00JW1VXTK?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_KAVN2T9PSXZC2BTMHCG3. Good luck and thanks for watching. This should solve your problem.

I will give out my number if someone can help me NOW. thank you all I hope someone see this message soon cause IM STUCK AND CANT MOVE.

huge difference!
Crazy how dealership wanted Thousands "$8500" To replace two Airbags, Front crash sensor, replace SRS computer that records crash information etc, on a 2006 nissan Frontier SE CC 4.0L 6CYL 2WD Truck 🤦🏻♂️ I never touched Airbags in my life, Just watch TH-cam Videos. I did everything myslef and had SRS Computer reset for only $60 Airbags drivers side and passengers side was about $125 each, crash sensor about $125 new from dealer and about 5 hours of my time got it done for under $500 Infookensane what these Nissan Dealerships crookes charge. Another good tip is to depress the brake after 3 minties of battery disconect to drain out the slightest but of energy stored. Thanks for sharing great detailed stuff.
Never been to a dealer for repairs in my life. Like you said fookeninsane! Heck I don't even buy my cars from a dealer. Used with cash and prime for fixing things myself. Thanks for watching.
