Dreamcast : Extra Fan Setup to Prevent Heat on Disc.
Just a short video showing how an external fan can prevent the game disc and drive spindle from getting warm or hot. Since using this basic setup with the 4 speed fan set to the lowest speed my game discs never gets warm!
This may help the drive bearings last longer, and anything that helps keep the disc cool is a bonus.
The idea behind this setup is so a slight breeze of air is blown into the Dreamcast, so to allow the built-in fan to do it's job properly which is to suck the heat out... The external fan is just fast enough to add a gentle blow in and around the machine.

Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II - My own VHS Demo from 1992
มุมมอง 123ปีที่แล้ว
The photo at the start of the video: Back in 1992 at the British Grand Prix and the year Nigel Mansell won at Silverstone, I was one of the people that ran on the track at the end of the race. This photo taken by me was the result of my moment of madness! The F1 car in the picture is the classic Williams from 1992 and those with sharp eyes will spot it's Ricciardo Patrese, car No.6! Nigel Manse...
SEGA GT : Dreamcast - Ford Racing Event, my [A] Lotus vs AI [SA] Ferrari.
มุมมอง 190ปีที่แล้ว
I had just bought my first ever [A] Class Carrozzeria car and thought I'd try my luck with the Ford Racing event... The first race was easy. The 2nd race on Sprint Zone however had an [SA] Class AI car that totally blew me away! Back in the garage I tried to optimize the gear box to get the car from 152mph max speed to 180mph max speed on Sprint Zone and yet this [SA] Class AI car was still goi...
SEGA GT Dreamcast: Night Section B TA - Renault Clio Trophy (3"00.252)
มุมมอง 203ปีที่แล้ว
I was trying to get the Cilo Trophy to go around Snowy Mountain and while I achieved a 43sec lap time it still needed work... I tried the same setup on a number of tracks and found it was almost perfect for Night Section B! The only place it was slightly out was in the tunnel on Night Section B, I only had to slightly increase the suspension spring rate and she was ready to roll. I orignally di...

Sega Rally 2 Dreamcast - In-game Timer Secret code!
มุมมอง 7613 ปีที่แล้ว
A short video telling you how to move the in-game timer to the bottom right of the screen which also adds 'passing' and 'difference' timers regardless if you have 'time compare' turned off or not. This is the PAL version of Sega Rally 2 for Dreamcast. Could be useful for Time Attack. This timer secret is one I personally discovered and is not really known about, it's not on gamefaqs at the time...
Yamaha PSS-780 Music Station Sound Test
มุมมอง 1.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
All sounds come from the PSS 780 via "external speakers". The sounds are all custom made by my good self which includes Bass, Piano, Electric Piano and what I call "Blade" as in the movie Blade aka Synth like Strings. The starting drum fill was the middle fill-in from pattern 25 (Rock) on a 780 and the main drum pattern was custom programmed. I recorded the Piano into the first 4 sequencer trac...
ooh goodness... I love and hate this car at the same time! How do you tame it?
The yellow and the SEGA logo are superb, and yeah she is a handful to drive! If you missed it, @04:30 your see which mods, tires, settings and gear ratios I used. If you keep watching your see the, "main menu options" Calibration screen, Accel is 11 but note I used the regular Dreamcast pad. Keep in mind, when I built the car I had played around half the game at that point so a good few hours of practice. I also used bumper view to play the whole game, that was my prefered view. Hope it's of help, if you find the car wants to spin out on the occasional high speed corner let the gas off for a split second as you start to turn. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Fantastic find with the timer! I far prefer this, I will def be using it, Thank you! 😎
Cool, enjoy! 😊👍
My F1 photo from 1992 was taken a few hundred meters infront of the old Forsters bridge at Silverstone, the bridge was at the start of the old complex that went on to the finish/start line. The car in the photo is the legendary Williams Renault, car No,6 driven by Riccardo Patrese. We were sat right opposite where Ayrton Senna broke down who then walked back to the pits.
Nice one VR! I just tried this race again a few times and it was a different CPU car each time that whizzed passed me. Originally I just thought it was the VENOM (Viper clone) car that was capable of this but I was wrong. Must give your technique a go. I managed to win this race with a VENOM car that was totally unsuitable for the other two courses on this event.
Thanks! When I first tried the race there was some black or very dark grey car, it looked America, (I'm not 100% familiar with all custom car bodies)... After messing with the gear box a few times I had the Ferrari look-a-like show up. It's a bit like the Star Wars Death Star trench run, "Stay on Target!" when you get hit lol. I recall I was letting go of the gas for a moment when I was forced into a bad slide, just to make the car more stable. I forgot to add my gear ratio screen: Turbo Boost: Level 4 1st: 3.360 2nd: 2.534 3rd: 1.727 4th: 1.317 5th: 1.104 6th: 0.933 Final: 3.467 Have fun and May the Force be with you!
@@MIK_F40 Hi VR, off-topic but you may wish to check out some old 'network race' footage from Ferrari F355 on the Dreamcast. It was uploaded by 'ICUK' who was an early XBOX Outrun 2 player if I remember correctly. th-cam.com/video/TErj16h53yg/w-d-xo.html
Excellent stuff VR! I only wish I could handle that car as well as you. Only another 26 seconds to go before I get to your level! Thanks for showing the car stats too. PS Did you ever go online with this game and see the internet rankings? From what I learned, the European Dreamarean/Dricas site for Sega GT was not set up.
Thanks Rjay! That current Clio Trophy of mine can do a 49 second lap around Sky Hill Peek, but doing 3 good laps is another thing, those cobbles lol. I don't believe 1 setup will work for every track though, and a shame we can't save different setups for each track. At least in video form you get to keep a record of the car setup for that track! I wish I could go back in time and take a look at the online side of Sega GT and MSR. Sadly I never did look! If only they gave you a free bonus car if you did go online..., I would of had a nose!! Back when they released Online play was the "in" thing on DC and sadly neither racer supported it. 😔
Thanks for publishing this! I will remember this if I manage to play SR2 again ;)
Good to hear from you! Hope your doing well. :)
