    Venezuelan here, not the best economy (95% the state fault), the 98% of the cities here are like 10 minutes cities 😂, I love it, and a lot of parks squares and nature, I wish I can send you a picture

    The Fifteen Minute City sounds like bringing back the concept of ghettos, increasing racism, more crime and the chaos of many small local governments. These utopian cities forced on everyone are based on untried and unstudied concepts that don't include the culture of the population. Like we are seeing in Israel, small communities tend to expand into other communities with increased conflict between different cultures. I prefer not to live in a mono-culture where propaganda and government control is easier to implement.

    I see what you're saying about about this. But the truth is, it's also a government. Conspiracy and the government conspiracy is to create a lockdown to 2 and 4 like 15 minutes city under, like the gaze of like a lockdown like we had in Coronavirus and that's really what they want to reduce pollution. So when they say 15 minute city it's not the same as what you say of 15 minute city is.

    Regarding people living in rural and mountainous regions of the US, will they be punished for resisting a move into the planned 15-minute districts? Many of those people want very little or nothing to do with city life.

    I think it's better viewed as a guideline than an absolute rule to be strictly followed in all scenarios. In some it would just be impractical to reduce everything down to a 15 minute commute, even for the most extreme examples of cities that go all the way with top-down urban planning like Singapore. You wouldn't want EVERYTHING to be within walking distance of your home. Some zoning actually is justified. But if you can make it a 15-30 minute commute without the need of cars (buses, metros, bikes, etc.) you could still greatly improve people's quality of life and the environment without having to literally live next to a factory or a nuclear power plant. I do think there is a point to be made that it would require a good degree of "authoritarian" planning for it to be done right and equitably. And for people who take concern with that, I have bad news for you. You already live in that dystopia. The car-centric cities and sprawling suburbia we have right now is the result of decades of very stringent government regulation that we just simply grown accustomed to over generations, rather than that authoritarianism being used for something smarter and human-scale. Personally I don't really care how "authoritarian" or "libertarian" an idea is, so long as it's a good idea and the most efficient means to get it done.

    Wild that people think this is a conspiracy when it’s a WEF global agenda that’s actually happening before our eyes. It only takes 5 minutes to look up what’s happening with smart cities in the Uk & abroad. They’re further ahead with it there. Geo fencing, a limited # of times you’re allowed to leave your zone, fines, facial recognition, only being able to use your car on certain days based on your license plate number, etc. 🤦🏽‍♀️

  • @reneefletcher1143
    @reneefletcher1143 หลายเดือนก่อน

    There’s one in the works for the city next to me. It’s public document says it’s estimated to cost is approx $887 MILLION to create the SMART city. So who pays for that? How much of those costs are being thrown onto the current citizens to foot that bill via tax increases?

  • @reneefletcher1143
    @reneefletcher1143 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This will be extra interesting in California. The state with rolling blackout because “the grid” can’t handle summer heat with car charging & what not. So whee are happens when the whole city is HUGELY dependent on electricity? What about states with extreme weather conditions like blizzards & hurricanes that could damage SMART electric infrastructure?

  • @reneefletcher1143
    @reneefletcher1143 หลายเดือนก่อน

    All fine & dandy until it’s 110* outside in summer or freezing cold & stormy in the winter. Then you’re backed up for hours with car traffic…if you’re even allowed to use your personal car eventually. Think you’ll sneek an use one? Nope! There’s thousands of sensors, cameras & facial recognition to heavily fine/punish you. 🤦🏽‍♀️

      Exactly. Easy to see the slippery slope. Eventually it’ll be “take your189th booster injection or you can’t leave your home”. These smart cities are equipped with thousands of sensors and cameras so there would be no sneaking out.

    So you are supposed to go grocery shopping daily? lol! And in the winter where I live, nobody is walking in minus 30 or biking to get groceries. How about tell the people that work at wef to do their meetings on zoom and quit flying around in their private jets. That alone would cut the emissions in half. One trip in a private jet burns more emissions than must people do in their life. And these elites fly around doing multiple trips per year. Until they stop doing that, they can f off.

    I'm sorry but if this "works" we're only now seriously considering it in 2024? Or is it so obviously infringing on a democratic people's freedom that any prior introduction of the idea was quickly and (likely) nearly unnanamously shot down? This is so apparently a way to gain control over a population. Sorry, not interested!

    Most of us know how tyrannical homeowners associations can, here there would be a elevator police, green area police, garbage police,lobby police, noise police,music/tv police, side-walk police, nanny police, laundry police,bug police, fire alarm police,energy police, water police, and a thousand more. Guess there will be a lot of police jobs in case office jobs never come back.

    Let the “brilliant busy body” organize their work area and we can seen if they are having their best life. If it’s turns out a winner they will come. Why do they have to “sell” it to the masses. We can see that we might save time. We might want to enjoy a drive before getting home. We might not want to see everyone everywhere. How about country, open spaces, pets, background grills and slip and slide?How about no one looking and gearing and complaining about anything you do?Most people don’t live like that because they don’t want to.? This is an old tired idea. I remember when this was tried in 1970’s in a downtown where I lived. It ruined the businesses that had been there for several decades. This was tried again in 1980’s in Orlando. So many empty buildings. NO ONE WANTS TO LIVE DOWNTOWN. If they wanted to, this wouldn’t have to be sold over and over,

    What they don't mention is that this could be mandatory with harsh fines and punishments for those who don't want to comply. This is contra Common Law and Natural Law. This is a top down revolution - not democratic. This is fueled by elites and corporates who will own and control all the assets. They have weaponised the green agenda against YOU. Wake up! If the world really is on the brink of destruction why are they monetising the so called "solution". As to the 15 minute cities - you know something is up when they talk about the penalties of not complying before they have built the infrastructure for really satisfying their local criteria. They will complete the roadblocks and cameras before they BUILD THE PERFECT 15 MINUTE CITY. The PR is that they are doing this for us - our safety, etc......And they probably never will fulfil their promises - why would they? What is amazing is that since E. Bernays we've had nearly one hundred years of advanced psychological nudging, marketing and propaganda but people just buy into this every time. Zero discernment. Cult of fear and safety wins every time. Have a look at the worlds biggest carbon emissions culprits. China, India, Russia, hundreds if not thousands of times greater than any western country apart from the USA. They're not doing anything to curb their emissions. And if we were really at the brink of extinction do you really think it is wise to escalate tensions with these countries? No - we would be pursuing peace so we could work together for a common human goal as the greatest imperative - but its not is it? Wake up!
