The longer I’ve owned the mini the more I’ve enjoyed it. The game I got it for is just starting and I’m super excited about it. I didn’t think about touching up the paint to liven it up, that’s an interesting idea. As for the cost, while not cheap, I think it’s well worth it. Thanks for the comment!

Oh that’s a cool idea. My favorite way of using these adventures is similar how you did, as a filler in a larger game to deal with the unexpected

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I only have two players in my campaign so it was inevitable that they would be killed. I thought this would be great as a bill in Ted bogus journey meets oceans 11 to get the characters back

@historyboy25 oh that’s so cool! I did something similar when running Lost Mines with only two players, they died pretty early on so I switched to Out of the Abyss by having the goblins sell the party to the Drow.

@@DragonsAndFlagons oh, good question. I have all of them. I think Book 5 the Dragon’s Return is especially good. Book 6 for the World Builder gives a ton of modularity, and the new Rune Forge book 7 looks very promising but I have not played it yet.

Not only was the first thing someone sent me because of the channel, they are also amazing dice that I use regularly when playing 4 against darkness. @RiversRPG is amazing

@@DragonsAndFlagons we had to tinker a bit, all but one came out fine. And they were kind enough to do do-overs when they failed. I'll look for another library with a 3D printer and try to reprint the one that just wouldn't come out right

Each character should have a 'Token Vision/Light' option to set the lighting options for the individual character. Within the scene options there is a slider for 'Line of Sight/Darkness Opacity'. I hope that helps.

Yeah, some of these boxes are hit-and-miss. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping my subscription too much longer, but I would like to replace it with something else, I just need to find what that thing is first.

I haven’t heard of that one, is that a TH-cam channel? I’m always looking for new things to check out, or at least new to me.

I guess I’ve gone through the 7 stages or whatever, but getting this box not only was fun (it’s always nice to get goodies) but also helped me finally close the door on that stage in my life. Thanks for the comment and always being so supportive!

Can't complain. Most contractors get nothing. At least I got a gift bag. It made me feel special.

Totally understandable, I actually worked on both sets. I’m not sure what the release cadence is now, but at least at the time a new set would come out about every 6 weeks. In an effort to support the sets I would grab a box for each I worked on. Internally we would call it our 402K with the hope that when you leave wizards you could sell them. As for the 2022 box, if I remember correctly it was just cheap enough for the points I had left.

This service is not for enemies, not even for the big bad, but for a custom painted PC hero avatar miniature is well worth it. Also, you can custom deigned your PC and have it printed in monochrome and paint it yourself for a lot less. In any case, you can design your PC Hero mini for free and see how much all the option cost in the "Buy" section before ordering.

Oh totally! This will not/could not become a regular thing. I’ve been looking at it for years and decided to finally go for it because of holiday gift cards. And by far one of the best places for minis are board games

@@DragonsAndFlagons: That's my point. The prices are coming down as the more people use the service. 45-50 is not unreasonable for a custom designed painted miniature. (Granted I like to see them in the 35 range.) If you can paint, the price is 20-25 for custom minis. Not unreasonable at all.
