Huge fan of Harry in general but especially his score for Gladiator II. Not an easy task to follow Zimmers all time classic score... But Harry did a great job. (the vinyl release for Gladiator II is also a beauty
Could you please how i can connect you..
Hi mr prederik realy i love your all composer things 🎉
Great interview. Two of my favourite film composers right now! Big inspiration for me with my music 👌
The soundtrack of 'Salem's Lot' is perfectly ominous ... I enjoyed it very much. 😊
This was such a cool interview!

I fell in love with Richard's music, a huge fan and started with Metal Storm. Then continued with Reaninator & Bride Of, Troll, The Puppet Master series and especially the music he wrote for Stargate:SG-1. Richard has the ability to infuse the films he scores with amazingly emotional impacts. Just got the score cd of Primevals it's friggingfantastic!
What resources (free and paid ones) could you recommend to learn for film scoring? Thank you!
“Human Hunt” is one of the strongest action cues of the past few years. The Goldsmith quotes (instrumentally and in terms of motifs) have been perfectly transformed into a more contemporary Hollywood sound without losing the modernistic flair of the original. Really a great piece! Apart from “Very Clever Apes”, this is unfortunately the only cue in the score that clearly stands out from the expectedly heavily Giacchino-influenced mass. However, I also really like "A New Age" with its brutal 11/8 ostinato. I'm positively surprised by the score. Very refreshing that the producers and their hired composer have finally decided to pay tribute to Goldsmith and that John has delivered a pretty solid score of his own!
Excellent interview. I wasn't too familiar with Paesano prior to his KINGDOM score, but I've become an instant fan.
Amazing interview! This is a really underrated channel btw, keep it up!
In a cinema milliue minus Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, Michael Kamen, Basil Poledouris and Shirley Walker -- VALUE CHRISTOPHER YOUNG !!!
Scott and Reza are / have done something very very magic with their music..! Since Peter Green and Fleetwood mac's "Oh Well part ii" I have not heard anything this good!
absolute stellar composer. Talk about range!!
I will admit, it took me a few listens to appreciate the opening theme for "Masters of the Air". The theme for Band of Brothers immediately gets me choked up every time I hear it, even after watching the full series 14 times. I'm on my second re-watch of the "Masters" series, and I am happy to say the theme now immediately gets me choked up. It has become an earworm where I truly can't seem to get it out of my head. I absolutely love the series, and the score is just the icing on the cake. Perfect, for each moment, the music is perfect. I'm so hoping that the score will be available on vinyl sometime soon!
andy, what a wonderful review. Now I'll listen to everything you mentioned. Love Blake Neely, who composed "The Mentalist" as well.
What a great opportunity to pick the master's mind.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your amazing music and with working with Vangelis. Mythodea is absolutely wonderful. You have a lovely demeanour and it shows through your music too.
Missed the live stream because of a work shift. My latest earworm is Blake Neely's "Masters Of The Air" title theme which at once evokes images of flight, of the Bloody Hundreth's heroic deeds and struggle as well as (depending on the tempo it's played), can double as elegy to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Without a doubt, the perfect companion piece to "Band Of Brothers" and "The Pacific"'s titles music...
Great insights!❤
Why is the video in 360?
The ophanage !? The impossible ? Même la musique est sublime.
His scoring was a bigger star of BLACK ADAM than any of the stars !!!

It's a shame to see that Hollywood's most derivative composer isn't even remotely humble.
Very few people in Hollywood film business are...
Lorne mentioned he wasn’t ready to take the leap. 15 years is way too long working for Hans, 6-7 years tops. Tell me one composer who ever felt completely ready to go out on their own? Maybe John Williams… You just have to make the jump, mistakes and all.
Yeah, it all worked out pretty badly, lol--NOT! He scored heaps of films on his own, while still w/Hans. Why slap arbitrary time frames/windows on things, like you're doing, in retrospect? But yeah, you seem to know better. ("This channel doesn't have any content.")

Great insights!
Really appreciate these insights, cheers!
Thank you Daniel and Lorne, really awesome interview! 🎶

The sound of the guy typing is awful, he could have muted his mic. For an interview about sound, the sound of this is terrible. Very interesting content tho. Just a thought going forward 👍
Michael is one of my heroes and biggest inspirations. Great interview!
Yeah, this interview fookin' RULED!!!!!
YESSSS
Like Randy Edelman had mentioned, you have to be two things when composing, a fast composer and being correct in your choices.
This is fantastic and highly underappreciated.
Tyler is unbelievably gifted and his work ethic is inspiring. ❤
Falling in love with another version of himself isn't _inherently_ narcissistic; Loki and Sylvie are two different people, he _perceives_ her as another person, and he didn't fall in love with any of his other variants. Furthermore, he seemed to care more about her than he did about himself, which negates textbook "narcissism". This was a very lazy and superficial way to portray narcissism.
Charlie is always a wealth of information!
Dang I love your studio. IT'S SO COOL! :D
Amazing interview Daniel!!! Inon is such an inspiration
Oh man! You should've tossed a question at him, Antonio!!! (Perhaps you were unable to catch it, "live.") What an AWESOME interview!
@@daleturneroh dude I missed the live streaming. I had so many questions. At least this is available online which is great. Amazing conversation dude 🎉❤
@@AntonioTeoli TOTAL Master Class, mayun!! Glad you were able to watch it, after it happened!!!!
Many thanks for watching Antonio!
Very cool interview
She could be the next John Williams at the rate she is scoring and creating such moving motives and themes. BRILLIANT!
Thus far I have viewed Picard S03 end-to-end three times. I went in with an extremely - extremely - critical mindset, ready to nit-pick and tear down every element of every episode. One episode, then the next, then the next... WTF!? This is actually GOOD! Very, very good! I noticed the quality of the musical score early on. Not only was the medley of previous Star Trek composers wonderfully interwoven into the lattice of the new music, it was hitting the right notes at the right time, conveying the mood of the scene. Most impactful was the cadence of the score, giving notes and melodies the proper emphasis and decay. All of Picard S03 was brilliant work. The musical score was the icing on the cake. In a word: More!
Shame that the question of reissuing Last of the Dogmen was ignored.
1:00:15 Oh well, at least he talked deeply about the other part of the Last of the Dogmen question. Definitely wouldn't say "ignored." Just talked about the score, then his time was up. He was extremely giving of his time. What an awesome interview!
He is amazing!
I really hope he will compose a symphony someday.
Excellent work from the composers this season in particular. Thank you Lakeshore for giving these exceptionally talented artists a space to discuss this.
Hi Daniel. Thank you for this very good interview. I cannot find you on FB to request the download of Reinfield. Could you possibly give me the link to your page ?
Love the interview Ludwig and Joseph are my biggest inspirations and lead me to become/pursing a film and tv composition degree!!!
Thank you for a great interview!
The punny introductions are excruciatingly bad!
