Where forms do have value, it's in solo training for specific attributes (the "snappy" techniques in Karate kata are there to develop speed and power) but his appears to be a simple sequence of movements with no specific purpose - a dance. Training with obsolete weapons may have some cultural value, that might appeal to a handful of students, but it has almost no practical application beyond LARPing.

ok, it seems that you are not informed about taiji gongfu fighting skills. First and most important to understand: in taiji youre not Training technique but principal. I am not sure that works, because Taiji is not for groundfighting. Taiji guys avoid groundfighting by good stances.

Against BJJ it would be slice of cake for him, since this is not mma. In fact he’s trained some BJJ schools on take down defense in Brazil. Wrestling is widely varied sport, would be a much trickier contest

Naja, die Kurzformen sollen ja nicht den Inhalt verkürzen, sondern gelten als stepping stone zu den langen.

@@buddhaswachtertaijischuleb9904 ja so meinte ich das zum Einstieg, diese 24 er kommt mir schon relativ schwierig vor. Vielleicht gibt es ja schon eine einfachere Chen Stil Speerform und ich weiß es nur nicht. Danke fürs antworten, sind interessante Videos in deinem Kanal 👍

@@norbertwiendl458 Danke :) Die 24er ist die einzige mir bekannte Chen Kurzform für Stock/Speer. Ist auch relativ frisch pädagogisch von Chen Ziqiang konzipiert worden. Wenn allgmein um kürzere Stockform gehen soll, empfehle ich die Eyebrow. Zwar kein Speer, aber trotzdem ein paar Stockelemente drinn.
