I just found a 752B at the goodwill for $7, score! I'm going to use it with my Grandpa's old DX-150 to help with QRP CW. We used to listen to hams on it together when I was a kid in the 1970's.

This could be very usefull and very nice BUT it never function in Europe (77,5MHz), perhaps in UK (60kHz) because it is build for KWNA (60kHz). I bought one 1,5 years ago in DL and tried it but not functioning and lost time because I moved to SA. Here 1,5 years later I tried it for some weeks. Absolut no signal becaue of difference of QRG. I contacted mfj and with a harsh answer from them (not like mfj 8 years before) they send me a PIC. A PIC for QRG?? OK, I changed it and of course no change. Thats all OK. BUT one week later customs are comming and I had to pay 35,35$ for this 1$ PIC! So only big shit with more than 200$ costs! NEVER MORE mfj ! Absolute no support. mfj is now dead for me and I will do all for their reputation.

Nice, just picked up of these myself, it is in amazingly excellent condition, I don't know yet how to tune it up and get everything set, so im watching these videos with most people fumbling around flipping switches and basically seeing if this works, or that works, nothing concrete, yet im resorting to the owners manual which is also a nightmare, I need to spend a week in classes with learning one thing at a time

Your PL-259 Is Not Plugged Into Your Palomar SO Jack!

Just checking out your video because I bought one at a Hamfest a few years ago, and because it was the only video. I was just finally checking it out, like you did. Like yours, it seems to work great. Like yours, it came from an estate sale. The seller knew nothing about it, and was taking offers. I think I offered him $10 and he took it. I was a little surprised, but I figured for $10, I couldn't go wrong. I found a calibration procedure in the QST article that LDG sent me. I'll probably do that shortly.

I'm getting a working TS-430 with the dedicated power supply, the PS-430, next week and taking my General license test as well. 73 from K9POW in eastern Tennessee.

Is this a good radio for a beginner radio? Does it have ssb?

Hi, Instead of having the PDC meter look as if it at full + on the 10 watt & 100 watt Scale, I think it would be better if the power would have been 9 watts & 90 watts.. 73, W.G. / K4WGD
