Jeff Berlin - BACH (Bass Cover)

If you know, you know! One of my favorite bass solos ever!
Bon Jovi - Homebound Train (Bass Cover)

One of my favorite Bon Jovi Songs. I found it a little more challenging to sync my playing with Richie Sambora and Tico Torres. There are a lot of guitar overdubs and so much reverb on the drums. (that's on me though, not them. They are great players!) I took some liberties, and had some fun with it, especially in the breakdown. Thanks for watching!
Level 42 - Love Games (Bass Cover)

MARK KING MARK KING MARK KING!! I've been a monster fan since I saw a VHS Tape of Level 42 at Wembley in the 80s. He's an inspiration to bassists world wide. I used the version from their Sirens tour but I took stuff from multiple live versions (and added some of my own). Pedulla MVP5 Aguilar Tone Hammer Focusrite Scarlett Ableton
Chuck Mangione - Feels So Good Guitar Solo (Bass Cover)

I Have always loved this solo by Grant Geissman, and it was a lot of fun to learn. I have to admit though, I'm white knuckling it through the sixteenth note triplets towards the end! Warwick Thumb 6 Aguilar Tone Hammer Focusrite Scarlett Ableton
Dixie Dregs - Goin’ To Town (Bass Cover)

Another song by Steve Morse and the gang! Dave Larue again crushing it. I hope he doesn't mind my feeble attempt at playing his lines! Mayones Jabba (Hadrian Feraud Model) Aguilar Tone Hammer Focurite Scarlett Ableton
Steve Morse Band - Vista Grande (Bass Cover)

Love the song and love the show but never in a trillion years did I ever think of putting them together!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!! Cool stuff Chris.
Thanks! It was alot of fun to do 😊
I would call that a new take on Chuck Rainey's version. Too busy and too much pop pop pop in it to clutter it up. Good player that is way over playing a classic. Good effort but too much.
Thanks for watching!
Your tight and controlled right hand fingering technique reminds me of Gary Willis. He uses a home made ramp to keep his fingers from digging in too deep and just cranks up the amp volume to compensate for his soft fingering. He's got his own awesome style.
When Country meets Jazz.... Nice mix.
Never heard Bon Jovi having slap bass... Alec John Such was a solid bassist, but then got unjustly fired.
Masterpiece
Is that Red Phone behind you a direct dial to Commissioner Gordon?
Chuck always make me think of King of the Hill.
You are a natural player, and you make it look effortless.
Fun fact, Jeff Berlin tried out for Van Halen to replace Michael Anthony, but Eddie lost interest in Jeff when Jeff wanted to go home at 4 AM because he and his teenage daughter were tired. Jeff's a great player, but I don't see how his style would have gone with Eddie's playing. There's a reason that Mike Anthony was always pumping out the 16th notes, like in Mean Street, cuz it's what best complimented the sound of VH.
Interesting, I hadn’t heard that story. Seems a little off brand for Jeff, but he can certainly pump out 16th notes! My favorite story of his was when he was playing with Anderson, Wakeman, Bruford and Howe. He was tuning during the guitar intro to Roundabout and forgot to un-mute when he was finished (which we are all guilty of!) He jumps forward as he hits his E String to start the iconic bass line and NOTHING, lmao! He had to wait for it to come back around to come in. I love that story.
@@Chris_on_Bass I had no idea he jammed with Yes, he's a perfect fit. I enjoyed the Anderson / Ponty collaboration from a few years back, it was a unique and pleasant merging of talented musicians.
I saw Jeff, Billy Sheehan and Stu Hamm on their B3 tour in a club in Buffalo, NY. Great show!
You are grooving to a classic. ❤❤
That is some solid playing! Throw some tab or notation up on the screen or in the description and you could have yourself a nice bass channel.
Ok, Chris! I see you!!
Made my morning!
That really good! I love Steely Dan
Very rarely for covers to get the micro timing down so tight. Bravo
Thanks a lot!
Amazing job
Thanks!
Dang, Chris on Bass! Fantastic playing and song choice, subscribed!

Goosebumps!!!!! I know for sure you could cover this. th-cam.com/video/TEJDKpjVCXU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=33wSIK1_Y-_pEPD1
Thanks!! ❤
CHINGÓN!
😊❤
Takin her for a walk! Nice groove.
Tight and clean! Love it when you cut loose at the end also! Thanks for posting. I've been putzing around playing bass since 1999 but never got the lessons to clean up my sloppy play. Much respect for the effort you've put in to be an excellent bass player! Also grew up having a celebrity crush on Applegate, and Peg was always an older curiosity at my age lol. Nice video collage!
Thanks! I think we’ve all had a crush on Applegate!
Great player execution on a timelessly superb bass track ! Bravo man! Timed video of Al Bundy yelling “Peg” was a spot on perfect touch!
Thank you! It was fun doing the background video, her dancing in time with the guitar solo was a happy accident.
Awesome playing! that bass has a beautifully balanced sound between finger style and slap. Thanks for sharing.🙂
Wow, that’s high praise coming from such an accomplished player! Thank you! Love your channel, will be checking out more of your product reviews, and playing!
You bastard!!!!
lol! Thanks Brian!
Great playing and beautifully executed. That Hadrien Feraud Meyonnes bass sounds and looks amazing.
Thank you so much! I love everything about that bass!!😊
Amazing to see this! I'll humbly try to do play this one too. It's very encouraging to see such interpretation of this SMB song.
THE best Bon Jovi song for sure. And great rendition!
Thanks!!
❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭
Where are your real hands? This is clearly CGI… Your fingers are unnaturally fat, sir.
Bach and bass usually go together well. Little fugue in g minor
I’m quitting. 😂😂😂 Amazing Chris!!!🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
That guy has huge hands 😮
Siiiiiiick
Thanks!!
Amazing. Can you do the solo from Water on the Brain pt 2 next?
Lmao! That solo is a bear!! It won’t be next, but I’ll definitely take a closer look at it. Thanks so much for the suggestions!
Oh yeah!!
Chris, you’re still rocking!! It’s been a long time since singing and rocking in high school! You’re music is stellar now. Make some playlists⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved it!!!
Yesss❤

Thank you!!
Paul Young - Every Time You Go Away (Bass Cover) Super Top 🔝 😎🎸🎉✌️👌
This production is redic. Well down.
Master!
Thanks!!😊
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the compliment!! Another lifetime ago I played with a band called Tradia (melodic rock) we released a few albums in Europe. There are plenty of TH-cam videos. Other than that, just a couple popular cover bands.
So good to see such a killer on bass covering fusion deep cuts. Ok Chris, who did you play with?
🤯🤯🤯
pleasing to the ears
Thank you!
