Please don't let your invasive species of a pet outside unsupervised to disrupt the ecosystem. Take him for walks on a harness like you would do for your dog. Maybe you don't care about wildlife and having an intact ecosystem, buy you will regret it when he gets into some rat-poisoned prey or a coyote or car gets him.

Their role as hunters helped control rodent populations around human settlements. Rest assured, I do my best to minimize his impact on local wildlife while still allowing him to express his natural behaviors.

Oh come on. Not every cat is a skilled hunter. Mine killed only 1 vole in his life. This cat is probably top tier hunter. The rest...not so much.
It's not the cat's fault. It's the owner's irresponsible behavior to let a cat out to roam unattended. A dog let loose to wreak havoc would harass all sorts of rabbits, squirrels, and people too.
I wish all cats were like that traditionally, but they would need lots of checkups.
What kind of checkups do i need? 😱
