Mahindra jeep, CJ500D Start-up
cold cranking my 1987 CJ500D Mahindra jeep on a not so cold morning in Kerala. This is a very ritualistic process btw #jeep #mahindra.

A short drive in my Alfa Romeo 156. Beautiful car was a blast to drive. I even gave it a name, not something I normally do, but this one was called 'precious pearl'. Thought i'd make this video for quite a while and now that I have sold the car, I had to get this done - as a tribute

@@roshangomezSir Such old school Diesel Engines are excellent because if you set out for long journeys of 100s and 100s of kilometres the engine will never say no🙏.I am saying this from my own personal experience because only this January I went direct from Silchar Assam to Calcutta by my Mahindra Bolero ZLX of M2DICR 2523 cc 4 cylinder Diesel Engine we ran non stop only stopped at some places for break, what surprised me the most is the engine did not complain at all🙄🙏🙏
@@ghalibmahmudlaskar5980not sure of we can compare this one with the engine you referred to. Old Jeep engines (D, not DI ) and components radiator, steering etc... are known to have lots of deficiencies, which requires the driver (and finally makes them) to be really patient and not suitable for the way you drove the Bolero.
If you are happy
good job
First off, nice and clear review. You should've gone for the manual one. Maruti's AMT sucks. It really is horrendous compared to even a CVT. The smooth K12 engine with a stick is a fun combo and compensates for the bad build. Even I have an automatic Suzuki Ciaz and am trying hard to like it. The good fuel economy, ESP with hill start assist and classy 3 box sedan looks aside, the car doesn't have much going for it and isn't interesting at all. The car is boriiing to drive and interior build quality is just rubbish considering I spent nearly 13.5 lakhs on it. The only reason I got the automatic was that maruti was too stingy to provide ESP on the manual version. Well, having ESP saved our lives at an instance, I cannot drive a car without it. I like manual more. And then there are creaks and rattle in the door panels and from the dashboard only after an year and a half of owning it. And don't get me started on the crappy touchscreen intrface that is least user friendly and the horrible and chinese sounding speakers and rattling doors above volume level 20. Should've gone with the lower variant with an easy to use no frills head unit
I tried drove the car the AMT was well In sync
Is it difficult to maintain Red colour in swift ? Does this fade overtime?
Not really, polishing it once in a month or so helps. Stone chips during highway drives, especially around the bumper is more of a concern. Consider a clear wrap to protect these areas. Thanks for watching
thanks for the video-nice car and view
Another 156 :-) , could not get over the loss. A newer car with even higher (absurd) mileage and slightly older but stronger engine. Now running with a leaking clutch slave cylinder and some ungainly paint mismatch on the fender. I even roped in my old mech and put together a small garage (search b5garage dubai). Thanks for asking
@korio999 Thanks...
nice car,sounds great
Thanks bro... do take your pointer... cheers...
Youre better with the car man! That bikes goin nowhere in the gravel. Its way too heavy.
I was involved in Autocross sometime back. I used to have an 800 and used to outrun esteems and gypsys. Seriously, the way you take turns are good. You really can post some good times if you give a run. And My name too is Roshan !
Thanks.. :-), though autocross still requires far more skills than this....
Try autocross man, you got skills.
