What about a 2006 xc70 please
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. Thank you so much for making this video. I’m starting my process on Monday 10/21/2024
What a journey! I am learning so much by watching and realizing that I might not be able to fix body damage alone. I have a total loss Mustang 2019 with crash damage on the front left that needs body work. First time fixing a car btw!
This is one of the worst videos I have ever say trying. If you have no experience then it’s useless
Bro I thought you bought that machine
You just save my live
Great video, I'm stuck on one of the clips though lol
He literally edited out the MOST Difficult Part... 4head slap
Exactly 😅
What would the cost be to have someone install that in a 57 Chevrolet thanks
Nice shirts brother.
Hey boss how did you get that small copper c clip? I’m having a hard time placing it back in that little groove
@KS-133 with needle nose pliers and some luck, but that's how I did it.
No torque specs?
I installed the same all in one struts, same brand on my P3 2008 XC70. They were pure junk. I fortunately kept my old struts to have the springs and now the car has OEM SACHs with new mounts on it.

Hello bro Do you know if the shelby gt350 air bag will fit to mustang gt 2020 model? Thanks
So, your car has a separate rear shock in addition to the McFearson strut?
Seatbelt in rear hold the spare tire down. very cool
hey how do you get to the unload/load location? I can only find the single track stuff.
Would this keep from going into forward gears but it will go into reverse
Blue Loctite....not red. And what are the torque specs? Starting nuts with the impact? LOL
dealer and rock auto are saying you need to replace the upper cable at the same time. No thanks. Also, avoid the bushing part #14104 from auto stores. It's useless and doesn't hold onto the nipple from the shift lever.
China bomb tires strike again
Rx7
How many hours?
Good video. Very educational
On a 55 chevy
I'm in the process of installing vintage air as we speak . Keep videos coming. I need the information!!!
If you lose or break the clip go buy the bushings for the cables that can take a replacement . It comes with 2 bushings and a clip. Dorman 14104
Where does the drain tube go ?
the corner of the bed or you will need to drill a hole.
Love it. She ain't worried bout your filming
Caught me off guard by I kept it moving like a father would. no need to edit it out. seemed funny as it is.
@@BlueLineGarage it was great
Also, replacing the rear shock mounts is a better technique and will improve the ride. Shock mounts are like $25 each.
I strongly encourage a 4-wheel alignment after replacing the front and rear struts. Also, loosening the body-side bolts on the lower controls helps tremendously. Just remember to retorque in the "loaded" position (wheel at normal ride height).
08 xc70, as mentioned below,, with a few likes can not clear strut from knuckle! = my lower control arm bottomed out on frame, Need about 1 more inch lowwr. which prevents pushing down enough to clear strut out of the knuckle. Not sure why yours did . Another video the tech disconnects everything = much easier ... but I wish mine dropped as simple as yours.
Lookin good!!! Nice shots! Missed ya buddy!
Thanks! You too!
Lets go brother
Hellz Yeah brother!
That tiny clip you pushed out to separate the 2 cables , can that pop all the way out, or does it stop a certain point? I just didn't want to push on that tiny retaining clip & it pop all the way out & be screwed & not be able to get to back in.
It comes all the way out, but it's super fragile. Once removed, it tends to stay bent open a bit, and if force is closed to it original size, it sometimes breaks off. So be delicate when removing it and placing it back on. If breaks, then I would order the other cable that has it. Swap parts for that small little clip and then return it back to the store saying you ended up not using it, and thats how u get a replacement clip since they don't sell it separately.
@@BlueLineGarage genius lol
The correct way to do this is to remove the lower control arm. Other wise you risk damaging the strut beating on things with a hammer to get it properly aligned. Do yourself a big favor and remove the wheel well liner when doing this.
thanks for the advice. Hope others read it as well.
Sometimes just loosening the body-side bolts on the lower control arms is sufficient.
Nice loft build, just 1 question? What type of brackets did you/they use to slide the 2x4 or 2x6 down into that's giving the support for the floor and what's being used to support the middle of the loft floor.
the beams going across are support enough. the side 2x6 were bolted into the main structure of the house. there's no sag and no need to support the middle.
@@BlueLineGarage ok, and what type of brackets are those at the end of the 2x6's
this is the best video showing how to replace the cable. thanks
Thank you so much. Please make sure you subscribe and watch my other video's..
Just my 2 cents and i have been working on ATV's and motorcycles my whole life, first off do not use red locktite use the blue, also I always put the bolts on hand tight just to make sure it lines up all the way around the spacer, also i always torque the bolts to spec thats just how i do things. Sidenote i jsut recently did my buddies RAZOR 1000 XP, we removed the sway bar and added walker evan shocks set them really soft, we installed some new 28 inch tires, and it rides like being on marshmellows cannot feel any bumps at all, and riding behind him through some rocks and sme creek crossings it looks like a spider, we did get some high speed body roll when going about 55-60 and making quick turns, so we stiffened up the shocks a notch or two and now it does really well, with all this being said a wheel spacer WILL NOT FIX ANY TRACTION ISSUES all a spacer will do is allow a little more room for larger tires, and give you a wider stance for stability so keep in minds kiddos do not believe everything you here!!!!!!!!!
Hear? yes that is true but I also like don't believe everything you read as well. the spacers were really for stability and it sure did help from feeling the thing would roll over on a turn going moderate speed to feeling secure after the spacers installed.
Brave on sending straight on with a impact, instead of starting it with your fingers first. 😮
Great video. Thanks for doing this. Got a BakFlip arriving this week. Excellent example of doing an install with a stogie and *not* burning your hand. Just remember, "teeth aren't tools". Oh, wait, never mind. They work fine :)
haha.. that's great man. did you install yours yet?
buy a plasma cut dyde
I have since purchased one, its a bit jagged at times but it is easier to use.
Is it the lower or upper shift cable?
2x6's? And what thickness plywood?
3/4 base flooring plywood
Any advice on how to get the tiny brass clip in?
Takes time but nice and slow with a needle nose pliers.
Thank you
Question, is an alignment required after a shock/strut change? Thanks for this
Yes always
