I concur with the remarks you've made! *Travel time of 9hrs is just too "b8tt painful".* Already there is another VB to Coimbatore, so no point in providing stops at Tiruppur, Salem, Erode etc other than for coach watering purpose. And by eliminating these stops total traverse time can easily be brought under 8hrs.

Do not blame and put such thumbnail because of the trains unscheduled halts, my friend works as loco pilot in jtj junction and the halt is due to engine crew change, monthly thrice he takes this train up to chennai from jolarpet

The doubling work should be completed at the earliest upto chikkaballapura and providing memu trains from various parts of bengaluru like 1. Whitefield to chikkaballapura or kolar 2. Tumakuru to kolar or chikkaballapura 3. Kunigal or nelamangala to chikkaballapura to kolar 4. SMVT to kolar or chikkaballapura 5. Bidadi to kolar or chikkaballapura So that people can reach their final destinations at the earliest
