Chunkie Books I Want to Read this Autumn & Winter
I’m reading “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owen’s this Thanksgiving. If you never read it, you should. It’s an absolutely beautiful story and will move you to tears!
I have heard that one is good.
Hello ma'am,, Your TH-cam video quality is excellent. But your videos are not (SEO). Benefits of (SEO), means (Search Engine Optimization). 2. Views will increase. 2. Likes will increase. 3. Comments will increase. 4. Subscribers will increase. 5. Viewing time will be increased. 6. Audience will increase. 7. Sales will increase. 8. Business will increase. Are you interested? I will help you.
I truly admire your dedication. I just checked out your channel, and if I'm not mistaken, you've been at it for the last 7 years. That's really impressive! Lots of love 🤍
Thank you. I really appreciate that.
I could not take Ulysses. I dnf’d that sucker.
🤣
That's great. I often end up buying a few books I don't really read 🤥
hello I have already visited your TH-cam channel, all your videos are good but your videos have no views, title is not correct, description is not correct, SEO is not done, Rank tag is not done, so your videos are not getting views, your videos are not reaching people on social media, due to which your views are not getting. Your SEO score is very low
I can assure you that any review or project involving Stephen King will be very popular with your audience. His writing draws the largest reviews and we would all be interested in your take and thoughts regarding his works. I thought the “Gunslinger “was a good intro. I’m presently reading The Dark Tower “The Drawing of the Three “ - great book. I just finished “Firestarter” and can leave that book very much alone; not very interesting. Sometimes he writes a dud.
Ooh, I forgot I read Firestarter! That’s another reason for me to start over so I can remember which ones I read better.
Great video! What’s your favorite genre? And Yellowface is an audiobook already!
Fantasy is my favorite genre. Oh, thank you, I’ll have to check out the audio book.
The once and future witches sounds interesting! Thank you for the review!
It was good.
The bookmark is interesting!
I had thought growing up that this was about his guilty conscience. Hearing it now, im not so sure about that anymore.
I read it more as he was afraid of getting caught. What are you thinking it is?
Happens with me 🤣🤣🤣 suddenly i forget things by the time I get to the end of the sentence
Your walls look great too ❤️
Well teachers can be a bit annoying at times, don't they 😖
Wife of Bath.....one of the best stories there is 😁 Exactly, DON'T SKIP 💯
What can I say? I wanted to get Hamlet and I was annoyed. 🤣
Canterbury Tales can feel like an ordeal at first, but the stories there are really engaging. Loved them ❤️
Wow! Paradise Lost and Divine Comedy....they ARE something. And HUGE 😖
Yeah, it doesn’t seem like it because it’s poetry but it really is a different kind of challenge.
Would love to read your writeups 😊
The burp was funny🤭, but why apologise? You are so real and organic ❤️❤️, unlike many others who weak mask in front of the camera (and persons too!).
Didn’t want to gross anyone out.
Well that's a nice idea you've given me....true crimes as non-fictions! Do they read like a documentary movie? Can you give a few examples please?
Yes. Bad Blood, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, I’ll be Gone in the Dark.
What kinds of non-fictions do you like to read, other than memoirs and autobiographies?
History but not anything after the 60s.
Is there any way to buy books online from Oktoberfest (hoping this would be the spelling)?
There probably are sales online for Octoberfest inspired books. They way you spelled it is probably closer to German spelling.
Please excuse me for asking this...are you a professor by any chance? You have this aura of a professor around you ❤️ Forgive me if this question makes you uncomfortable. Ofc, I do not wish to intrude into your privacy. Just curious.
I wish I was but I’m too shy and I would have do a few more years of schooling, but I appreciate that compliment.
@@jackiesliterarycorner you say you are shy and yet doing these excellent reviews and discussions, that too in front of a camera! Unbelievable! That takes quite a bit of courage. ❤️ Way to go...
Thank you.
Will try get a copy soon! Thanks for the encouragement ❤️
I actually find myself still thinking about this one despite my mixed feelings.
Hi! How did you like the ending of the novel?
I did, but I was overwhelmed by all the reveals.
Quick question: how did you like Agatha All Along?
I’m loving it personally.
Also, your argument about the book's cover was apt!
Not reading any spooky books right now, but I was planning to read R.L.Stine
You gotta read some RL Stine.
@@jackiesliterarycorner thank you. I will
Did you grow up with RL Stine? Or is this your first time?
@jackiesliterarycorner I'm 26 now. Used to read Stine (as far as I remember, only 1 book) when I was 12 or 14 years old. Frankly, it was more of an adventure than "goosebumps." Now that you've reminded me, I'm being very nostalgic and hoping to get my hands on one soon!
Yeah, I was more into the show and only read a couple of the books.
Yessss another AYAOTD review! I actually haven't seen "The Tale of The Hatching" but I have seen "The Tale of the Whispering Walls" many times. I have purchased a few episodes and The Whispering Walls is actually one of them! I think my favorite episode is still going to be The Super Specs. Your channel is awesome and I always watch new posts and I still have notifications turned on after your last AYAOTD review! 😂🎉
Thank you, sorry it's taken me so long to post another one. Super Specs is an awesome episode, especially the ending, and it also introduces Sardough.
Shogun is great! One of the best I've read till date
Next time I buy kindle books, I think I’m going to purchase on there.
@@jackiesliterarycorner of course
@jackiesliterarycorner if you are comfortable with PDFs an even better option is to haul books from pirated sites. I know I shouldn't have said this, and I'm sure you already know (a bookworm that you are), but they are the best! 🤭
@@DREnglishLover I appreciate the suggestion, but yeah, I'm not too keen on PDFs.
Interesting style of reading! ❤ Quite humorous!
In a good or bad way?
@jackiesliterarycorner in an excellent way
Okay, good.
😂😂
You are a gem! What an analysis!
The way you review shows how you engage with the books! Quite rare these days. Hope to hear more from you and be enlightened.
Thank you. I gotta admit, seeing other reviewers videos or posts on Goodreads makes me little insecure about my style of reviewing. I don't know if note taking will help, but I don't know if that will change what I feel and notice about a book either.
@jackiesliterarycorner don't know about note taking, might help. But your style of review has a sense of rawness, something very organic which I often miss in most reviews. Yes, they (the other reviews) are great in their own way, of course, but yours is somehow unique and, allow me to say this, quite magnetic. Loving it to the core! I hope you'd continue. And, excuse me for being informal, but boy oh boy...you've read quite a number of books! ❤️
@@DREnglishLover Thank you.
Sounds like a heartbreaking love story 💔
Thank you ❤️
Can you pls show us the artwork?
This inspired me to do a dramatic reading of "At Home in Stars" where I show the illustrations. I hope you like it.
@jackiesliterarycorner I absolutely did. Couldn't join during during the live session. But listened to it. It was fabulous, both the book and your dramatic style of reading.
Never would I have thought of reading “Gone with the wind” as a novel, but after your review, I took it out and have begun to read it. What an outstanding classic! When I’m finished with the novel, I’ll watch the movie.
Yes, it’s brilliant, but there are aspects that not everyone loves. Scarlet is such a compelling character whom you love and hate at the same time.
I tried to read “The Name of the Rose” but to no avail. It contains too much theory and semantics and Latin which I can’t understand. I had to dnf the book along with “Wolf Hall”, both of which are pretty highly regarded historical fiction novels as per some BookTube creators who I follow. Dan Simmons and James Michener are good historical fiction authors. I just finished “Lonesome Dove” by Larry McMurtry, a true masterpiece of fiction!
What you said about "The Name of the Rose" is basically how I feel about "Foucault's Pendulum", too much theory, not enough plot. He seems to be an author that not everyone will love. I haven't started Wolf Hall, but want to give it a shot. Maybe I'll have to check out Dan Simmons and James Michener.
This is great! ❤
Autumn is absolutely my favourite time of year, I'm always so ready for it after the hot days of summer. I've been choosing my Victober reads today, and been really enjoying watching everybody's TBRs. I love your choices. Wuthering Heights is a favourite of mine too. Great video!
It’s become my favorite season as I have gotten older.
I love autumn and I will do Victober but haven't picked all my books yet.
I'm so indecisive I have a hard time narrowing it down. If you want to I would love to know what you pick for your TBR for Victober.
@@jackiesliterarycorner For sure will be Silas Marner and The Sign of Four. Then maybe East Lynne, No Name and The Picture of Dorian Gray
Dorian Grey is one of my favorites so I hope you like it. I also Silas Marner and it’s a very sweet story.
Share food with the homless and never lie. reverse all lies ever told very important for the soul. to provide food for the poor and be a food servant and do this in person . No Attrwctive no nude for her
Just because ive been curious, what is your ethnicity?
I'm a quarter Filipino.
So, I have Heartstone and Mr. Darcy's Dragons, and I am trying to decide which one to read. Which one would you recommend?
I haven't read Mr. Darcy's Dragons, but I liked Heartstone.
I enjoy listening to you talk about your show season about as much as I do listening to you talk about the books you read. Also, I love your blouse. Such a cute summer color and style.
Just going through my comments. Thank you. It’s a dress actually.
As Always, quality reviews. Thank you Jackie!🙏🏻🙌🏻🖖🏻
I put some of these on my book wish list!
I hope you enjoy them.
Excellent quality reviews as always
Thank you.
I have a severe phobia of driving and even as a passenger. I learned to drive but it took a while, I cried for weeks with stress. Twice I panicked so bad I almost rammed into a building while trying to park and once I stopped in the middle of a very busy road because I couldn't remember where the blinker was to change lanes. It was bad and not safe. I have trust issues so being a passenger is the worst too. I am always in panic mode especially near big rigs, work trucks, etc. So, I refuse to drive. My psychiatrist has helped a lot in getting me to realize I don't need to be ashamed and that no one should pressure me to drive because I know I should not be on the road with my level of anxiety and fear. I say that because people in my life have tried to pressure me. Bookstores alone don't happen so my husband takes me. He is supportive, but I know he's bored so then my guilt anxiety forces me to hurry up even when he doesn't mind. Ugh. Thank goodness for my mental health medication because it would be worse. You are not alone when it comes to not driving and having the setbacks because of it. I so understand.
