No Man's Sky 212,321 all-time peak 17,833 24-hour peak maybe you see what I'm saying by now? every game loses about 50% up to 90% of the players in a couple months every game that's listed is a multiplayer. and Monster Hunter: World 329,333 all-time peak 57,724 24-hour peak hell this one should be dead because they stopped updating it because they were working on other games and yet there are still a players. game is not dead and until there are no more people playing. again my point is no game keeps its peak player base never. and until there are no more players or the game goes down the games not dead.

@@LWinsDoin0 my ex gf had mario galaxy 2 for the wii, played it for a bit. on the original wii. MOTION CONTROLS WERE A********SSSSS. lol hopefully a switch version comes out because its 100% the reason I liked Galaxy on my 2nd try.

they've already updated some stuff, even added a 60fps mode, added more monsters *THAT IM SO SURE THEY CREATIVELY MADE UP THEMSELVES* and its still not doing great. Its just not a deep game.

The game, as it stands now... kinda sucks. It was fun at 1st, but the grinding is a major turn off, and the game itself is still very glitchy. No music is most area's, the lighting is ps2 levels of woof. For some reason this game seems to scratch a very particular itch some ppl have. After about 15 hours think I'm done.

I think your graphics settings are turned down (halfway through writing this I realized you're on console). My game looks a lot better than what i'm seeing in your video. Some of the settings are turned down by default, especially DLSS which improves lighting effects a lot. The throwing pals on benches is one of the worst bugs, but you can just use the command post thing to do it easily and you need it for breeding anyway. If you think its too grindy then change your world settings? I play on 3x exp and 1.5x drop rate when I play solo. The problem this game has is that a lot of the glitches have work around that veteran players use without thinking about it these days so those glitches don't get a lot of people complaining about them. You said you've got 15 hours? I'm nearing 100 and there's still a lot I've never done in this game lol.

saying this game needs SOME polishing is like saying "well Mrs. Lincoln, besides the obvious did you enjoy the play?" lol. If this got the Mario polish treatment sure. As far is live service drop off goes... our boys with Helldivers 2 have managed to survive. Sure its not at release levels, but still a 6 figure number online on weekends.

i mean ya of course, but you'd be surprised how many ppl tell me the n64 era "holds up insanely well" ---- i want proof. show your play times in the n64 emu on switch. besides banjo/starfox/mario 64 ---- its alot of garbage.

for all the hate that Re4remake got for "yElLoW pAiNt" this game would be 100000 times better if they'd help point you in the right direction. Also ya... the metroid style of level design sucks ass. I hate it. combat was fun, story very good. graphics good. level design sucking ruins the entire thing.

I remember in grade school alot of ppl said this game whipped. Maybe it did back when we were 8. Today. In my 30s. Woefully disappointed lol. As with most games in the N64 emu on Switch.

Its one of my favorite games EVER. Top 6 of all time, as far as the PS5 era goes... Its right up there with GOWR, and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Such a solid game. My only issue is the sidequests kinda stink. SOME are very good. Around 70%-ish are fluff, they DO add to the lore of the world itself and DO help build other aspects of the story, but poorly executed. Regardless, You're in for a treat whenevery you decided to give this a whirl.

ya its def not for everyone, i didnt mind the main game, because there was always a new area to explore. The new DLC map feels very sectioned off. If you're gonna make a sandbox game let us.... you know... explore the sandbox...

eh, i dont really buy into that. There are Mario games I didnt like. (galaxy, and galaxy 2 - yup. sorry i was an adult when those came out) also not a huge fan of the mario party series lately. The games are good or they're not. Nintendo focuses on gameplay first. Graphics last. Fun art direction 2nd. They seem to think outside the box way more than the copy paste devs of the west. Astro Bot is just more ammo for that argument. i NEVER liked ANY of the previous zelda's minus *a link to the past* hated every single 3D zelda from there on out. Until BOTW. Nostalgia didnt make me buy a switch. Seeing BOTW gameplay did.

lmfaooooooo i like the SWITCH version of Mario Galaxy. The one where they took the motion controls away, with that said, the Switch motion controls are 100 times better. I just like my Mario with button presses, not waving a wand which ruined galaxy 1 and 2 for me. Plus walking around on a sphere never felt good to me. Odyssey is the best 3D Mario, but I get where ppl are coming from with Galaxy, especially with their age. Whatever mario most played as kids is their GOAT, which is why weirdo's in their 30s and 40s still claim Mario 64 is the best when its vomit sauce in 2024.

I'll admit, a lot of my love for galaxy is definitely nostalgia. I never minded the motion controls, but I see why it could be annoying. And yeah, spherical 3D mario is quite frustrating sometimes. In any case, I think mario galaxy is a good game overall, and if we strip away the nostalgia, I don't think it's a horrible experience. Anyways I'll stop yapping about mario galaxy on the mario odyssey video. Yes odyssey is better obviously.
