If the brown bear is far enough, slowly and calmly back away, walking downwind, keeping the bear in sight. If it is a mother with cubs, play dead on your stomach, covering your neck with your hands and keeping your legs apart. I’m not sure what to do if it’s a human-eating bear though.

Our family had such an amazing time with this charter and the crew in August of 2019! I would recommend them to anyone looking to have an incredible, well thought out and executed charter. If we come back to Homer we will be going out with them for sure. Let me know fellas if my wife still has the record halibut on y’all’s boat!
