Fun look at some good games you don't own and why.

Waw, what a misleading episode. Besides X-Wing, this has NOTHING to do with wargames. Get your words straight. Risk and Twilight Imperium are not wargames, not the same as Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, MESBG, Bolt Action or anything like that. And you guys spoke about a lot of interesting games at the beginning, and you didn't even put them in the discription, big missed oportunity there, you guys really peaked my interest about the Oceans game and the other Ape game that I don't even know the name anymore, there might be people looking for podcasts about these games and they would never find your episode because you didn't take the time to write them up. Bummer.

You guys covered almost every one of my pet peeves but I have a big one that was missed. Many players are visual learners and prefer to learn the game as turns are being played which is great so usually the teacher will go through a rundown of the rules and address the nitty gritty as it comes up. The problem comes when a player learns a rule by other players using it or by learning that they can't do a certain action and accuses the teacher of intentionally hiding that rule to have an advantage over them even times where it makes little to no difference. Many times they then get upset and try to ruin the game for everyone else because they feel it's unfair towards themselves. I understand that many times details are missed when explaining rules and it sucks to be blindsided by a rule you didn't know, but you've got to roll with the punches when learning a new game and many times it takes a few plays to really understand a game. I've seen this happen also when the particular rule was explained in detail before the start of the game and during another players turn and the player still accuses the table of hiding the rule from them to make them lose and it ruins the excitement of learning a new game. Seriously guys, you are never going to get any TH-cam viewers if all you are doing is putting your audio podcasts to a static picture. I listen to your audio podcasts when they come out and you guys have good content. Don't be afraid to show your faces.

I enjoyed the discussion. But in the future. And I don't know how hard this would be. But it would have been nice to have a slideshow of 3-5 shots of the game so that I could better picture what you were talking about.
