ACE!!!!!
Damn!!!
I watched this live as a ten year old, and I still to this day come back from time to time to this video and enjoy the performance JD put on.
Thanks for sharing i saw them 5 times
Beautiful brutality, so exciting.
Who are the people walking around?! I’d be stuck mesmerized
There is only one J. D. SIMO. As Kelley used to say, "Everybody we play is either dead, or ain't feelin too good." When I traveled to Nashville, I spent a lot of time at Robert's to hear the best band on Broadway. I read a while back Don Kelley retired. That's a big loss for the Nashville music scene. Jordan Peterson talked about the band on a podcast last week and that's what brought me here.
Excellent performance God bless y’all.
Out of all the guitar players that Don has had over the years I guarantee you that with J.D Simo in the band, they got way more money in the tip jar. Don has had players who were more proficient, technical, an overall “better” guitarist than J.D in his band, but no one has ever come close with stage presences. Simo is a great guitarist but a even better entertainer. People don’t come out to listen to music, they are there to see a show. So many bands would be more successful if they practice an rehearsed their show.
i didnt know a guitar could handle that kind of assault
Man I need a shot of what ever JD was on playing that.
These guys can play! Best show on Broadway!
This guy fucks for sure.
This was too awesome even for JD... HOLY SHIT!!!!!
Best band in Nashville
Well...if that don't get your wood started your fire's wet.
Hope JD got paid extra for that one! He put every ounce of his soul into it.
Oh man that was the coolest instrumental I've ever seen. Holy S#@T
Jesus Mary and Joseph, 11 lost souls downvoted this--a performance so blistering i watched it twice.
When I had the luck to play with the marble man, TIME WARP, it was a lot tamer than this. It was classic country back then. You could park on Broadway if you were lucky.
J D Simko one heck of a guitar player I would put him up there with Vince Gill and and all the great guitar players in Nashville TN I am a country gospel singer songwriter been trying to organize a band man would, love to,have J,D, in my band if anyone know s,anyone in the Winston Salem Greensboro High Point NC area who is a guitar lead rythum guitar bass player and drummer please call me at 336 880 3858 I want to desperately form a band please call me thanks and have a Happy,New,Year

Well holy shit.
This band is awesome. Joe Fick is their bassist now and he makes the band. Daniel is no longer with them but they replaced him with a pretty darn good guitar player.

I've been drunk in that bar! Great playing JD!
JD, you are a madman! Fabulous!!!!
I've played guitar for 30 years when I first saw this video a few years ago. I had never owned a Telecaster before. The day after I saw this video I went and bought a Tele. It has been my #1 ever since. Tom
I was the same too. I played my Strat forever until I tried a Tele. For some reason I never played a Tele over the years.Until that faithful day I walked into a music store .I saw a 2003 US Fender Tele Tobacco Sunburst maple neck on the wall with price tag of 750$ +tax used .I walked around the store & some guy took of the wall & was playing it. I was looking around the store but the sound of that Tele was amazing! I walked up to the guy & he said .You play guitar?I said Yeah.He said"You gotta try this one its amazing but I can't afford it" I sat there & it just seemed to play it self?I played it for about 15 min & decided THAT'S IT! Then the store owner said to me .Hey Dude I gotta a guy calling me to put that Tele aside so he can buy it! I said "No" I want it but can you make a better price? We settled at $700 tax in . That Tele has been my main for the most part of my playing .
fearless frankie Awesome story!
I don't know if you got a Tele but I feel in love with them after I got my main ? Oddly enough Most Guitarists I spoke to over the years they either had one or have a couple! I'm looking for another one now as a back up! I'm always looking for more guitars to spice up the herd! I'm also looking for a Gibson Hollow body dot neck or Dosenbreg or a Gretsch White Falcon I currently have 2 Fender Strats. A Gibson Les Paul Studio ,Gibson SG, a Jackson Dinky, a JS 100 Ibenez , a Libertore Neck thur custom made I had since 1987, & my TRUSTY Fender Telecaster! You know we just can't ONE??
yeahh..that's true
Caddicarus...
Good night, it's a wonder he don't paralyze himself from the neck down! If he rocks out like that on a Johnny Cash song, I believe the dude would spontaneously combust on a Stevie Ray song lol!
The title should be how to relic a Tele PT 1 .... doods smokin man !!
Woah. That vid gives me a heart attack!
I was walking past that doorway last summer when I heard JD and I was stuck there every night for 5 nights until I had to leave Nashville. The guy is young, humble, and insanely talented. Just a telecaster, and an old Fender amp, and yet all that magnificent sound! I am surprised he is not hugely famous by now.
go see them when you're in Nashville. They are a blast. Gets the best session musicians in town.
that dude dont play the guitar he attacks it....very nice
DO NOT miss these guys if you can when in Nashville or if you're close enough to drive go see them.. Worth every mile.. Lots of amazing players in Nashville and Jd is right there with them.. I love how he puts more rock and roll into it.. more edge and not pussified lol!!
WOW! J.D. Simo is the most exciting guitarist in Nashville...and that's saying a lot! BRAVO!
dude can throw down on that tele..
@wngman200 I hope he wont get rid of this song because it fits no matter what you wanna call it - Rock, Country, or just freaking awesome! :)
saw them last week at Robert's...they were fucking awesome!! most fun i've had in a long time
Nashville - Mt Olympus of guitarists!
I've been a huge fan of Simo since he was 15 years old. This electrifying clip brings it all back to me of watching this kid blow me away with his chops ten years ago. Anybody who has never seen this guy live on stage is missing the show of their lives. J.D. Simo kicks more ass on stage than Mike Tyson does in a boxing ring...
Anybody who has never seen this guy on stage before needs to make a trip to Nashville to see him play, and it will be worth every penny you pay to get there. Simo is the most electrifying guitarist I've ever seen on stage...this guy will knock your out of your seat everytime with his monster skills and stage presence! You seriously don't know what you are missing until you see this guy TEAR IT UP on guitar.
