I'm going to test this, but I'm pretty sure it was because of the spindash into the rocket. If I'm correct there was a camera adjustment zone in front of it and since you went over that and right into the rocket's hitbox it was unable to correct itself. After that when it kept going was because camera adjustment sones typically don't set it to a specific angle, usually they just move it bit by bit according to the game's code, eventually it just kept going and going until it was fully backwards. I will edit this comment after I have tested it to see if my GAME THEORY is correct!

Yeah, I've seen a lot of these camera glitches in the Sonic X Shadow Generations port. I hope it gets patched soon, if that's possible with it being on an old engine

I also got the same glitch in the same rising platform spot. It's interesting because the controls in 2d seem to be based on where the camera is in relation to Sonic.

I found this glitch as well. I spindashed from the second moving platform back to the left, and the camera died. It also had the side effect of disrupting the moving platofmrs patterns, so I couldn't jump to the second. I think I just went the lower path left, and the pattern was normal again

I know why, Sometimes you can accidentally miss a camera sequence you're meant to activate in a stage and that previous sequence you've done got stuck like that the entire level. This was also in OG gens.

I noticed some loopty loop glitches and those spiral things in green hill with classic too, for some reason he was spazzing in and out of reality and I couldn’t move lmao
