That's great. I hope these blind and visually folks are being paid competitive wages, instead of sub minimum wages or slave wages. I'm legally blind myself and I refuse to work for sub minimum wages or slave wages. I know a lot of blind and visually impaired folks who have Bachelor's Degrees and Master's Degrees and still can't find meaningful employment. That's really sad.

Pasco County student Maria Bustinza won the Florida Division of Emergency Management Kids Severe Weather Awareness Week Poster Contest! Maria, from Chasco Elementary School, is the 2016 Region 4 winner. Her artwork was chosen for the top honor among schools from 8 west central Florida counties.Maria was recognized at her school during a special ceremony April 27, 2016. She and her teacher received several prizes for the winning poster. “Pasco County’s Office of Emergency Management is thrilled to be able to honor Maria and celebrate her artwork,” said Pasco County Emergency Services Director Kevin Guthrie. “She’s setting a wonderful example for her classmates and the rest of the community, reminding everyone to stay informed and be prepared for any kind of severe weather.” Hurricane Season begins June 1st and ends November 30th. OMG. Chopper Davis. Dude I worked for you in the 80's at Jilly;s. It is soooo good to see you. This is Jenny the lady that you all had a football pool for my pregnancy and son who was born named Anthony. I really miss those times cause everyone was so nice in that bar...like Cheers. And the Dive bar trips and all the fun. I came down w/ my daughter (who is 14 now) in 2009 and visited Mindy and Robbie Marker and it was like I had never moved. I always thought you would have something to do w/ the city cause you were always in touch w/ stuff going on. Take care my friend and I hope to see you again. How about a friends of NPR group that collects money to rent the empty buildings downtown and provide to artists as workshops to allow open touring of artists at work in downtown NPR?

Excellent video by Carl Orth, who has covered the Pasco Tax Collector's Office promotion on behalf of the Sheriff's K-9 Association. Over $28,000 was raised to help support the K-9 officers who risk their lives daily to keep our community safe. The newest member of the K-9 Unit is K-9 Shep, who was purchased through the generous donation of a member of our community.

It's certainly not like the other advertised video.....lol.....but I do hope for the true vision of Sun West Harbourtown. I just hope the project isn't abandoned midway. I'm truly pulling for this. We need something over here in this part of Pasco county that doesn't have to do with car lots, bars, and pawn shops....and *more* pawn shops. The best thing they've done over there was put up Aldi's in an area that needed a grocery store and open a state park, which hopefully will be more like a state park instead of just dirt trails only. Starkey Park is good, however, they haven't hosted any fun events in eons. I was thinking of moving out of Pasco, but this project *crossing fingers* is one of the things that would make me stay.

I'm sad now because it's my son's favorite park,but soon we will be more than happy with its new designs and playgrounds.! Thanks Pasco county for your caring about kids..!

I miss u New Port Richey!! I used to live in the Hacienda in the mid-80's when Mike Batista owned it. Was a very mysterious place with lots of hidden rooms and a creepy basement. The place is very much haunted, but I think it should be inhabited again because it is a beautiful structure inside and out. I had an experience of my own and it was time to move. There was a video that had been on you tube about the Hacienda and the guy had some real creepy night time pics outside but I don't see that video anymore. If I had known there were spooks I would have never lived there. Mr. Batista wasn't very selective about who he rented to either. I was there w/ 2 other girls and we pretty much had to watch our backs. There is (or was) a beautiful intricate bar in there that faces out over Sims Park. It would be fun to explore in there. Behind the enormous kitchen is a small hidden door that leads up to 6 small rooms and in the 80's the original red carpet from the 20's and 30's was still in the rooms. They were the bordello rooms. The talk about New Port Richey being Hollywood...the Hacienda was a part of that history.

I messed it up i know cpl john rux and Thor my dad and him are friends. Thor is such a good boy and i love him very much he is nice when he is off duty and he is so big too good boy boo boo i am proud of you thor
