OK I just looked it up. I never heard of the road I am in the states. I live about 40 miles from the tail of the dragon.
Beautiful where is this at ?
Thank you Wade, its a twisty road close to Uccea, between Italian and Slovenian border 😀
Che moto
Ciao Loris! Ho visto i tuoi video, belli!
Grazie intanto!!!
Sound like a Dyson hoover.
thank you for the qualified opinion
Nice to see a pillion actually helping by leaning over too. Most just sit and copy the rider when touring, or looking at the scenery all the way.
Nice scratch, hardcore! I like the way how you drive your BMW!!!
Ay Py thanks mate :)
Ciao Loris, ho visto la tua Rockster, hai rimosso proprio tutto, come ti trovi?
Nice ride. Do you still have your rockster? Any of the "known issues" crop up? I've got one with 18,000 miles running strong. Just wondering what your experience with it is.
+BMRTV hi! thank you for your comment! i still has the bike and after almost 6 years of ownership i'm still in love with her! it's my first bike so i think it will be difficult to consider selling it i went through hundreds of (llight) mods (shorter parlever arms, Laser Epromo and complete exhaust with manifolds, Wilbers suspensions and stuff...) last summer i decided to bring it back to original setup, except for the shocks because i love how they work i bought the bike used, with 23.ooo kms on the clock, now it has 52.ooo and the only one issue (well known, as far as i heard) was the coils issue 15.ooo kms ago bike started to have an irregular idle and engine was not able to run above 5500/6000 rpm with throttle wide open changing the coils solved the problem and the bike returned to run perfectly
+loris199 Nice, thanks for the feedback. I got mine with 4800km and rode it last year up to 29,000km. The one thing I don't like is the servo/power brakes....gotta decide if I'm going to remove that or not. Might look into upgrading the front shock too (could use better feel/feedback when cornering hard). Super comfortable and love the torque..
nothing sounds like it
looks like a great ride, lots of fun - but you blew that stop sign. Don't become a statistic!
hell yeah bro like a boss
Rockster is also my first (and only) bike ever =) i bought it in july 2010, and started riding "decently" next year i was lucky to follow my friend's suggestions he told me "Rockster is the best choice for an unexperienced rider, and will give you so much fun" he was right ;-) top speed...i don't know...honestly the only one time i found a straight i pushed to 200, but i don't like speed so i quit i think the speedometer will give you like 220, and the real speed will be more or less 210
Remus sound is very cool, i have it too
men you are so lucky with all those nice roads, i'm a bit jealous your riding stile is a bit similar with my, i have to admit i started my biking hobby just last year, and the rockster i have is the first bike i ever tried to ride . i think i fell in love with this bike, it has something special. i am 28 , maybe that's the reason i pull the throttle a bit like you. by the way what is the max speed you had ? i pull up to 220 km/h, no more
Barney, i was thinking about getting a lower seat just for my father, so he could touch the ground easily with both foot i'll send you a message with some links :)
i can show you the small turning light how visible is in dark , i make soon a vid
i see you have also standard seat, trust me the lower seat is more comfortable, i could easy ride 700 km one day . send me some links , maybe i can do some more modifications on my rockster
men i know what you feel on that bike, it is just amazing to ride. nice video
thank you mate! yep, a twisty road with almost zero traffic, a twin cylinder with tons of torque! that's pure fun, and low risk ;-) cheers! L.
Looks like a very fun ride. Nice video!
Thanks Loris, Sounds Good, Thanks, Paul.
engine has got tons of torque, starting from 2000rpm constantly till 7500! you can almost forget to use the gears :) and it's one of the most confortable bikes around, both for rider and passenger; i have also a couple of bags so no problem to carry some stuff for the long travels... and finally, the bike looks sooooo cool and people is always staring at her :P (it's not a common bike!!!)
well mate, i don't know what kind of bikes you have in your garage but i can only say good words about the Rockster; this is my first bike, never rode anything else (except a 50cc when i was young...) i fell in love with a 2001 Speed Triple but a friend told me to think about the BMW...and he was right! this is an heavy bike but when you start going it is so perfectly balanced (and the center of masses is relly low) so that the bike is absoultely a masterpiece in handling
Yes, beautiful..... I am thinking of a Rockster to add to my Garage, and your Videos have certainly helped. Thanks, Paul.
to see a nice road i suggest you also to take a look at another video i posted some weeks ago, titled "BMW Rockster & Ducati GT 1000 ad Uccea"; starting from minute 6 the road starts to be particulary funny =)
i'm not so experienced with google maps but...i updated the description of the video, it should show you the start of this short ride; the mountain is called Monte Zoncolan and it's famous because the road on other side of the mountain is the hardest stage of the "Giro d'Italia", the most famous bike race in Italy (like the "Tour" in France and the "Vuelta" in Spain)
No worries Loris, What road were you riding? Cheers, Paul.
thanx for your appriciation Paul, can't wait for the spring to come! i miss my Bimmer =) cheers from the opposite side of the World ^_^ Loris
Excellent Video, thanks.
