I just realized that many of the Predacons in this vid (who also all showed up in the Beast Hunters toyline at some point, I believe) actually have designs very similar to the Terrorcons from the G1 series and toyline.

I thing thats how the new predacons came about in the promo because shockwave still have some predacons on cybertron maybe he tried deposing it but the experiment fail

Probably not an accident on Hasbro's part; especially since there seems to be a combiner team that form a Gestalt named Abominus. If they hadn't already used "Terrorcon" for the Dark Energon zombies, they probably would have used the name for this series Predacons.
