Royal Navy Lynx leaving Telford Exhibition Centre 11th November 2012
This is a short video of a Royal Navy Lynx leaving the Telford Exhibition Centre, The quality isn't very good as it was taken on my mobile phone. It had been visiting the Exhibition Centre for the weekend for the IPMS show. It was a great end of a wonderful weekend. Thanks must go to all the organisers and volunteers that made the weekend go so smoothly and go so well. Here's to next year guys

M.V Pride of Hull arriving back into Hull
มุมมอง 20K13 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows the Pride of Hull arriving back at Hull on Sunday 19th June 2011. The ferry carries passengers and freight across the North Sea nightly and brings employment and trade into Hull. She is truly a local hero of the area. The music track is from the film soundtrack 'Local Hero'
Short video of M.V. 'Norland' made in 1995

I made a few trips on Norland but this was my first ever trip on her. Remember back then when all the food was in with the fare :D Anyway Norland holds many good memories for me. Note the Rotterdam terminal before the big ferries arrived. The quality isn't that good as it was transferred from analogue to digital format

This is a video of the ferry 'Pride of Hull' leaving Hull and passing Grimsby and heading towards Spurn Point lighthouse
Ah finally found the video after all this years!
Very nice video!
Beautiful arrival!
We are now in 2023.The Zeebrugge Ferry has gone and they will run the Rotterdam ferries down. This is a rogue Middle East company owning these ship and they have sacked many people without remorse. We need a different company in. Hull .Also more competition to the continent by ship from Hull.
Shut up. I work on pride of Hull.
My ferry "to go" when working in Alsace/Lorraine and Koblenz. Hull to Zeebrugge, sometimes to Rotterdam. Overtaken later by closer to home service by DFDS Tyne Commissioners Quay to Amsterdam (Ijmuiden). North Sea Ferries not quite the same after take over by P & O.
I had 2 cruises on the Norland. Down to the Falklands in July 82 from the Ascension Island and back agin in Dec 82. We were the 1st regiment ( Q O Hldrs) stationed there after the war and we relived the paras who were on their way home. Brings back memories. Great video
Awesome vessel
What's this music?
Shame P&O have decided to re register her In Nassau!

The Music is the Departure-Song of AIDA Cruises ;-)
Nice to see the model of M.V. Norland on show in Zeebrugge Passenger Terminal on Thursday.
I went to the Falklands with 1st Bn Queens Own Highlanders from Ascension Island on the Norland in 1982 after swapping with the Paras. She got us there in force 12 storms without stabilisers.... 40 foot waves. Sorry to hear she is scrapped.
Thanks Samuel, been on the POH many many times. I was on the POY (Norsea) when she arrived back into Hull and the POH had just been delivered that morning from Italy. Unfortunately my camera batteries died and I didn't get any photos but she did look great draped in flags and regalia.
Great film - shame it involves Hull. I have worked in Hull for the last 8 years and can honestly say the place needs dragging out into the North Sea and sinking. The only P&O vessel I board these days is called Oceana or Azura.
my sister worked on board when this was filmed!
Amandamoo73 is she Filipino
I played on this ship with my band QUEST mid 90s ish brill boat brill crew brill time
Yes she was a great ship and didn't deserve to be scrapped like she was. She could have been preserved especially considering her colourful history but the UK despite being a sea going nation just doesn't seem to think much of it's maritime history.
hi mate what a great video mart
Yes it was worth getting up early to see the ship arrive that morning. Pleased you liked it and thanks for your nice comment Dave Cheers mate Gray
You'll be safe as houses on these ships as they make the crossing to the continent every night and are designed to withstand anything the North Sea can throw at them. Mind you if it gets too rough you might not though lol. I once did a crossing in a Force 10 and I'm afraid it was back to the cabin and bunk time lol Glad you liked the video

what a lovely white boat
i'll sleep better tonight after watching this truly amazing video
i was on the pride of hull on the 28th of may
I made quite a few crossings while serving in BAOR in the early 70s Thanks for the happy memories.
Very good clip, the music go's very well with the M.V pride of Hull
It is sad to hear that Both MV Norland and sister MV Norstar are now at the breakers in India.
I have just read that this fine ship has been sent to India to be scrapped. GUTTED!
Just rewatched the vid as the first time it stalled half way through. The steward hoovering the restaurant was on my watch so I was more than likely hoovering one of the other quarters of the restaurant at the same time as the video was filmed !! He's called John Edgar and I worked along side him til he retired probably about in '97. Thanks again for posting this clip. Seeing that it was my blue watch and that I would have been on board too made it even more special.
Superb. I had many trips on this and it's sister ships. I have to confess a lump in the throat as the film ended. Well Done !
Great vid. I worked on the Norland from 1994 til 1998 so there's a 50/50 chance I was on this trip.
I was on the last commercial voyage of the Norland 27th February 2002 and back again to Hull on the 28th February (Although the return sailing was originally to be operated by the MV Norsea). Nice to see her again. I spent many enjoyable crossings on her. It was good to meet some of the old crew and troops who sailed with her to the Falkland Islands in 1982.

The song title is actually "Orinoco Flow" by Enya and not "sail away" LOL
in november 2000 my young wife and i was on board for our honey moon and trip to york via hull. it was a fantastic journey.
Brings back memories. Thank you very much for posting! :)
Thanks for the nice comment
Lovely video! Thank you!
Wonderful to see the Norland again. Your video brought back a lot of memories for me. I made many trips to Zebrugge on her, when visiting friends in Belgium. Thanks for sharing.
This is great thankyou for sharing this video. My dad was a steward on the Norland, and him and just one other person were the only two members of the crew that sailed both the maiden voyage and the final voyage before the ship was sold...
thanks to you i got to experience the first bit for myself (also the Pride of York and Norcape honked)
thanks you
That is a good video, i cant remember if i had been on it. Btw what happened to it?
fantastic thanks reminds us of working in there .
it doesnt matter now i understand thx, i was confused at frst but i know :)
i meant to ask, are youallowed in there and where abouts does it start do you have to go in where you usually go when you go on he boat but turn off somewhere else
Thank you, bad thing is i live near Preston but i will make sure i get there. Cant Beleive i didnt know that. And where does the path start, just so we dont drive around, or is it a car park, where is the cark park.
There is a path that is between the ship and the terminal and it leads right past the ship. It is called the Viking Way trail and you can leave your car in a small carpark nearby on the edge of the river and you will see the ship, then you can take a walk along the path over a steel bridge. You can also walk down to the lock gates and watch the Pride of York/Brugge pass through. It is really nice to go down there on a summers night and feel the buzz just before the ship leaves.
How did you get there, is there a ay i or did you ask ,or did you get a plane and parachute in hoping no one would notice i am onabout thefirst bit whre you are rigt next to it
wow cool video i love going on the newer boats phil
