Hi Dd Grace, welcome to the Indonesia GLADians family. First batch but definitely not the last to be inspired by the Buddha-Dhamma

Who are you to debate thousand years practice. if family members of the disease want to make offering, is their choice and beliefs. Why do temple need donations, practically you no different from people of offering? If you are doing great deeds and want to earn merits or karma or etc as yourself see deem fits to your pleasure and gain reputation, please do it in your own room. why need to have sermon session? to say the least, you are born in this world to do good deeds, you don't need to be monk and thinking you have learnt a few scriptures, you somebody. Thinks of your parents first before doing this kind of sermon....your talks is offending and hypocrites...
Dear munk, we have not created the anything in this universe, even ghost 👻 s why you differentiate between good 👍 god and 😞 🙈, be in present and reality 😜 ye Sir

I am a science person. To me all this talk is basically not true. Chinese people ,being very pragmatic would started this practice as a way to guide lost souls home to our ancestral homeland where we first became civilised at the Yellow River basin. The offerings of food and money is to facilitate the journey of these lost souls to their homelands. In Malaysia we light up street corners to show them the way . All religions has almost the same belief, the Muslims/Christians and Jews too believe in going 'home ' to Mesopotamia(Babylon)
rubbish in a robe is still rubbish
I have read that joss paper originally represented energy instead, wether it works or not perhaps should go try and test wther something follows home after stomping on some
The most important we must treats our parents kindly during their life after death we gave them loving kindness and do merits by transferences of merits
🙏🙏🙏Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu.
umat Buddha sekarang sok tau kayak umat Kristen, mulutnya suka mengkritis budaya orang.

Utter rubbish..
Superstition is the biggest failure of mankind, but too many people like to listen to lies and create false beliefs to pass on to others. This suffering world is like this. Only by cultivating this mind can we get rid of delusion and have correct faith. We must have wisdom to understand the reincarnation of consciousness. 🙏🙏🙏

I burned Heaven Money and Golds and other joss money 💰. I burn shark fin soup, birdnest, cake, ginseng, feast, mahjong table set, clothing, shoes, jewelry and other luxurious. It the love that counts, the honor and respects for the decreased love one, whether they received items or not. They will at least guarantee to receive our thought and gratitude as whenever we pray, they can see us from Heaven or whatever they go in the afterlife.
you assume they are born in good realms. what if they are in lower realms such as hells or hungry ghosts? would burning things help? why not dedicate good merits for them?
@grandomens296 All 15 Dimensions are Matrix in which the only way out are to return back to source. Earth is the lower realm, in which the majority of souls are reborn there because it is a reincarnation soul trap. To have a better incarnate must be reborn at least 7th dimensions where the Archons couldn't take control of that realm, but in fact, we are actually in all dimensions as only little percentage of our essences here on Earth.
@grandomens296 Besides, gold is universal and I was born without Karma and being born on Earth I vowed to take on my family karma so therefore I already doing such deeds for them. We are creators of our own Hell on Earth and so on deceived by the soul trap soul contracts and manifestation. As long as we here on Earth, we have higher self and lower self that guide us to determine our decision. I am not saying that afterlife of the decreases have a good life as they are being captured and zapped out of their wit majority of their memories wiped away. To avoid being capture best to not enter the fake tunnel of white light and have no fear for the afterlife is BS.
Don't burn worthless human materials. The wandering spirits only need food they are hungry all the time. Use the money to burn puja. You may learn tibetan smoke puja. They burn various combined fragrance food. 1. Assorted Biscuits crushed finely, 2. Milk powder (full cream nestle everyday) dilute with warm water in a pail (needed later spread little on the burn food combined) to add water based milk to get the smoke from the burning food. 3. Mix blended nuts a) black bean powder. b)cashew. c) black sesame. d) rice powder e) Taiwan economy fragrant wood powder (5kg). All mixed blended well. Start fire & let it burn properly (lots of smoke). Other simple method. 1. Taiwan wood powder. 2. Australian 100% sandalwood powder. 3. Tibetan grass powder mixes.....
The important is treat them well if their still a live, not treat well if already gone 😢

Since we are all sinners, does that mean everyone is destined to dwell in hell before reincarnation?
“All beings have performed both wholesome and unwholesome actions in the past. These actions (karma) influence our future experiences, including the realm into which we might be reborn. However, no one is destined for any particular realm. Through our choices and actions in this life, we can influence our future rebirths. The goal in Buddhism is to break free from the cycle of rebirth altogether by attaining Nibbana." It's important to note that Buddhism emphasises personal responsibility and the potential for all beings to attain enlightenment, rather than the idea of universal sinfulness or predetermined punishment.
The text ( Theosophical Glossary ) says the Ullambana Sutra is certainly a forgery,as it gives these rites on the authority of Sakyamuni Buddha
