I have torn sown and rebuilt many saws , but that was YEARS ago , my son inlaw gave me a G440 for Christmas. I think this is a test of my memory and cognitive abilities. Lmfao
It’s the generic chincom copy 52 or 58 open port zenoah. Its a good saw if the material they use is quality. Who knows.
Nice lil saw 😊❤
That's the zenoah clone version.. They port up nicely, perfer the 42cc ones, same as the current troybilt and black and decker, they are like a non strato 543xp
Nice work man good content. I got a brand new 460 im just going to tig a pipe together for it for now it's to new to tear down.
Hello, "NothingBut Chainsaws" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or ig or where?

I’m starting to really like the Macs. I never liked working on them but now after tinkering with a few I am realizing that they are pretty basic and lots of interchangeable parts across the models.
This offends me lol…….what’s up with the little homelite on the bench
I get saws that when I remove the starter cover and clutch cover the recoil and inside the cover are caked in oil soaked sawdust, saw with the fins, coil/ignition, and clutch/sprocket. I know many of the saws I've bought were NEVER cleaned. Laziness is the problem that plagues anything with a motor
Have you figured out whats wrong with the 10-10 yet .
@@wg4405 crank seals
Funtime sawrus
Gotta love the macs
Agreed 💯
❤❤❤❤
Well no comments , no one likes Mac's???? My first Pro Mac 10/10 started doing weird stuff while I was trying to do Cain clean up here on the Gulf Cost from Beryl and I figured it was crank seals . Well I ordered new seals and when I went to put them in after taking clutch off I found bearing on clutch side very loose but I went ahead and put seal in anyway ---- well seal didn't do the job Sooooo someday I will have to tear it down but I'm saw poor so I just broke out my Stihl Farm Boss 271 along with some other saw and kept going . Could of broke out my Pro Mac 60 or 70 but I didn't want to abuse them doing Cain clean up .
The saw I learned on, then became a saw tech in 1981. Still have a soft spot for 10-10s and 610s. Everybody laughs at me, but they are more than capable of cutting lots of wood. Still have one under the bench (no longer cut firewood, but still repairing saws at a shop,) Common issue- an air leak between the intake manifold and the cylinder. Runs all kind of wonky with it. Can never really adjust the mix and starts like crap. Not sure what you have done in the carb, but until the air leak is fixed, you will go crazy figuring it out. I now vacuum and pressure test almost everything. Fixes many running issues. The cure is new gaskets and check the intake block for warpage.
@STIHLTECH Oh I know the crank seal on clutch side is leaking . I can get it running and you can see gas spitting from the seal . I'm going to have to break it down and change the bearing . I know to about the leak your talking about . Thanks for the response .
Well said! Thank you! I Agree 👍
Anyone else notice the rat come through to check out the saw around 15:15! Good stuff
Thanks I try to build a good saw least best of my ability I'd say keep checking market place lathes pop up cheap all the time
Charles builds outstanding saws i have run a few of his saws and they last tune well.❤😊
Good job
love the message, i'm a husqvarna fan too and i have a 455 that might change your mind about the 455, 460's lol. keep up the good work!
@@krazy8ball those models have the same problems, chasing down air leaks.
The muffler mod like you did will give you almost 0.5 HP more. I seen a video of a guy putting the same saw on a dyno he made with a computer.
There are people all over that are miserable, and all they want is to spread it around. Enjoy your life, and those of us that know joy will enjoy it with you. Let the haters hate. Don't make no difference anyway.
I wish I had a friend like Brian he sounds super cool lol
Yes sir....I agree 👍......👍🤙

Didnt know what to comment but felt i should. I honestly love the community and wish people would kind've end the "this vs that" mentality for certain things (Production and product reviews are exempt as its our job to be critical BUT open about information for the community). We all try different things because we all are looking for our minds version of "the Chainsaw". I've been running an old stock Poulan 3700 (craftsman rebadge) and really been enjoying it. Its the right weight, runs a 24 inch bar well (so long as its sharp) and has a good balance of power and torque for my needs. Just got a 10-10 going and found it to be faster and a touch lighter than the more worn 3700, am i going to switch ... probably not, the 3700 is my go to saw! When the chips fly and firewood or a job is done well, everyone is happy. A campfire cut by a homelite, stihl, mcculloch etc etc, still makes everyone warm and cozy no matter who cut what log at which speed! Just found your channel, liked what i saw and am wishing you the best!
Newly subscribed. Do this for a living and wish I found you sooner
Thank you from a non youtube builder that gets tired of dumb asses
Don't dread over it. It's like a WNBA locker room conversation. 😂
@@OliverofAllTrades i hear ya non tree guy!
" Run your saw, not your mouth," AMEN!!!
Just ignore the negative comments and enjoy your day. I don't have a TH-cam channel but I do partake in trying to provide what I think are helpful tips from time to time. There are a couple of channels that will take some of the helpful tips down and claim TH-cam censorship, I know better! This type of activity tells me everything I need to know about those individuals.

Near 80 yrs old, chainsaws my whole life. Enjoy watchin you. You know what you're doin.. be confident of your skills an be like a bull in a china shop. Go with what you know and don't look back.. good luck..
ive almost quit more than once over the same crap...but ive learned to just delete the bad and share the dumb to my community page lol..im the same a$$hole in person you see in the video's lol!!
Sir your video is 100 percent my story since coming into the chainsaw hobby 8 or so years ago, the jealousy and pettiness of people hurts my heart and makes me want to sell everything and quit. I'm not a cutter or even that knowledgeable about saws, I enjoy collecting them and restoring them. I've been disrespected and chastised on groups for stating the truth. I've been wrong before and when I find out I'm wrong I make heartfelt amends to all, but I don't get that in return. There are so many great guys in this hobby, and a few people take the joy out of it
Dont quit! Who else is going to make pine scented potpourri? but i hear ya, reading forums for information can be jarring at times
I pay no attention to keyboard warriors

Is that a 1073/4 behind you? Or a p2x saw

I'm a mumbling idiot on youtube and in real life 🤪, but totally get what you are saying. Keyboard warriors drive me nuts, I love 90% of the community, most are really great people.. look forward to tazapalooza every year, because it's good fun and no one takes themselves too seriously
Hey man what model full wrap did you use to fit the 028? I want to do that to mine 😊
