I hate this song and this guy. Every time I hear this song, I want to run and hide from the conviction of God. But the Holy Spirit brings me to the cross and reminds me of what I am called to be. I want to be like Jesus.

I often wonder if who I imagine Jesus to be interferes with who He really is. This song addresses that problem. I find it to be therapeutic...healing.

Blessings and thanks for sharing. Had the chance to worship with Todd and about one thousand men in Redmond, Oregon one day. Simply said, it was wonderful and awesome as we worshiped our Lord Jesus.

I think you missed it. Todd sings "...the blood and dirt on HIS feet would stain the carpet..." He means that some churches may turn away someone based on what they look like or if they don't "fit" in. The whole song is about Jesus and portraying Him as someone we might not recognize in today's "comfort filled" times. We have taken Christianity for granted and lowered it to something we do on Sunday to check it off the list.
