Quello è il San Giovanni Battista del Ducato di Toscana prodotto dalla De Agostini.
San Giovanni Battista, galeone Mediceo edizione De Agostini. Le bandiere sono del Ducato Medici di Toscana.
this is not a spanish gallion,This is a portuguese galleon São João Baptista, better known by the nickname "Botafogo" was in its time the most powerful warship in the world. Built in 1534, it had a displacement of about 1000 tons and was armed with 366 bronze fireheads, therefore having tremendous firepower. For this reason he became known as "Botafogo".
Magnifico!

This is an Athenian bireme of c.480-470 BC. One that might have sailed during the Salamis naval battle. NOT A TRIREME!!!
Splendid work!
Very nice model! I am into maritime archaeology, reconstructing ancient ships. If you want to make your ship even more realistic, you could do what the old Greeks did with each of their ships: adding caustic paint to the hull surface. Causting paint was based on wax, and sealed the lumber from the water. You can use enamel paint. Typical colors were black (tar) for the underwater hull (sometimes white), and for the hull above water turquoise, aquamarine, Greek blue, sand brown, or even siena red. The lower hull section, just above the water line, could even have a pattern in the shape of waves. The sails were plain white or cream, never red-white striped like the Viking sails centuries later. But it was possible that some sails contained a decorative painting.
Okeefenokee the Seventeenth how would you reproduce the paint?
Great build
This model was upscaled to 1/50 from plans included with the Dusek Greek Trireme 1/72 model kit..
Where did you find the plans pls?
Εξαιρετικο φίλε ! Θυμάσαι ποια χρώματα έχεις χρησιμοποιήσει ?
what music is this?
Any clue for plans please? Wanna make on a laser cutter and I actually found a workshop to make it.
NO!!!!!!!
can I get plans for this?? Please!
Why dolphin?? You could have used minotaur
I am inspired by the music to replicate this model. Lol. Not in this great detail ofc. But something similar.
Excelente !!
Can I get the plans for this? That'd be amazing.
My friend this is not from 1698, but from the middle of 16teen century, i would say about 1570/80s..honstly i do know what im saying ;) anyway very good job, all the best.
Agreed, mid 16th to early 17th centuries, era of the Armada to the Mayflower.
