Nice. I know a lot of ppl dislike the magwell adapter. I think an AK taking AR magazines supersedes the look. Very rare. Matching mag availability and aK robustness (chef's kiss). I have the same grip on my m85. very comfy and gripy
How much length does this brace add to the NAK9 overall length when it's folded?
Beautiful gun but it cringes me when you slide it across the table like that you have to keep touching it sliding in across the table marring up her finish

The brace your trying to install is the wrong brace for what you are trying to do it is ment for a 1913 picetenny rail mount not a single bolt
I know what your talking about they have those but this one isn’t one Bonesteel arms sent the right bolt that specific to the nak9
Hey did Bonesteel label what size and length that bolt/nut is? Seems I can just go to the hardware store and get something rather than paying for shipping on a $5 part.
It was a 1/4 inch bolt by 1” plus nut and lock washer what I got from Home Depot if you don’t want to wait for them to send it I don’t think they charged me anything from Bonesteel they just send me a longer bolt when I told them the issue
What kind of sling is that where did you get it?

Are you a left handed shooter? The reason I ask is because I’m left handed and I’m not sure wether to order a left side folding brace or a right side folding brace.
I shoot right handed I would order which ever one doesn’t get in the way of anything
Nice job but I hate shit that needs all kinds of aftermarket extra work. Like grinding and refitting- Should fit from the factory or its something I won't buy.
They have the right bolts to do it drop in hassle free and they send it to me I was just impatient and I’m always doing something I love working and messing with guns

Curious as what part you've tried and haven't fit.. I'm finding most AK stuff works but not all. Also curious if you've had any trouble with drum mags?
Don’t like drum mags look cool but not practical so I stay away from them I’ve had trouble with hand guards pistol grips muzzle breaks not major issues some you have to tweak and work to get on some just won’t fit completely I’ve had ak47s where the barrels are milled to reduce weight and you can’t put on Aluminum quad rails that normally would clamp on to a standard barrel
How were you able to get the sling swivel off?
It has a slot to fit a wrench
Very cool! I added optics, flash suppressor, brace and binary trigger to mine. The binary trigger selector means I can't do the bolt catch mod you did, which I REALLY like. Found your video while looking for options to mount the magpul foregrip. Most of the installs I've seen look like they trim the magwell part but I don't like that idea, so I'm going to do what you did. Thanks for making/posting this video!
I bought me a Lucchese caimán belt for $339 + tax and was surprised to see they are made of smaller cuts of gator skin glued on. I was expecting no cut lines in belt.

Love the color on the handguard . Bought my for 1328 from las Vegas private owner he claimed never been shot and it came with a 1 40rds 2 30rds mags.

I have the Century Arms NAK9 and just got my Bonesteel. Great work but bolt too short. I am asking for a new bolt as well.
Yeah they send me my new bolt they later send me another one with a stainless sleeve very happy with bone steel arms I was trying to order another brace but they are not taking orders I can imagine how busy they are over there

You should remove the sling clips and use paracord to attach the sling to the rifle is quieter.

Bad ass ! How far apart are the holes on the front wood furniture and what paint did you use
The holes were a little tricky getting them to look uniform but I pretty much eye balled everything I used a measuring tape the kind you use for Tailoring clothes I put some lines down best to do with pencil then a small battery drill I sanded and cleaned it with paint thinner I use a black stain polyurethane mix wish had just went with normal stain to see the wood better then polyurethane separately it came out ok

I used a digital caliper a burr bit on a pencil grinder and some small hand files I had to carefully take material off on a section of the safety that all ready had a little dip in it to begin with I could have pulled the charging handle further back but didn’t because the the section of the safety I used I could already catch my charging handle on it with out doing anything to it that’s what gave me the idea
You have to remove enough material to where you can put your gun on safety with the charge handle in it the dimple on the safety has clear the receiver with the charging handle inside of it
Did you receive the new bolt, and how long dod it take? I’ve got same issue with mine being too short
3 to 4 weeks but I had already rigged something up by then had it on solid just swapped it out when it got there I almost started to leave it alone
Purchase the stormwerk mag adapter. If it’s a GEN one nak-nine try to get that badelementco’s curve mags

Yeah it’s a gen 2 like mine. But definitely purchase a stormwerk mag adapter. And FAB Defense handguards are legit
Where was it ordered?
Take your bolt to home depot, and ask for a longer length in that thred pitch
Make sure you get a grade 5 or 8 bolt, less stretching.
Im a little disappointed with the bonesteel brace. I ordered a brace from cnc warrior and it squared up with both my draco and zpap85 perfect. That brace you have looks a little oversized on your gun. Im having that same issue.
It’s actually small any smaller would be awkward I think
@@Cincothakid well I meant to say it looks oversized on the rear trunnion. I think it should be squared off and down to spec.

Yeah. I ordered mine back in may and I just now received it, so orders are starting to get out. Im a little disappointed though. My brace is slightly too big. Im trying contact them to see what they can do for me.
