Hi, so internships for psychology UoB don't do. I'm not sure if they have connections for internships for other sources. However, the Integrated Masters (MSci) in Psychology and Psychological Practice gives you a placement in your 4th year (that's the degree course I did). The placement was 8 months and they have different placements. Mine was in forensic secure psychiatric hospitals. My friend's was with Forward Thinking Birmingham working with autistic kids. Another friend had her placement working in the field of eating disorders. The unfortunate thing though is that MSci is extremely competitive and there was only 15 in my cohort. 1 person was doing the course from first year (applying and getting accepted from A-level time), then 75 people applied to transfer from the BSc (including me) in our third year. Only 14 of us were successful in transferring over. Other than the MSci, UoB does not offer placement for psychology for undergraduate or postgraduate, unless you are doing the Clinical or Forensic doctorate. To pass the course, you need to get 40% or higher, of which, if you've managed to get into UoB already, achieving that 40% should be ok. However, if you wanted to score much higher than that, then it does need a lot of work. I try very hard and achieve 2:1s in my exams and assignments - hope this helps a bit :))

this is for BSc but if you do MSci I'm pretty sure you do the same it's just the fourth year that is different. Only the MSci offers a placement, I am hoping to do integrate onto the MSci this year :)

@@laurencarterYT Thank you for the reply! I'm about to send off my UCAS today and am conflicted on which one to apply for. If you do the BSc you can integrate onto MSci? Do you do this in your final year or earlier on? And is it based off of UNI performance or your A-levels?

@@xMoolit yep you can integrate to the MSci in 3rd year and it’s based on your uni performance and other experience you gain, you write a personal statement kind of like how you did for your UCAS

i think they’re all pretty much just as safe as each other, each has their own security and although entry to the grounds is pretty much accessible to anyone, no one can get into flats without a key/fob/card (varies depending on the accommodation) - sorry if this doesn’t help much

ooo that’s a good idea!! campus is absolutely huge so i don’t think i’d be able to cover absolutely everything but i could definitely do my favourite spots and the main campus in general! i’ll ask on instagram to see if anyone else is interested in this type of vid! thank you for the suggestion! :)

ah amazing! hii! there will be a new psychology groupchat made for your cohort more towards September time - the one that i am in is just for my cohort of second year undergrads of 2020-2021 with that said if you join the facebook pages then you will be able to find out when your cohort's groupchat is made :) - i hope this helps and hopefully i will see you in September !

hi! it's a good school in rankings of the UK, they have some organisation issues, but they're are working on it and I think it is largely down to the shift to online learning but as I said they're definitely getting used to that and getting better at it the lecturers are all specialised in different areas so it's really interesting to see their own personal research and projects they're working on as well as being able to be taught by them as you can tell they definitely know the topic inside and out i hope this helps - if you have any other questions I'm happy to answer as best as I can, I'm in second year so I don't know too much about the MSc course specifically but i can try my best :)

i love it, i can’t tell a difference between your classic aerosol in terms of effectiveness and plus the scents are amazingggg so much better than other deodorants i’ve had - i definitely recommend - i could give you a code for a free case if you decide to go for it :)

ah amazing, thank you for watching! Some lecturers are better than others when it comes to delivering teaching online but I guess it's one of those things where they've never had to do it before and a lot of the lecturers thrive when interacting with students in the lecture halls. sometimes the organisation can be in a pickle but I feel as though by September they will have any crinkles ironed out. Some teaching by September may also end up being back in person for workshops and computer practicals for example where it's small groups :) hope this helps
