Great video.
Great video, brother. Esp towards the end. Thanks again. 🙂
I did this work in TX on the "graveyard" shift for TEN years. 9pm to 5am. Lots of work as you show and we were also always short of people. So I had to merchandise and drive the lift. Good exercise. Great video. Thanks.
Mine cranks but won't start all of a sudden. What would you check? Same stuff?
@@patrickgregory7920 yes I won’t check the things I mentioned in this video first. Then from there it could be a number of other things that it could be.
Know u from Florida twin lmao
nice vid man! How did you started your liquidation business
Cute fooz accent
How is the merchandising manager? Do they spend much time going over career paths and going over performance with the team?
Did you ever get the sleeper done ?
It has to do with your route
50th Like 😎👌🏾
I work at the Sam's club in Latham ny and y'all's are definitely different
❤
I just got the job for this same position, thank you for your content. I like to be prepared for what I’m going to do. I hate to go anywhere blindly. Much respect!
You made that tall wooden box WAY harder than it had to be. All you had to do was make sure first of all ya freight was all the way on your pallet forks, and then turn your pallet jack to the side on the lift gate
Damn that was a hot ass mess unloading but ….you did ya best
Interviewing at my local Sams for this very position on friday, for morning shift. Thanks for the glimpse at the job.
@@SonoraSlinger you’re welcome and good luck with your interview.
Appreciate you champ 🏆 I'm newbie to box truck , my truck ran like champ 8 months ago with new batteries now I drained old fuel recharged new batteries didn't screw down one my positives all way it got very hot while cranking so because ur video I will check fuse tomarow thanks .
Great video bro. I had my box truck company for 6 months under my own authority, dispatch and drove my self. did all the paper work. I wana get back in the business But i wana hire a driver this time around cause I just had a. child. Do you recommend me leasing on with another company or should I go under my own authority again? I wana be more hands off this time around. I just get kidna nervous of leaving my business in other peoples hands. I would appreciate your advice bro
Wow your job lets you make videos. WOW.

Hey bro what's the part number
Brings back memories when I use to operate forklifts. Crowns are the best trucks! Great video.
Your video is really helping. Thanks for sharing your daily routine. Stay strong 💪

85 gallon fuel tank is OK, 100 gallon is better considering you never want to run with less than 20 gallons in the tank. You're going to wish you had a bigger def tank than that little 6 gallon size. The 12 gallon def tank is definitely a better option.
what time you start?

Bet I have my interview tomorrow
Great 👍🏻
Excellent video 👍 very informative
Good video!!
Which forklift licenses you need
Basic as hell. I went online, paid $60 and spent a couple hours watching videos and taking tests. If you don't pass, you can take it over and over until you do. It's that simple.
This was insane
Does Sam’s club drug test for forklift merchandising ?
@@bzo757 no they’ll let anybody get on one
@@LifeJourneys_TH-cam thanks bro I have an interview today .. great videos by the way 🫡🫡
@@bzo757 good luck and don’t over think it. Trust me it’s easier than it looks.
lots of good info here. Ive been watching a lot of these on cargo vans and box trucks as I might be considering getting into this, and this was very helpful. thanks.
Backup alarms on a dockstocker going forward and backwards? No thanks. Tell them to get lights instead of making their operators deaf.
Ok, I have a few points for you that will disput what you said, since I have a valid opinion, and I work in a warehouse with these safety mechanisms. First off, the "alarm" or the "beeping" that goes off when going forwards and backwards is for safety. Its so that other people that are not the forklift drivers can hear that the forklift is heading their direction. Second of all, it HAS to be as loud as you are led to believe it is (which is nowhere near deafening), because it is within a warehouse, that is quite big, and where the aisles can be quite long. Again, to ensure the safety of others that are working within the warehouse. Lights do not do much at all, especially going around blind corners, which Sams club and Costco both have. We are not defeaned by the beeping, and if we were, we have ear plugs, but again, due to safety reasons, especially since operating a 9 THOUSAND pound machine, it would be dangerous to wear those earplugs. Simply speaking, it is a job, and if you cannot do your job, and if something as little as beeping will deafen you, you are not fit to work within the warehouse industry.
@@cedricwu9167 I don't have time to write a book here, but I started in warehouses when I was 18 yrs old. I'm 53 now, so I've seen a lot. No offence, but you sound young by the way you write. Are you in your early twenties? I've worked in buildings with machines with backup alarms that were not safe at all. It's all about the operator and a safety culture that's enforced. My company now has about 80 pieces of MHE in a 540,000 sq ft facility and only TWO have backup alarms (and we were given them from another facility so we can't remove the alarms as they are stock equipment), and it's the safest building I've ever worked in. You do not need them. Come talk to me if you are still working there in your 50s and maybe you'll change my mind. Oh, and I choose to wear earplugs when I drive one of those two machines, and that doesn't make it unsafe either. I'm not trying to be a dick, but trust me, you're hearing doesn't last forever. I was obviously exaggerating about going deaf, but loud noise over time can give you tinnitus, which I have (also from rock concerts when I was younger). Alarms on machines where you have full visibility in one direction are not needed. Too much noise is just ignored and perceived as background noise, that's why those lights on the floor were introduced (as well as to reduce operator fatigue). Guess I wrote a bit of a book after all, as I'm pretty passionate about this. Warehouse jobs are generally uneducated, low skill work, and I hate to say it, but we are treated as much, so it's important to advocate for yourself.
@@Acheron.426you absolutely cannot depend on a “safety culture” as every single warehouse in the world all have different cultures, hell even different departments within those warehouses have different cultures. Back up alarms again are one of those safety issues that if you didn’t have, there would be more injuries. I can understand where you are coming from, but to me, it is better to have those alarms than just a red light that you may not see in time, as most of the times, people are not staring at the ground while walking. Within my warehouse, it is common knowledge that you hear a forklift, you give way to it, and one of those hearing aids is the alarm. When there is a forklift approaching you from behind, would you immediately look down to see where it’s coming from, as you suppose the red lights would work like? Sure, it can be read as background noise, but to most new people who has just gotten hired, it’s so much safer to have the alarms. Costco and Sam’s constantly are hiring, so removing those alarms makes it that much unsafe, which relates back to the culture, in which new people don’t even know about. Back up alarms are there for a reason, if it was useless, what would the point be? If companies knew that, then wouldn’t they just get redundant?
I work at sams currently and I've been training to drive this thing. but it seems that for some reason they are gatekeeping certificates to drive it. I'm ready to drive but they keep telling everyone "were busy so we can't certify right now" but they really need drivers.
It’s the same at our store. They’re just trying to avoid from paying drivers please don’t let them finesse you. Remember it pays an additional $2
@@LifeJourneys_TH-cam I’ll remember that 👀
You still driving box truck ?Stay blessed
No I’m no longer on the road. Thank you stay blessed as well
Wrong operation
What is that relay called my brother
If your making 40k a week but having truck maintenance problems why not just rent trucks
is this the same as the merchandise and stocking position?
Yes but without being on the forklift.
It's very true they expect you to work like a beast doing 20+ pallets lifting heavy products and then throwing you into other projects when other people don't show up....I worked at Sams Club For 5 years and they recently let me go(fired) over small trivia stuff like not working fast, sometimes late and arguing with management about unfair workloads.. This company can do more for it's employee's but they treat you like a dime a dozen and treat your work like cheap china labor easily replaceable of you get on their bad sides...Your not allowed to have an opinion or express it in public your expected to show up for work happy and smiling and say how can i help you to people who don't give a F*ck...I feel your pain my man and i can relate!
Do brokers request air suspension over leaf spring???
No there’s no preference.
I’m going into my first box truck soon with no training so I appreciate your break down
How much do sams club pay tho?
@@Mike420X I’m at $17.51
@@LifeJourneys_TH-cam17.51 kinda low . If you don't mind me ask what state your in ??
It’s ridiculous how we are getting paid. But I stay in Alabama.
Too close to fire door. Pallet jacks need to be lowerd if not in use, and 10 feet for ten feet up. Zone of safety, friends. And no stacks over 3 pallets.
@@RedWhiBlu sounds good hopefully corporate can help fix some of these issues because we’re going to go crazy over here with how much freight they’re forcing on us.
Trust me, it ain’t just you guys, corporate, and the purchasers went a little overboard after YBM, and every club is jam packed right now.
Your backroom is a mess! 😂
