How To Use And Clean Your Shark Vacuum
มุมมอง 5675 ปีที่แล้ว
This a short video to show you how to properly clean your vacuum and how to utilize the attachments to the fullest when cleaning.
This house is like a 90s time capsule, I love it
Many things wrong here and she wasn't thorough especially with the toilet. The fluffy cover should have been removed and the whole toilet sprayed and wiped on the outside and scrubbed on the inside. Who the heck only wipes part of a mirror lol. She also was slow and very airy fairy. I would not hire someone who worked like this. She has not been taught proper techniques. I found it frustrating to watch.
21:34...spray that cleaning liquid all over the fruit and salt and pepper shaker.
Where the gloves at it’s important to wear gloves in your hands before cleaning 👀🙋🏽♀️
Watching this while I prepare to clean 2500 sq ft home!! 😅
please do a better job than she did!
that microwave tray was not clean when she put it back.
also clean front and sides of toilet tank not just the top and front.
take the plug out of the sink and wash thoroughly in case there is stuck on hair or soap scum. same with bathtub if plug is removable.
You are not using colour coded cloths, same cloths everywhere???
Thank you for demonstrating this!
Well, this is not washing the toilet, the pad should be removed, the pad on the seat should be washed, and this is smearing dirt
Why dont she hve on gloves
Thanks!!
Wow, many critics and not enough realize that this is training a so the company probably has a booklet to give the pure details plus on the job instruction. The posting is a good example of cleaning and mind you it is a private residence and not an office building which either would need to be sanitized maybe differently. They do not go into specifics as to what kinds of cloths or cleaners are used so there is much more probably that the inter training provides. Plus the home is extremely clean. I would believe the use of heavy gloves and different methods would be essential if the home were riddled with grime, germs and other. All in all I being just a lay person learned alot about how to do a basic cleaning which is what this example is. Thanks.
This is so relaxing
Nice video. Thank you. The home was very clean to start with imho.
It's a training video... geez
microwave tray still had stuck-on food, WOW! this maid is not cleaning properly at all
they say don;t block the garage doors and what does she do? she blocks the garage door, lol
I guess I’m missing something of I’ve been cleaning incorrectly for some years but I don’t get the bit about spot cleaning bathroom 😅mirror or cabinets……I clean entire mirror & all of cabinets. And honestly I didn’t understand the cleaning toilet….didn’t seem like it was really cleaning it….maybe I missed something….and it looked like the same rag was used on just about everything and no cleaning liquids? I heard her say something about “basic cleaning”…..just didn’t seem like really cleaning much. I did see where maybe using a different rag in kitchen. I guess I was brought up cleaning the “military way”……and I did see where she did use a spray liquid some in kitchen. As I was growing up when my dad said clean he meant clean….and he said it with a smile and kindness…..but clean you shall do! She did a good job…guess I was just looking at the different ways of cleaning.
ikr mirrors are the easiest and most satisfying to clean of all! And wiping down front of cabinets is no trouble.
@ I thought so…
What a great video! How many rags are taken in initially to clean with?
Im a house cleaner i have 15 years of experience sincerely i dont like the way this girl clean no gloves, didn't vacum the bathroom floors using the same towels 🤮🤮 for bath and kitchen, very slow etz. Etz.. but i cheer her for doing this job cuz is not easy is a very heavy job and some ppl dont get paid right i remember when i 1st start i use to get pay $60 for a 3 floor house and i have to clean the whole house right know i do a 3 floor house for $130 and i still think that is not enough but the state where i leave wich is georgia there is alot of competence so clients dont really want to pay enough they dont even leave us tips but oh well i still love my job especially when i do very old ppl house i get to hear their stories and i get in so much love with them theres client who become part of family and thats what i love the most
yes ikr she was so slow and not thorough at all, it's frustrating to watch
Name of song please
I need the background music it’s so relaxing
No gloves?????
ok. I see a lot of negative comments and I don't want to add to them but what's up with the shoes? Cleaning with or without them? Stick with one 😆
Regarding gloves. They suck. I hate them. They reduce the quality of the clean. I carry hand sanitizer in my cleaning caddy and use a boatload of it rather than changing out gloves all day. I also carry gloves, but I only use them when I have cuts on my hands.
yes it's fine to do that and on maintenance cleans you're not using harsh chemicals anyway, just mild all purpose sprays
Take the "Sterilite" sticker off of your cleaning caddy. Wear separate housekeeping shoes, leave your outside shoes by the front entrance on a clean rag (Mr. Siga is very effective and affordable, though not true microfiber). Don't leave lights on or blinds open in any room you are not cleaning unless the client has asked for that. Use a 360 Swiffer Duster. Use a clean microfiber cloth to dust canvas on wall art rather than the dirty Swiffer Duster. Don't halfass blinds. A non scratch or melamine sponge is better than a brush for scrubbing and lighter in the caddy. Don't rinse the shower; wipe it down. Never put your cleaning caddy on the counter. Spot clean mirror as shown and/or with 0000 steel wool (never get the steel wool wet). Wipe the mirror from top to bottom with a clean microfiber rag. Spray the rag, not the counter. Clean toilet seat first. When cleaning the toilet base, clean the entire surrounding floor also with a rag to save time when vacuuming and mopping. Wipe off rim and polish handle after final flush. Don't touch the client's toilet paper with your gross hands. Vacuum bathmats with attachment. Clean lamps while they're off to avoid burning dust or duster on the bulb. Use a lint roller on lampshades and fabric picture frame stands. Use a clean microfiber cloth to dust TV screens. Spot clean with TV cleaner. Vacuum couch pillows with attachment (separate from rug and mat attachment). Polish alarm clock faces with dry microfiber cloth. Dust hood range with clean microfiber cloth. Spray glass microwave plate with cleaner and turn on microwave for 30 seconds if dirty (don't burn yourself on hot plate). Always clean oven glass with 0000 steel wool or The Pink Stuff, same with glass stove top. Never use a razor blade. Remove knives to dust and spot clean knife block. Remove K-cups to dust holder. Use a paper towel to handle fruits and vegetables on kitchen counter. Rinse rags at home, use fresh rags as rags get dirty. Use Dawn, baking soda and cold water in garbage disposal. Clean the underside of the splash guard. Edge vac. Mop by spraying floors with water only (use a gallon pressure sprayer) and cleaning with microfiber cloths that are replaced often. Clean the front entrance threshold on your way out. Move very fast. Invest $500 a month into a Roth IRA. Live below your means. Retire early. Good luck out there fellow housekeepers, and thanks to the content creator for producing this guide!
didn't pull plug out of the sink to clean off hair, soap scum etc.
she locked her keys in the trunk
U Just Blocked The Garage Door😎 And Wearing Shoes Too 😂
that microwave tray was not clean, i saw something still on it and didnt even touch the side of the toaster.
Thank you for this video:)
I’m always weird about terry cloth towels, they’re great as far as being absorbent but they are not smooth clean with.I find microfiber is so much more efficient-also keeping your microfiber towel folded properly so you can flip it as you clean to always have a clean surface to work with. I wouldn’t suggest spraying cleaners over open container such as salt and pepper and the food that was on the island. Always clean off the areas you’re going to clean including the kitchen sink before you clean it. I would also suggest wearing gloves. Keeping felt around the edges of your tools(you can pick up rolls of felt at Walmart and a cheap hot glue gun.(The glue peels off anything when you need it too) such as your vacuum/mop anything that could knock up against a customers trim. Don’t forget to clean off the light switches. it’s all about the details definitely a little lot of retraining needs to be done. But if that’s all you expect from your house keepers I guess it would be an easy gig
i wouldnt hire someone to just spot clean/ youre trained usually to clean top to bottom left to right should start with kitchen first
The best way to clean your own home is you and only you. Once in a month you start from the morning and at the end of the day you have a sparkling spotless house. Free of charge and proud for your good job.
Hardly free of charge. You will likely pay for electricity and chemicals. It is definitely for more satisfying to do it yourself though.
She is very half ass.. to me this reminds me of those rooms that look clean but actually aren't clean if I'm paying for a cleaning service I want u to clean the whole mirror and dust the entire shades not just the top half etc.. she doesn't clean well
Honestly I clean my home better then this 3x weekly.. why wouldn't u clean the entire mirror even?
it's so easy to wipe down mirrors daily
Sooo much wrong 😑
It's like a game. Seeing how many things she does wrong and how many things are unsanitary
I don't want fleas coming into my place
She did not clean that toilet right😂
That swifter gliding seamlessly across that stove hood 😂
yeah, noticed that too, no grease, lol
I see so many cringe-worthy moments here. Not sanitizing the toilet handle (just think... the hands that touch this handle have most likely germs) light switches and door knob. Shake bath rugs thoroughly outside. Not cleaning the bath floors. Sloppy cleaning work around the toilet. Clean the whole mirror. And please mop floors. The cleaning rags are too thick (folded too many times). There is no way you can get into corners etc when the rag is folded like that. That is only one room. I could go on and on. And just a suggestion if you find that dust settles on furniture too soon after cleaning it might be because your vacuum is not very efficient at filtering dust particles. I suggest vacuuming first and dusting (with a really good micro fiber cloth) last. That's the way we were taught to do it and it really helps with keeping surfaces dust-free longer.
ikr the real training is in spotting all the things she did wrong! Spot cleaning the mirror is ridiculous. Yes I've always found that no matter how good your machine, vacuuming can create more dust so you should do it first before dusting. It's mopping that is done last.
I use paper towels for toilets .. ! Throw away .. lol
they should use melaeuca products
great
This is the worst training video I have ever seen. Supposedly you are using the Jeff Campbell method of speed cleaning, that's evident by how you set up your apron, but my word, you missed so much!!! That shower was the worst clean I've ever seen. You missed all the chrome around the sides, you put the shampoo on a dirty floor, I could just go on and on. The first step in cleaning the bathroom should have been vacuuming up any loose hair. Saves a ton of time. Cleaning the toilet, you didn't clean the handle or the tank, just the lid of the tank. You didn't clean the hinges, you didn't clean the toilet lid, you only cleaned HALF of the actual toilet seat. This was AWFUL. smh I don't know how you stay in business.
Where is their identification??? They should have a badge or be wearing a uniform.
Nice video, I've been doing this 26 years full time. I do not wear shoes but do wear socks. Never wore gloves, just wash my hands good between areas....we are using cleaning products
This should be title How not to clean a clients home. I like to see a nice crisp uniform that way all maids look the same and the company looks professional. I would have thought not wearing shoes would be a health hazard, as the maid could drop anything on her toes. Not very productive or hygienic. The maid is going from one place to the other. Start to the left of the entry door, and clean top to bottom, left to right and work your way around. That way nothing is missed and your not crossing your path. I hate companies that only spot clean, when the customer is paying for a thorough clean. This maid is contaminating each room I would never use this company. It is important not to contaminate cloths, therefore every room should have a colour coded cloth for each purpose, in this video the maid is using the same colour cloth for the living room and bedroom that was used in the bathroom and the same colour cloth used to clean a toilet was used to clean the water dispenser, worktops and stove top, this can easily cause contamination if the maid grabbed the wrong cloth. Again she used the same brush used in the shower that was used around the oven. I use Red for toilets, Pink for the rest of the bathroom or basins etc., Yellow for kitchens, Green for living rooms and Blue for mirrors and glass etc.
When cleaning a bathroom double disposable glove 🧤 In the UK it’s red cloths for bathrooms. Elsewhere it’s single gloves and blue cloths except for the kitchen where you use green.
Very helpful. Thank you for posting 💓
