In October 2015, I did a big chop after realizing I had heat damage that incurred during the transition. My hair looked just like yours the next day. I washed it out the very next night and wore a bun to church on Sunday. I thought it was just my hair but glad to see it is not just me.
I am so glad to see your review. My hair flaked with it as well. Mo told me to try it by itself which it still flaked. I absolutely love the way my curls look but I can’t do the flakes either.
I watch her videos faithfully which is partly why I tried it on it's own. I ended up washing my hair a few days later and did a wash and go with just this gel on nearly soaking wet hair and tried not to use too much and still got flaking, not nearly as much as the curlformers though.
Sorry about the flaking. The curl definition looks great. Love the style you decided on.

I think it'd depend on what leave in or moisturizer you use underneath. I wouldn't use anything too heavy.
Any strong hold gels without unnatural ingredients. Like parabens sulfates alcohols etc
Curlsmith In Shower Style Fixer is a great option!

Have you been using the hair serum till now ?
I have not for about 2 years. Last I checked it's $50 for the 2oz bottle and that's a bit rich for my blood.

I love sauce deep moisturizer.. have you used their shampoos ? I’m currently looking for a great shampoo & Pre poo
I have not. Currently I'm loving Curlsmith cleansers. They can be expensive however I've been getting their products out of Marshall's so that helps. I used to use Shea Moisture cleansers, but I'm not sure how they perform now but that may be a good place to start. I stop because I started exploring other brands.

Hello, I need help with choosing a product for my natural hair b/c after I cut my hair . I have noticed that my hair has 4 different hair patterns 😢
Hey! I would probably start by identifying the needs of each pattern (if one or two needs more moisture, hold, etc) and try products that cater to the majority of the hair. I have multiple textures but they need pretty much the same care, but I notice sometimes just changing the technique up helps with uniformity, especially with wash and goes. Example, I have to spend more time defining the back and in smaller sections vs. the middle and front of my hair I can do quicker with larger sections.
