Watching this knowing damn well im doing everything i can to keep astarion from ascending in my current playthrough, trying my hardest to end the game with Gale and Astarion in a healthy relationship and the Absolute defeated 😭

This would be so delicious (in my sick twisted mind) if you have Karlach change into a mind flayer and then go stabby stab. Who needs her at that point? She served her purpose for Gale to become the Absolute alongside his Vampire Ascendant lover (wouldn’t Astarion be his Master, at that point?).

Gale Dekarios, god of Ambition joins their ranks and can gain strength and dominance over the mortal realms through feeding on the prayers of those as ambitious as he is. Gale as a god makes more since for longevity and quality of life.

This is probably by far the most badass one of the origin characters i have seen (only Wyll and Astarion) Gale this kind gentleman of a character falling for his greed of power yet again and this time it has a hold on him he truly befame karsus successor

Did you by any chance manage to trigger any companion reactions apart from Lae'zel? I managed to get her and Wyll to react to the visit but nobody else.

Great line delivery this scene. The defeated air in Tara saying "you're going to kill me" always gets me. It's shattering to hear it from someone who wants nothing but the best for you.

Oh Astarion, encouraging Gale's worst tendencies, but being so honestly supportive and admiring about it. Like... it's the worst thing a man riddled with self-doubt and always feeling inadequate in front of his goddess could face, because it would be so damn tempting to keep indulging Astarion just to hear more praise.

but my only question with this ending is how does he end up getting rid of the netherese orb. Unlikely that mystra will allow it to feed on the weave now that he is evil.

Just curious I noticed Astarion is still aware and isn't controlled like the others, is this new to patch 6? Cuz when I did an evil ending a few patches ago I noticed that even my Tav's romanced companion still had the purple eyes and was controlled. Maybe its something they changed or I'm just tripping lol, either way its a nice touch
