30:05 the thing is Mother Gothel base her action around gaslighting/manipulation. Why didn't she dragged Rapunzel home when she first find her with Flynn? Bc that's what a gashliter does (even in relationship, they get their partner to isolate themself from family friends etc by showing that the rest of the world is wrong), so she can later tell Rapunzel "I told you so, you didn't listen". Back to the 2 brothers, they (think) they got rapunzel out of the deal. Mother Gothel just didn't tell them that she would interfere and not get the girl, but she knew that they could overpower Flynn and get Rapunzel alone. So she again just gaslight the two brothers into thinking they just would get the girl

Ah this is KILLING me... FROM 19:30 on I keep crying over the story. AGAIN. I first caught this at a child's bday party, it was just starting in the suddenly empty living room as a game started outside, and I was sucked in entirely. I came back to reality sitting on their couch with tears running down my face unable to speak. Thank goodness everyone was still outside as I felt embarrassed. I'm the calm practical one who rarely cries. Less than 2 minutes later my god daughter came in, took one look at my face, turned to the TV running credits, then walked over and hugged me while saying "Oh, you watched Coco didn't you?" Yeah, I did.

I love Moana's development, but Maui's personal growth was amazing. From being such a vain, self-absorbed, borderline narcissistic demigod to becoming a kind-hearted and loving friend and mentor is awesome, plus hearing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson sing is pretty damn badass. I love how they cast Nicole Scherzinger (lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls) as Moana's mother.
