In this episode we`re making our way from the Spanish/Portuguese border near Verín to the northern Spanish city of León in the region of Castille & Leon.

We're hitting the road early at 5:50am to make the way back from Porto, Portugal to Geneva, Switzerland in 1 single day, which is about 17 hours drive and 1800km (1120mi). In the first episode of this new series, we're driving from Porto, Portugal to the Spanish border at Verín via the A3, A7 and A24 highways, connecting to the Spanish A75. Today we're arriving in Porto, Portugal's second largest city, known worldwide for it's wine making. After making a decent amount of highway kilometers on the A1, we'll be driving through the streets of Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto, reaching Porto's old city centre.

Today we're leaving Portugal's capital of Lisbon behind, and making our way on the A1 highway towards Porto, getting about halfway, to Leiria. Enjoy the ride!

In this short drive we're starting out near Setúbal to cross the 25 de Abril bridge across the Tagus estuary, ending up in Portugal's beautiful capital: Lisbon. Enjoy the tree-lined avenues, the old squares and the beautiful buildings!

Today we're making our way closer to Lisbon, Portugal's capital. We're driving from Aljustrel to Setúbal, within Lisbon's metropolitan area. Looking forward to some great city driving next episode!

Today we're cruising on the Portuguese A22 and A2 highways between Portimão on the Southern cost, and the inland town of Aljustrel on our way to Portugal's capital of Lisbon! Enjoy the scenic ride and the sunshine! This also means we've passed the southernmost point in our enormous road trip, and are heading north back towards home!

Today we're driving from the Spanish/Portuguese border where we left off last time, past Faro and Albufeira to Lagos on the coast in the Algarve, using the A22 toll road. Plenty of popular vacation destinations on the way and probably lots of familiar names if you've ever visited this beautiful part of the planet!

On today's road trip we're driving the final stretch of southern Spain in Andalusia, from Sevilla up to the Portuguese border. The border is in the middle of the Guadiana bridge over the Rio Guadiana. Next episodes we'll make our way to the beach resorts of Albufeira and Lagos in the Algarve!
