Easy Plants for the Busy Holidays: Waxed Amaryllis
Madam its a very very good remedy for wound healing .its a amazing plant for wounds cure and when its apply over the wounds the blood flow will stop immediately kindly try it and make a video
I got a tiny cutting of this two years ago from a local nursery. I have grown it in my yard ever since. In the fall, I have to take a cutting of it and bring it indoors and over winter, and I make more plants during that time. In the spring, they all go out into the garden. fun fact, they also make a pretty good pond plant. I tucked some in between the rocks at the edge of my pond and it went crazy all summer. I go through a lot of trouble to make sure that I have this in my yard, because it’s such a popular plant for the pollinators.
Don’t put it in a moist area? You sure about this?
@@cherylj7460 it will certainly take moist soil as many plants in the Iris family do. Didn’t mean to mis-speak. But it’s also very adaptable, and in my garden in a spot that tends to be very dry, it’s very happy and spreading!! Thanks for your comment!
@@OakStreetGardenShop Well that’s good to know! I have seeds, so I can try it in drier areas!
They say the stems will be purple and the veins in the leaves will be purple
Hi thanks for the foxglove video. You mentioned finding foxglove plants in the Fall, however you didn’t mention sowing seeds. Do you have a video on sowing foxglove seeds? Thank you.
Is this a indoor or outdoor plant
Outdoor.
Just bought one today, is there any special fertilizer it needs.
Can you do a video showing how to collect the vinca seeds?
Thank you for the information about this orchid - they are beautiful!
Thank you for packing so much good info into a short video. It is much appreciated.
Sua propaganda chegou no Brasil! 👍
'IM getting one to plant! Hope it comes back next year! Thx!!❤
@@susanc7945 these are annual begonias, not perennials. They are readily available each year though.
I'd love to see an update on how the Dwarf Fig is doing now... Please! 🤗
@@nc8848 we sold them all!
So beautiful collection Thanx for sharing, my best wishes 🙏
Just bought some and they kind of look like they are dying this week. They sit in front of my house in the sun.
Something is eating the flowers on my Periwinkles! Any advice?
I bought 6 of them but don’t know how to prune back. I figured just above the first set of leaves from the bottom. Is that too far back ?
I have started to grow my own foxglove, thanks for the video....my second batch is just germinating.
When is the right time to plant vincas in India North east

true very efective for kidney problem❤
I grew up in a garden center literally. It's a hard life and that lady knows it. But she's right plant now plant all the time there's always something that you can enjoy in every season.
Thank you, Rita! That’s the right attitude - there’s always something that can be done.
Thanks
No problem

I have potted dwarf figs and have a Fignomenal arriving today in a 4" pot. I put my figs out for the summer and bring them inside for the winter. Some are kept in an unheated garage over the winter and some inside the house (Iowa zone 5). I have one ready to go outside that has about a dozen small figs on it already and have good luck with dwarf figs. They don't take much food, but they like a lot of water. I'm curious and have some questions for you. What type of soil mixture and ratios work best for you? What size pot would you transfer the new 4" potted Fignomenal to for the first summer? You're in the South, so our growing conditions are quite different.
Pot size will depend on the size of the root system. Best guess would be a 6” pot the first summer, then monitor root growth, and repot as necessary. We use Fafard Professional potting soil here and Osmocote slow release fertilizer. Good luck with your fig!
Lovely, thank you good ma'am. 💚💚💚
Very refresing plant
like your trellis! Very Artsy!
Thank you!!
Thanks for the education
Of course! We love what we do!
If the steam is not purple, it is a true African Blue Basil plant.
❤
I love this plant. Looks fantastic on my balcony.
I love it!
They grow nicely in a pot here in Arizona. 🌸
Good to know!
Bought this for my cat. Cant wait for mine to arrived! 😁
Hope you enjoy it!
I got one April '23. Admittedly, I didn't keep it in full sun, but on a covered porch. However, it survived a zone 9b record breaking summer heat, with the most days over 110°F and a run of 114°F days. I got one teeny tiny fig. (I was surprised I got any. ) But, the plant itself is closer to 3 ft wide by 2 ft high. When I bought it, the nursery said I should repot "soon." It just dropped its last few leaves, so I figure now (Jan '24) is a good time. Should I also prune? How? (When I first got it, it had obviously been pruned.)
Cat whiskers tea is really good for UTI❤❤❤
I rented a house that had this (I think). I used it in cooking in my spaghetti sauce. It was spectacular! When I was in San Diego I saw a pot of it and was like, “THIS IS IT!” I didn’t buy it, but I think i need to. ❤️
I tried it because the flowers are a gorgeous purple. Boy, was I not disappointed!! This basil performed like no other basil I've ever grown!! The pollinators loved it as much as I did. Will definitely grow this again. I heard it was Perennial but just read it can only be grown from cuttings because the plants are sterile?? Not sure. But whatever the case I'll get more seeds to make sure this beauty is part of my gsrden again.
It might reseed itself. It grew like a weed where I used to live.
@@hollyrockets I sure do hope it does!!
If you got seeds somewhere and they germinated...it is NOT a true African Blue Basil plant. More likely it's a Camphor or Dark Opal basil which are the two basils that the African Blue was developed from by crossing them. It is a STERILE and perennial plant....if y ou can find an honest nursery or seller that will send you rooted cuttings!
This I a one of my favorites 😊looooove cat whisker flowers omg!!!
Glad to hear these comments on the size! As we said in the video, this is a new plant for us and we were going by the size printed on the tag info. There’s nothing like real growing experience!
Thanks from the UK. V useful!
Glad it was helpful!
My fignomenal has grown to 4 feet tall and abput 3 feet wide. It had 20 or so figs this year (1 year in the ground). Small figs. Taste like peach and maybe strawberry. Open eye. Related to chicago hardy
2’ x2’. Nope
Would that be too optimistic or too pessimistic?
depends on the pot if its in like a 3 gallon pot and it never gets put into a bigger one it wont grow very big i have mine in like a 2 or 3 gallon poty amnd it stopped growing at about 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide and its starting to put on figs right now i just notriced the little figlets today
are they all in the same pot ? different species of plant
