Hi, DutchS5 here! The owner of Audi S5 4.2L V8 from 2011. I'm trying to share the best content about my car which has a fantastic V8 sound that attracts a lot of attention! Driving in The Netherlands through the nature, city and the highway where the tachmoeter and myself are blurred off due the traffic rules here. It's all about the anti-turbo V8 sound!!!

hello bro whats the exhaust set up this time , i bought same S5 cuz your vids. try to make R8 sound , some say i need x pipe down pipe and x pipe mid pipe to creat dual x pipe sound , then it will sound like R8 with high pitch

What are some serious problems that occur with this year and model was looking for either this year or a 12 do the engines hold up as well by it being an older car
My car was almost totaled when it was still in Texas. After the import, I had to do a lot of repairs afterwards but it is well worth it. Anyway, I haven't experienced anything crazy...
But there is a loss of 30hp which I don't care about because this model is not the fastest anymore.
@@dutchs5the loss is likely due to carbon buildup on the intake valves. I have an 07 S6 V10 and carbon buildup is a major issue that takes power FAST. If the car was recently carbon cleaned then I’m wrong and the loss is from something else (I have a few ideas as the S6’s 5.2 V10 is based on the 4.2 V8). If it wasn’t carbon cleaned recently, take a look at the intake valves. Either use a long camera or pull the intake manifold (not as hard as it sounds). The valves should be silver and shiny, not black. They should be cleaned every 6-12 months and is easy to DIY.

@@dutchs5 you got any videos of the revs? As I got the late 2011 with the plastic intake also and I've only had it for around 3 weeks trying to see if it's okay or not...as mine is sounding strange
@@X055_s5 I've s5 2009 and it has the plastic intake manifold too. They have changed that after 2008 because of problems with intake flaps in the previous manifold, so the plastic one doesn't have that issue :D
which exhaust? or just deleted mufflers?
It's a straight H-pipe and ofcourse the mufflers are deleted with a valve system.

Yes. It is called Audi Drive Select.
@@dutchs5 Audi Drive Select is for choosing the mode of car suspension, steering etc. Sport diff is another thing...
@@elzrinja365 That's right, but Sport Differential comes together with ADS only. So it is from factory.
@@dutchs5 ADS did came without sportsdifferential, these were unrelated seperate options. Option code for sportdif is GH2 and makes a big difference
@@larsjoustra2364 my b8.5 has drive select & sport diff. It’s crazy what the difference is when the sport diff is activated vs when it isn’t activated. The amount of understeer with the diff turned off is super scary, I can’t drive it aggressively with the diff turned off. But with the diff turned to dynamic mode it feels like a whole other car. Handles amazingly well. I have no suspension mods right now except a strut tower brace, but the S5 can handle the twistiest ALMOST as well as my MK1 TT that’s on coilovers 🤯
