Yeah the trade off for leaving yourself completely vulnerable isn't worth it imo, although I didn't play too much with that setup. Notice I do use the bigger guns, harder to use in a dog fight, but you can destroy any ground vehicle with those and jdam combo in one strafe, while still having a hope in hell to defend against enemy jets on the way out! 😅😅

Definitely best to unlock stuff in single player rounds first for the Draugr before taking it out in the wild.

Yeah, not my best run, got it down to 404K (gets tough then). Just wanted to get this out before the challenge ended so it would be useful to others. So the aproach is to come in with as much speed as possible. Timer only starts when you hit land. Here I'm at around 600, but 700 is ideal. Let me know if you beat 404K and thanks for the comment 💪 Edit: Oh and FYI staying low at 750 knots without blacking out is quite tricky! Good luck!

@ im fully aware, but if msfs was even remotely realistic when it came to fighters they would realise that turning at 750 knots turns you into a flying airbreak and you lose all speed…

100% from the beginning of the run. At around 1:10 I reduced my throttle to 75%, and I leave it there until the turn crossing over the river at 1:50 where I pump it back to 100% to the end of the run trying to gain as much speed as possible. With a bit of luck pulled it off. :)

Great job. I was able to get 2:19 to pull 3rd in my cohort. 1st place has 2:13 and the world record is 2:05. It's definitely possible to get faster times but even the slightest turn angle can make the difference in approaching a turn being sharp or flowing. You pretty much have to flow on the outside line in the turns and cut inside on the straights.

@@HannibalStudios6 I'm a few seconds faster than you. I'm not sure how the world record did it. Just to push any lower than 2:10, it's a big balancing act with keeping your speed redlined the whole time, but not so much that it resets you mid-flight.

@@HannibalStudios6 that's right, minimal active control surfaces; I bind propeller pitch to slider and keep throttle 100%; mostly full-on choosing shortest line; gain speed over river some altitude helps with final speed higher

@@roaster86 I mean... Breakthrough is derivative of the BF1 Operations. Operations were a large scale mode. How the heck did they regressed it into a mode where no BR maps can have attack aircraft? They just had to give more wildcats or jets

@@roaster86 interesting. then the thing at the restriction that says mastery progress is limited is probably UI bug, good to know. It will be infinitely easier and fun to get T1 on the jets on this server then. Thanks again

@@roaster86 Generally the UI seems to be weird. For example when I am trying to host an Air superiority server, the UI claims it has restricted XP even if I keep every setting the same
