I agree that too much reliance on synergies (plant or otherwise) may not be effective in a one box brew. I would choose the lowest cost Muna cards among characters and spells and hope for the best. The nature of alternating turns in Altered means that a one or two mana card can work as an "after you" which can allow you to react more effectively and steal an expedition when your opponent has exhausted their own mana.

15:27, try to off you go the jean d'arc to trigger her ability since both expeditions were forfeit. Would make the next day much easier.

Why exaltered instead of BGA? I just started this week and I thought BGA was the go-to spot for playing online.

I’ve said it before. And I’ll say it again. Square Enix sucks ass at making money. It feels like the entire FF IP accidentally landed a cash cow, and they have no idea what to do with it.

If I were you I would have abused more of the draw with sakarubru and two sakarubru were very good at that point of the game, better than mana channelling: 3 draws and two expeditions advantage :)

A small correction regarding the top 4 of this event. Due to how BGA breaks ties using elo, the top 4 was actually Waru, Waru, Afanas, Teija. Still happy to see new heroes reaching new heights and a growing diversity in the meta.

Even though there's a shield system once again, I think it actually feels like it makes sense here and fits really well in the Gundam universe.

As I've got older I find I enjoy games like rocket league because I can come home after work, help with dinner and take care of my son etc then have a couple games and destress. I can play for 5 minutes or I can play for an hour. I used to play a lot of runescape and wow, it just feels like they become a daily grind, a checklist to complete or else you may feel you miss out. I don't think you take into account that's it's pretty much impossible to play an mmo in short sessions. It's not the total hours you can get out of a game before 100% it, it's how much time you can invest into each session and still feel a satisfactory progression. I have 1500 hours in rocket league since around 2016. I probably played 2000 hours of wow a year back when I had the time to waste.

Yes, i play mobile moba, and yes i got hundred hours but it took me years to achieve that number since i only play mostly one game a day which is about 20 minutes 😂 the problem of mmo for adult is the grinding. Like cmon bro, nobody likes grinding for hundred materials and also gold/zenny/whatever it is. Moreover if you took everyday grinding for a month to gather them which is also very repetitive. We are not young anymore The last time i play mmo is aura kingdom and i fell asleep in the middle of grinding because i was so tired from working. That moment i decided to stop play mmo for good. Sad because i am a huge fan of online mmorpg genre 😢

Based. And in both scenarios. It's great to see what 500 hours of even relaxed effort can bring you. I'm approaching 300 hrs in guilty gear, a game I don't have the stamina to play for more than 90min at a time. But the combos, mind games, and instincts hammered into my body from over two years of practice feel amazing to show off.

For me, it's more about the fact that I can sit down and play a quick game of any random modern PvP game for 20-30 minutes and feel accomplished. A full game compared to 30 minutes of a grind in OSRS, FF14, etc where the progress compared to an end goal is just so small that it stops feeling worthwhile.

Thanks for the shoutout! I like how you said you wouldn't win and then won the first game. I definitely agree that the biggest loss for most decks in Pauper is just the vastly reduced cardpool. Going from 54 possible cards to 27 can be rough to find good synergies, but it'll just get better as we get more cards!

A couple things, you are correct, there's no cards that exhaust in reserve or cards that exhaust other cards in reserve so that new Yzmir card is definitely spoiling a new mechanic. I'm guessing it's going to be similar to the current support ability where you can discard a card from reserve to activate it's ability only you exhaust it instead to get an ability. Could be really cool! The stats on that eternal muna character aren't very good, 6 for 6/5/5 is under the curve and also I don't know that it works THAT well in Rin and orchid. Here's the thing, You don't exactly want to play that card in a forest because if you win that expedition, which is probably likely with that six, it goes to reserve like any other card and is just a blank 6/5/5 for 6 which is really bad. However, if you put it in any other terrain and win that expedition moving you into Forest, then at rest you basically have an anchored character for a turn, maybe more if you end up losing that expedition the next time.

Wow, I'm a bit salty about your Robin Hood. Got also a Robin Unique from Lyra, sadly the ability is not really fitting the Lyra Festival Deck I'm currently building.

Sorry, just a small correction, Gundam is nowhere near as big as One Piece IN THE WEST. In Japan, Gundam is probably one of the biggest properties in all of Japanese media. Gundam is EVERYWHERE over there, it’s really cool. That being said, I’m super excited for this game, and sadly I missed out on the pre-order, hopefully one of my local card shops gets the beta box
