God's Portion - Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church
One of my favorite hymns growing up in the United Methodist Church with the Choir and Pipe Organ
This was such an incredible ministry in music. i thoroughly enjoyed this! The great hymns live on forever!
Just lovely and beautifully done! Wonderful 4 part harmony, and the ORGAN accompany excellent. Just right!! Hampton Va.
Where is the church located? Give us info?
I just saw this. This particular channel is no longer updated. I'm a member of the choir. We are Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas: 4823 Woodlawn Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. *ALL* are welcome. If you are not local to us, visit: www.phumc.com and click the "worship" tab, then "webcasts." Although the webcast shown on that link is usually outdated, if you click on the "PHUMC on TH-cam" link, you will see all our services, both traditional and contemporary (or search for us here.) We will be singing this anthem again on 11/5/2017.
James Maase the Organist should get a Medal his Organ performance was OUTSTANDING
🎹🎹🎹🎹🎶🎵Definately anointed Organist
OUTSTANDING, Who the ORGANIST.... What Organ is that....looks like a Moller Pipe Organ is it?
Jim Maase was the organist here. Pulaski Heights UMC, Little Rock AR. Organ started out as a Schantz and was totally renovated by Nichols and Simpson.
Rev. Britt Skarda is a very blessed man.
A great performance of a great hymn - truly "a song of love and fervor," as the lyrics said. I remember singing this song with my ninth-grade Glee Club and feeling very moved by its gospel-spiritual vibrance. A beautiful church, too. Thanks for posting.
+choirpres2010 Stating something more than once doesn't make it any more true. So, your comment(s) suck(s). Although I'd prefer a version with a tenor as Moses, a bass as God, and the choir only as narrator, this extended anthem is not easy to pull off, and this choir does it with good tempos, harmony parts, accompanist, etc.
Awesome and powerful. As a growing boy, i heard this hymn sung by our local UMChurch . then when I came to know Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of 15, it's message became a prayer of my life and powerful inspiration.
Beautiful! Robert Leaf was my uncle.
Have a look at Aled Jones singing the hymn in Patagonia. He sings the second verse of this in Welsh in relation to the Welsh settlers in Patagonia during the 1860's (he is also Welsh).
this is a mess!
Yayay! I'm in the Soprano section.
There isn't one. The words were written by Charles Wesley in the 1740's and found their way into the first Methodist hymn book. The tune has a welsh name as it was written by a welsh composer.
we preformed this song at lake Junaluska music and arts week this last summer; Kenny Potter was the director.
good but keep improve
