I did not expect the Blazar Remus to look like this on the Burano
Tested out the Blazar Remus 1.5x anamorphic set (amber flare version) on my Sony Burano during a little family vacation. Pretty blown away by the performance.
I own the 65mm as well and it's great, but none of the shots made the cut. 45mm is by far my favorite and thats what the majority of these shots are. The 100mm is great too and sharpens up nicely at T4.

Some handheld and steadicam test shots of my kids to figure out if I'm keeping the Burano or not. After seeing the footage I definitely am. I'm especially blown away by the camera's colors and highlight roll off. Also, having dual native ISO in combination with a raw codec let me shoot a lot deeper into blue hour than I've been able to go with other cameras. I think low light performance is a p...

amazing work 🔥
Magical very nice video with the kids
Beautiful!
Luke ,we need the review of Burano~~~
It is the best camera in the world - there’s my review
Beautiful family but the image is plasticky and commercial to the core.
This is a great comment
As a girl dad and as a filmmaker/photographer for a university, this is the next-level stuff that I've seen from a Blazar lens and a Sony camera.
Beautiful
Me watching this on a 21:9 monitor 😍
looks insane!!
Are these the amber or silver flares?
From one videographer dad to another, this was great! Always good to make those memories while testing out gear haha!
three of my dreams in one video ❤❤✨ A Burano , A Set of decent Anamorphic Lances and a Family like this ❤
These home family videos are getting more and more hq by the day.
beautiful. instant sub!!
Beautiful shots and beautiful family. Thank you for sharing!
I have my six months old son on my hands while watching this. :)
Dude just came across your channel. Seriously stunning work and as a fellow believer/ recently married man, this is inspiring. Keep it up!
Beautiful, how come there doesn’t seem to be as much chromatic aberration in this footage as most of the other footage I’ve seen? Haha
Came here for a lens video, left smiling and hugging my kids. Beautiful family! And great video, thanks.
I saw other contents, TH-camrs who uses and promotes the Remus with their Sony FX lines and other camera brands which I personally dislike how these Blazar lenses delivers. But with your Burano, i was blown away with your family clips! or is it just the camera operator who is good and know how to use anamorphic!?
This reel is so good I barfed all over my desk from overstimulation. On of the bests I have seen. I was in Charlotte for a non-profit project and almost messaged you on Insta. Love your work and personality my man. Would love to chat with you sometime about the industry and your experience. Love you
those sunset shots looks incredible!
Oh wow. This was the sweetest thing I saw in a while. Such gorgeous happy nice kids you have. You are blessed. This is where you live or holidays?
If I need to convince my wife to let me buy these lenses, I'm 100% sending her this video. 😂👏Great footage man!
I'm just confused how you aren't getting intense barrel distortion when panning. Do you got a trick for this?
Man, this is so good. What adapter do you have? Also, 45 looks good on a full frame I'm assuming? Like Sony fX3?
Answered a few questions I had. Thanks. I will be doing something similar.
Good Video.
so nice :) subscribed!
i just bought a SIRUI 1.25x Anamorphic Adapter for $350 and screws right on the lens. works on all my lenses since they are all set to 82mm filters with step up adapters. Love the video though and the creativity of the setup. hello from AVL
the flares on the stairs wow
damn
These are great! Have you noticed the rolling shutter with 1.5X desqueeze? I hope Sony updates the Burano with a 4:3 mode.
Looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing. What T-stop did you use most of the time on the 45?
@@fotonikolaj thanks! T2
@@lukefletcherfilms Oh wow. I didn't expect them to be so relatively sharp wide open.
This is so awesome, feel like a movie
It's a good look, but even on TH-cam you can see they are soft lenses. You can always soften (in cam or in post) but not the other way around.
to you, it's a camera test, to them they're core memories.
Great piece. I bought the A set and took them to Asia for three weeks to shoot a doc and was about 80% on the 45mm as well. Very nice.
looks cool.
These lenses have no business being this good for that price
@@AfoteyAnnum forreal. It’s ridiculous.
@@lukefletcherfilms this is STUNNING image quality. Absolutely filmic. No one would mistake this for any iPhone footage or anything like that LOL Surely the Burano is doing some lifting, but the Remus lenses SHINE here
The footage looked absolutely gorgeous, I need to get my hands on these! Also, your kids are so cute man
Which focal length for the Schneider cinelux? Looks like there’s a bunch of different ones
beautiful stuff man
@@MasonChar 🙏
@@lukefletcherfilms just convinced me to rent these for an upcoming shoot!
@@MasonChar lesssgoooo. You’ll love it man.
this is so cool... which shot is 100mm?
This is absolutely gorgeous. Your family is beautiful and you've captured that in a way I haven't seen yet with the Blazars. Maybe it's your coloring skills, maybe it's the Burano, probably both. The image is so appealing and inviting it feels like you are there. A lovely combo of anamorphic style and high level image capture. Blown away. I can't wait until mine arrive.
Thanks so much man. Means a lot. You’ll definitely love your Burano
Everything looks great! I was curious how did you film underwater with this setup? Like on 6:24
finally a Blazar video that has a "normal" look instead if the extreme heavy vintage luts!!
The barrel distortion on the edges is actually really beautiful
@@earnieboy54 totally agree
You deserve a like sir. This looks like a real pain in the ass…. Could I use a Kowa instead of a Schneider? And I’m not noticing much of any flaring at all btw. But that swirly distortion looks really cool
@@seanfrancis7101 yeah I’m sure you can.
Most vintage lenses like the Helios allow you to focus slightly beyond infinity to accommodate for inconsistencies in cameras' flange distance. So when you get the sharpest image, you *are* focusing it to infinity, just that the maximum throw of the lens isn't infinity.
This makes a ton of sense. Thank you so much.
