Barotrauma MOD: THE MINI-SUB Strat
"Hmm, that's strange."
A lone, faint blue light glows in the dark command room. The Captain squints long and hard at the display layout of the Submarine, repeatedly tapping at the glowing monitor. "This ain't right..." he mutters to himself, fumbling to reach for his headset hooked nearby as he continues to stare at the soft glowing display.
Hastily fastening on the headset, the Captain toggles on the channel direct to the head of security, "Hey... uh, Sec. Yes. Captain speaking. Ya mind checkin something..."
A short pause. A voice crackles back.
"Uh, sure boss. Actually, I've been trying to repo-"
"Yeah, yeah, that's great," the Captain interrupts, "Now shaaaaddup, ya dope, this is an urgent matter. Go directly down to the docking bay. Is the mini-Sub still there?"
"Sure boss, I can go check, but ther-"
"Because I'm looking at this Sub Map monitor here...and this thing is APPARENTLY..." the Captain interrupts again gesturing at the screen, "It ain't freaking there!"
"Of course, Captain, but there's. I need to tel-"
"Because if its those KNUCKLEHEADS," rising from his chair, the Captain pounds his fist on the desk, "from engineering, taking it out on another stupid joy ride. AGAIN. I'm telling you. Someone is getting kicked off this submarine. JUST STRAIGHT out of the airlo-"
"CAPTAIN!" blurts out the crackling voice, "there's something more urgent I need to report!"
Momentarily stunned, the Captain chuckles. "And what, pray tell my dear security guard, could be more urgent than missing A WHOLE STINKIN' mini-sub?"
The Captain hears the security guard struggling with his words, before finally responding.
"All the explosive ammo is missing too!"

Hey thanks man, I just really like editing around memorable moments. In this case, these matches were just the beginning trend of people stealing all the explosive ammo to escape on the mini sub. Who would then come back. And then absolutely DEVASTATE the main sub. It happened so many times, the admins had to modify the sub to make it harder to steal the mini-sub (locked from the command room, remotely detonate explosives). But people never gave up trying to find ways around these obstacles, so the sub would just have never ending changes to it. Pretty funny looking back on it.

Barotrauma pvp pro tip: get c4, detonator, wire and plasma cutter. Cut your way into the enemy's ship (preferably close to reactor) and place the detonator with c4 near a door or hatch, wire the detonator to the door and whoevers poor soul opens it is gonna get unexisted.
The fact that the devs didn’t even add SFX to the Mauser pistol reload shows they really rushed the last of those updates hoping it’d attract attention. Sadly it didn’t.

You can’t unless you have husk genes, but in this case it was the admin that respawned me in my husk body.
This made me laugh so hard when the slashers arrive
These were some of my first matches when BTW just came out of early access in August 2022. Damn I got so lost in those matches, and I mean lost in how fun and immersive it was. Immediately fell in love with the game.

Yeah, same here... and others as well. The Saturday sessions, that have been going on for well over a year now, is a testament to how some people really want that Beyond the Wire experience again.

I like the gameplay and style of you and your boys, It’s just the editing or recording I’m kinda bummed with. The constant zooming in and out and shaking around and stuff I can’t really get into that. Idk. It drove me nuts. But everything else was awesome !

Well there are weekly play sessions held on Saturday 10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT/5 PM GMT/10:30 PM IST. Other then that you'd probably have to rely on playing with bots. Although... seeing what happened with Post Scriptum *AHEM I mean Squad 44, we MIGHT see a potential revival in 2024 (though definitely not guaranteed). Will have to wait and see...

Aah, it was fun sometimes yes. A bit odd the thing could never climb ladders.
hehe, yeah true, very true. Then you would need to either resort to flooding the entire station to get up those ladders or do the transform command. But even with those little kinks, I think its great that people are able to look past them and just have fun.

Thought I was scott free fleeing the sub. But every time I checked the sonar scanner, this little blip kept coming closer. Love these kind of moments in Barotrauma.

Hey thanks, I just like to think of ways I can 'enhance' these little moments by experimenting and messing around with the editing. (In this case I wanted to highlight the prisoners and the doctor with different glows, as they fought in this really chaotic fight, which I think turned out pretty good). There's nothing to apologize forrrr
