Conveniently located on the main floor, this suite is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. The bedroom is separate from the living room, each with their own TV. There are two balconies - one with table and chairs and the other with just chairs. The jacuzzi tub overlooks the pool beach and ocean. Definitely a room to keep in mind when booking.

Room 200 is a one of a kind room. It's a “regular” Oceanview room but extremely large with an oversized balcony that has two loungers and table with two chairs with an amazing view. I would like to withdraw USD in Mexico (the account is in USD). Are the fees the same? Do you recommend any particular bank/ATM with lower fees? Do you know if the bills that the ATM gives out are 100 usd or smaller?

Great video... however the music track was AWFUL !! Had to mute it.
The conversion question is BS. Like it's there to confuse us into charging more money. I recently clicked yes bc in a hurry "of course i want my money converted. Duh!" I havent traveled to MX in 15 yrs. And with the line behind me and tired flight and wife was scrambling out of there. I just dont understand the purpose of the "conversion" question. Obviously my account is in USD and im there to get pesos. It's like a scam.

I know to decline the last conversion but do you know what happens if you click No to the service fee? Does it cancel or offer another lower service fee?

Do ATMs accept DEPOSITS of peso notes back to your home bank? Don't want to be stuck with pesos when I'm about to catch my flight home. Or maybe it's better to find a currency exchange or bank to physically convert my pesos into dollars (Canadian dollars) ?
I do not believe they accept deposits. I have never tried tried depositing money in any atm, local or not, that didn't belong to my bank.

So.. to understand better With how much less I will get in pesos if for example I want to take out 100€? How much will they charge me for that transaction? Or did I understood well that they charge per transaction?

What ATMs are good to use in mexico? I hear a lot of bad ATMs that are scams
Any of the ones that are indoors and have a bank name on them are the safest. The ones inside a store are good. There's a lot of indoor areas that have multiple ATMs. If it's right oustide of a bank, they would be safe to use as well. We sometimes use those and then go straight into the bank to exchange the larger bills for smaller bills.

Do you need to rent a locker? Or are you able to safely set things aside? Do they provide towels? Do you have any tips or advice for a visit to Dolphinaris?
We did not rent a locker. Each station that they go to has benches and a large umbrella and the bench has a storage in them. Since everyone is with their specific guide, no one is wandering around that shouldn't be there. You can "rent" a towel. They haveNo specific tips but their pictures are outrageously expensive and they don't negotiate. It's take it or leave it. They do have a bar a after you get your life vest and before you are called to the water. I believe you get a free drink while waiting.
How can I book through a member or get discounts?
You can reach out on the Cozumel Palace FB page that you are looking for a member to book through. Diamond member or higher will have the best benefits.
PLEASE BOYCOTT!!! Anyone who has any respect for wildlife/animals would NOT attend dolphin or captive whale shows. The dolphins are kidnapped from their pods and forced to live in cruel dismal conditions, confined to tiny tanks when not performing. These shows are outlawed all over the world and yet still exist in developing countries so a few people can make money off of animal cruelty.
If we have two people going on this, can we maybe do the dolphin experience two different times so one of us can film from afar the other doing it? Does this make sense?
Yes if you made reservations at different times, one of you could film from the platform. They usually have multiple groups going at the same time so you would need to make sure that the second reservation does not overlap the first.

How much per night?
It's not necessary to just stick to banks, ATMs at grocery stores etc...are fine, rule of thumb, go where locals go...you are catering your video for Americans, ok, I guess, but many people who live/visit are not American and don't care about a USD-Peso conversion...Banorte has one of the higher fees, there are ATMs that are cheaper (Citi, Santander)

Absolutely go where the locals go. I go to the grocery store all the time but my video there was not good. The point of this is to not accept the conversion rate it initially gives you. I’m sure that’s the case for whatever currency you use.

Do you mind sharing the cost 💲 so i can get a idea for a family room .
Of course..... We stayed 8 nights. Booking through a diamond member was $3200 non refundable or $3400 for refundable. Either way there were several perks included - $1500 in usable resort credits, 2 excursions for 2 adults, 25min back massage, mani and pedi for 2 adults, transportation to/from airport. The cost with booking through the site was going to be $5200 without the perks.

We’re you able to sit in front of the beach and how was the food?
Yes you can sit in front of the beach on the sand or on loungers. Their swing bar, Barracuda, is also right there on the beach. Portofino was incredible. The Mexican restaurant was really good. Oceana was good but my husband's food didn't come out hot. Seaside is fantastic. We just had an appetizer at the Japanese restaurant but it was still great.
@@thejordanadventures9083 thank you! I was thinking about switching my reservations from Dreams to Secrets yesterday but they must have noticed I was looking at the location because within half an hour it went from $540 to $714 a night 🤦🏼♀️
@@Blessednesting Where ever you are looking online, clear your cache and cookies and then search again.... Another option is to book through a member to get a discount. You don't have to know a member, just post on a FB page that you want to book through a member or get prices through a member and you'll have people responding to you.
@@thejordanadventures9083 well I became a Hyatt member, is that what you mean? We typically stay at the Hilton Los Cabos and had planned on staying there again until a few weeks ago. They raised their room rates and aren’t all inclusive and we have another trip coming up with the kids too. I have one video of the Hilton on my page.
That's not a Masquerade Suite. They are called Masquerade Suites because they are in the Masquerade tower, the larger of the two building that is show in the view out the window. That room is in the Ipanema tower. They scammed you, the Rio is bad at booking. If you book a Masquerade suite, they may put you in a similar suite or in the other tower. Apparently it's first come first served, they did that to me before, I raised hell, they refunded my resort fee and gave me a $75 food credit. The Masquerade suite is much bigger than that suite and has unobstructed views of the strip. 180 degrees if you get the right room.

Do you know what type of room it was? I see options for Deluxe, Premium, and Luxury under the masquerade room types.
Room & Bathroom much larger than Allegro & 1/3 larger than Iberostar Cozumel.
The beach area is nothing like it was in 2009 when I stayed there. A LOT of sand & width has been washed away. VERY SAD to see.

What was the after dinner night life like?
We were there January 2020, Mexico was in Orange and capacity was 30% max. So it's hard to say much about the nightlife. They did put on shows every night in the atrium because the the theater was closed. The Mixology bar was also open late and they had karaoke sometimes. There was also a live music player in the lobby bar. They did the best they could considering the circumstances.
