Hi @myjulie60 the price is great £19 is very good and funnily enough I felt this would be a great date place. There were people of all ages there and a lot of them were young people some on dates holding hands😊 I said to Mark when I was younger this is the sort of place I would have gone with my friends. In the later evening I can imagine it may attract a slightly older crowd due to all the types of Cocktails and verity of drinks on offer. It is a good place, but the Steak and Salmon were overdone when we went which is a real shame

Hey @saintcot3094 yeah it's a shame really although Mark didn't feel the Salmon was dry, but I did. It is a place to try, at £19 it's good value, but there other good value Steak places to try for sure.

@gianinaruczkowski9962 Thank you😊 It's true I didn't feel it was as good as it should have been, may be that day we were unlucky sometimes this happens. On to the next review, hopefully we will be lucky 😊

@conniemccormick6985 I get it for sure, people are passionate about Steak. I'll order medium well, but maybe if I was at a Steak place, I might have ordered medium possibly, but more likely, I would have cooked medium at home rather than order that out. However I know a lot of people like Rare or medium rare

@@annamartin3489 The pianist was good, but it was a little loud, we then had to put music over the top in case of copyright. We may go back here again, but not anytime soon as there are so many other afternoon tea places to try 😊

@saintcot3094 You're right, definitely plenty of choice and you can see on Mark's face how much he enjoys it here and yep cleared his plate no problem 😂

@RiverDanube Yes the ideas are very similar 😁 I love M&S, I think they do great food options and keep their brand updated with new things and keep around the old favourites. May be we'll try the Afternoon tea here again, but not anytime soon.

@myjulie60 I agree the outlook is worth the price. Though not the best fish and chips the sights of the pier and sea are lovely.

@@MarkandKellys agree.. but have to say the best fish & chips I’ve ever had were in Whitstable. Loads of oyster stalls for Mark there.

This one was very good value for money, we could have ordered 2 afternoon teas here, and that still would have been less expensive than the others we've had😂 However, it's so good to review all these afternoon teas and show a real range of what's on offer.

This one was different and we liked the room where the tea was held and the pianist playing gave it a nice vibe. I would consider going here again to sample a different Afternoon Tea

This was a nice place, and the theme was great, but the fillings in the sandwiches were so thin, plus no refills of the sandwiches which I think they should have done at least one extra round. I would go here again if some things were changed, but not for a long time.

Yeah the views from the Shard are stunning while we did enjoy the afternoon tea here. We wanted to experience something vastly different to the other ones we've been to.

You are right that the service charge effectively bumps up the price to £90. We like to show the bill at the end of our videos, so you know exactly what you are being charged. Service charge can effectively end up being a very pricy tip! We did like the range of sandwiches F&M offer, and the pea and mint go well together. The chicken is not to everyone's taste I agree! @RiverDanube Interesting, I was thinking it could be that the creme anglaise might have seeped through making the case soft, but yes might not have been baked enough, I can't imagine they were out of the freezer, though I could be wrong. The cream and jam were very good. I definitely think Bread Ahead should use that jam for one of their doughnut flavours. It would be by far their best doughnut if they did😋

I've been to Herne Bay a few times, it's lovely there, we'll definitely go again at some point.

@MarkandKellys oh really let me know next time I show u a few places of great food to review but best fish chips in herne bay is fish in two fish shop highly recommended

Yeah, I prefer fish and chips too, I don't mind mussels freshly cooked in Garlic butter, but such a hassle to eat out of the shells so I don't bother 😅

We love Lanzarote, it will be a while until we go back again, but we look forward when the time comes. I have spent Christmas there once and it was so nice being on the beach on Christmas day. We hope you have a wonderful time when you are there. Enjoy and dance dance dance 💃

Hi @karend4243 thank you😊 Yes, you can replenish sandwiches, cakes, and scones here it's a great place. Yes, whatever you don't finish, they will box up and let you take it home. Mark and I have been going here for years the staff and hotel are are very nice😊 Oooo coming to London for the first time, we hope you have so much fun there's so many things to do you might not be able to fit it all in! Have an amazing time.

I understand, but there are so many other places that do a good brunch, which isn't all you can eat and more reasonably priced. At some point, we can try those ones out if that is something you'd like to see in the future 😊

No, you don't have to finish it all, and you can choose whatever you'd like from what is available on the day. And you don't have to have the main if you don't want it. That's the beauty of buffet. You can try as much or as little as you want, all for the same price.😊 And the food is delicious here😋

The Dulcey Pecan is one of our favourites🤤 We almost bought one of them too😂

And yes, you definitely need o visit London! So many places to grab treats and restaurants to visit, you may not have time to do any of the tourist sights😂

We adore M&S, we feel the food section is so good. The afternoon tea is very affordable and good value for money

Not for me, but Mark and my mum really enjoyed them. Cucumber is definitely not my thing 😂

@airspeed_alive I've never liked the taste, it's too watery and has a strong flavour at the same time

@shadowguard3578 The cost for Afternoon Tea these days is very high. We're not sure why, we just thought on this occasion that the service at F&M and sandwiches, amongst other things, did not match the high price, and without the slice of cake, we weren't sure why there was such an increase in fee for diminished fare. There are other Afternoon Teas to try. You should definitely go again. It's such a nice experience when you find the right one😊
