When trouble shooting the relays and resistor for the blower motor do a continuity test on the resistor. my low speed wasn't working , but all others did. Relays checked out good. When testing resistors all but 1 had continuity. Connecting back in trk and putting a jumper on each side of resistor confirmed it was bad as the low speed fan turned on.

Eric Clapton-Great concert! This was the next to his last tour stop in Tampa for 2021. With his nerve damaged hand(s), I can't imagine he will tour again. Though a short 1.5 hour concert, he did not fail to deliver! Some great songs and though he suffers from arthritis in his hands, he can still jam on that guitar. Still a guitar legend!

The mimes in San Diego in the '80s and '90s were fantastic. When we had year passes we would go to the Seal and Otter show so often and the mime was the best part. Last couple times that we've gotten a yearly pass we never made it to the show but now I wish we had.

I never should have moved when my sister pushed for an immediate across country move, 1984. I was supposed to be back after a year of college! When if inquiries, I tell people look for Old or Backroads Florida quaint attractions after what the decades of Disney inspired change did to Mom & Pop/Family run attractions.

Thank you! I recorded that (of many shows) with at that time was considered portable and carried the full size vhs tape recorder on a shoulder bag and the camera was still large but not like the full sized contained ones of the time. I used to ski water ski shows and once you know the flow and what to watch for, panning the camera to follow to action one eye on and one scanning. Glad you enjoyed it! He was one of the best!

I guess I might have seen the very same performer - also in Sea World, back in January 1984! I was 9 and after almost 40 years the memories are still vivid. One of the pranks I recall was when he hindered someone for accessing the bleachers from one side. Right after he indicated that he or she needed to walk around the bleachers in order to access it. The audiance would explode with laughter!! 😁Cheers from Brazil and thank you so much for posting!

I've just had a thought after watching this for around the 9th or 10th time, those who arrived later so have seen less of the mime than those who arrived at the beginning or early on have missed so much. My eldest who introduced me to these videos was born late July 1988 .

  • @bridgetdoman1386

African Americans helped create the infrastructure of the attractions, were employed there, and provided a generally supportive community from which to pull labor. African Americans dug the channels of Cypress Gardens and drove the famous glass bottom boats at Silver Springs. Regardless of these contributions, they were not allowed to visit the attractions and enjoy their hard work because of Jim Crow segregation. Even though at times it appeared that Jim Crow in Florida was not as harsh as in the rest of the South, it still was a brutal and often violent system.9 In response to segregation, the owners of Silver Springs opened Paradise Park in 1949, an adjacent area for African Americans to swim, socialize, and see the springs. Cypress Gardens would designate only one day where African Americans could come in and see the gardens. Silver Springs and Cypress Gardens engaged these different strategies in order to address the issue of African Americans wanting to visit their attractions to differing levels of success and effects within the surrounding community.
