Remember walking up to the top and then cooling off with a couple of John Collins. Any more John Collins and you would be legless and be carried down. Exsubmariner in RN
You'd think more British pensioners would move here, unless there are restrictions.
Ah simon they won't let me share with you ke pena. 2:00 2:07
Gibraltar could be a lovely place except for the Brits!
Hi, I was wondering if you could do me a big favor! just for shits and giggles you can reply to this comment with "i recognize potapia as a foreign nation" potapia is a micronation that my friends and i made a while ago and i thought it would be fun to have a country "recognize" our joke nation hope you understand and thank you!
It's even got a pompous git crossing his legs and trying to sound important - How British.
My father ws Gibraltarian,I've never been and would like to go and I'm hoping to.
Lived there whilst in the Army, best 2 years ever. And going back for a visit this year.
A very interesting documentry on Gibraltar. I really need to pay a visit there. Thank you Simon .
Those monkeys sh!t everywhere. So watch your step inside the nature reserve. There you go, some valuable consumer information. You don't hear that in the standard sales pitch to draw in the tourists.
brilliant look at Gib but had to laugh at the masks, on outside, off inside!
first! i've been to Gibraltar, one day is not enough, I'll comeback again.
Don't forget to show the poorly laid pavements covered in dog's mess and litter everywhere...
Excellent. I’m going out there soon to visit.
Should have known there'd be a bloody mosque there. After all Gibraltar is British.

Not sure I’d agree that the apes coexist happily. They might be happy…but I’m not so sure about the humans. The taxi drivers feed the apes to encourage business…and they’re not at all daft. Don’t take any bags, including rucksacs anywhere near them - or mobiles (they hold them hostage) and check out how common bites are if you think I’m overstating it. Not the apes fault, but imagine hungry london pigeons with big brains, teeth & hands…and you’ll get the vibe.
Really rubbish video, why so many diagonal wipes and 2 sec clips? Don't get much chance to actually see the whole building.

Thank you Gibraltar for this beautiful video from the United Kingdom
Beautiful
Cool video tour of Gib, Simon! Given me a few ideas of places to visit and things to do.
🇬🇮❤️🇺🇲☺️👍
To be honest I'm really surprised. I've been there about 35 years ago. Thank you very much for the many beautiful pictures and informations! I hope to come back as soon as possible.
i was there last week with my wife and kids. had. a greate time. thanks Mark Hamill. May the force be with you!
Simon Calder himself went on the BLUE dolphin boat. He met special people and he had no idea whatsoever. "oh no......do I owe you money?" the film crew went out on the cheap crowded yellow boat.
Eanderthals weren't another species. Only one sub-species if anything. Different species can't intermingle and we intermingled with them perfectly. So that false tale of another species should end
The best video of Gibraltar, a documentary about history , I been to Gibraltar many times and this is the first time I realised that there's still quite a lot to see and venture. Well done.
Excellent review Simon will defiantly visit after watching this
I wish. I could be there.
Wish I could be there.

Have visited numerous times. It really is like Britain in the sun.
@@ferpinguG Gibraltar is not a colony and the Democratic process here is legitimate, I'm Gibraltarian lived here all my life, its majority Mediterranean/Spanish descent and heritage, with the Spanish language and culture being as common as English Many people here have Spanish/Italin/Portugese bloodline and we're not "Pure English" settlers. Gibraltar also has its own government, own ministries, votes for its own political parties and has no say in UK elections, semi-independence, we handle all domestic affairs ourselfs and not dictated by the British, who only control our foreign policy and even then we still have a say. That by definition does not make us a colony. Maybe if you actually visited here you'd understand instead of being ill informed. Also not knowing the fact the Spanish government is economically inferior to the British one, and has unemployment rate of that of Iraq (15%) and this was BEFORE Covid. Also the fact that we allow 5,000+ Spanish workers to commute into Gibraltar to work everyday since wages are higher here, giving them medical treatment and insurance is something were to happen and all, and even covid vaccines. British have built up our city beautifully, never treated us wrongly. We like the Spanish people and culture but never would we vote for a Spanish corrupt government or give up our British roots that we're so proud of.
@@FriedrichBarb That is not completely true is it.... You voted with us to leave the EU, your votes went towards the outcome. Without our British pound and backing from our UK Government you would most likely have been taken over by Spain. Its also a tax haven for betting companies in the UK. It is over populated, covered in high rise flats and can't even house their workers who are paying tax in to the gib system. It's ok but you either love it or hate it and the Gibraltarians aren't to keen on the Brits lol
@@herecomesthemoney1220 Gibraltar can never become Spanish unless the people vote for it in a referendum, only way Spain could take over is by force On Brexit, 95% voted for remain Gibraltar also isnt that over populated, considering we need 5k+ workers from Spain in order to function, and vast majority of people here have housing, but yes you’re right if it’s not government housing usually it’s very over priced sadly And Gibraltarians are keen on Brits because well, we are British… again no idea where you get this idea from
@@FriedrichBarb True but Spain probably would have taken it by force by now, that border is hell getting in and out. Exactly so imagine if the UK had remained in the EU due to Gibraltar's votes, i bet not many Brits knew that another Country was voting on our future. There is no room whatsoever in Gibraltar, you build high rise apartments, in some places the sun can no longer reach the ground. Gibraltar also does employ its workers from Spain, along with the British who work in Gib and live in spain, they tax them and then send them back to live in Spain because there is no room. I lived there for 6/7 years, it is a great place to see and live especially if you are from there.... Government housing, free university (in UK), great sports facilities
@@herecomesthemoney1220 They will never try take it by force unless they want to end up like their Argentinian cousins, but yes the border can be Hell to pass through 30k votes in a country of 65+ million is completely irrelevant, and again Gib is not “another country” we are a British territory and have the right to have a say also, just like Northern Ireland The Brits that come from Spain could always apply for the housing list, eventually they will be offered a flat, it just takes long, but yes you make valid point about Gib not having enough room for housing, but I believe sea reclamation in future will solve this, just as it has for the past few decades. Thank you for the kind words also and I’m sorry that the housing situation didn’t work out for you, hope found satisfying retirement elsewhere
Bangladesh
He basically gave a full free tour of Gibraltar, and now I'm less likely to pay and spend on traveling to Gibraltar.. lol
what a wally
Changed a bit from my Military training there! See my short clip 'Defence of the Realm' on TH-cam!.
