John Deere X390 Snow Plow
มุมมอง 16K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick video of my John Deere X390 plowing snow. I haven't seen many videos of the newer X300 series lawn tractors so will try to post a few. I will try to get some better videos in the future.
I just bought this plane but waiting on backordered retracts . Not sure anyone else but Eflite make them, planing on a DA60
Any problems with wing fit ? I hope you can answer my question
Just brought home a new x-390, May 2024, and looking forward to more videos. Thanks. What width blade did you use?
You should do an installation video on how to put the blade on.
What kind of material is it made of?
I have experience in handling smaller planes but I would like to purchase this type of plane, could you help me by telling me how much it costs? is it electric or gasoline?
Nice flying and great landing.
I have seen electric Conversions with 4 blades and then these with 2, is it possible to fly 4 blades with a gas/glo engine, how come nobody does that? I like the scale look of the 4 blade but the sound of the gas/glo engine.
Flight weight?
Great flight! You really have that mustang figured out! How do you like the hangar 9?
This is a really great video. With the hydraulic deck lift on the x390, is there any trick to removing the mower deck? All deck removal videos I have found show x300 series with manual lift decks. Thanks
I was wondering the same thing. I haven't looked up videos. Might have to hit up the John deer dealership where I got mine to see if they can help
It turns out most X300 series deck removal videos were all I needed to remove deck from my X390. Just ignore the part about pushing the deck lift pedal forward
I wish we had snow here in Tennessee because we used to live where we would get tons of snow back in Wisconsin
Do the lights come on automatically or do you have to put in a switch to turn them on?
The lights turn on when you turn the ignition key to the lights position
Oddly satisfying
Thanks for the video just picked up a x380 and found a used plow set for it. Was worried the tractor would have trouble in deep snow. See your push them big mounds changed my minds.
wow, that's pretty impressive for a lawn tractor that doesn't have a differential lock or HDAP tires. good video too, nicely done
Should I get the x390 with PLOW or BLOWER? I have an electric walk behind snowblower now.
I would always go with a plow unless there's a specific need for a blower. Plowing is much faster and you don't need a cab.
lovely p51 did you need to put any weight to balance her with the eme 60?. Cheers.
Thanks! and I did have to add weight to the front.
Been thinking about looking into a plow for my X390 and this video really helps!! Thanks for getting some footage!
Wheel weights or chains?
3-42lb suitcase weights on the back and chains.
Great footage! Did you install an electric lift on it or did it come with one? I have an x330 and i'm thinking about an an electric lift option or a winch which would help me gain several more inches of lift on the plow.
Hello, the 390 has hydraulic lift and power steering. I adjusted the lift link so the blade is about 8 inches off the ground when raised. What are you using for your rear strobe?
@@ADKer21 I just took delivery of my X390 two days ago. Love how easy it is to drive and the power.
Any cooling issues? Working on one at the moment ........
Any cooling issues or issue what the retracts? Starting build #2 .....
I have not had cooling issues. Also, three years on the Eflite retracts and no issues knock on wood.
ADKer21 good to know thank you for the reply....

Very nice. I have a plow on my 4 wheeler (kodiak) but will be getting the 44" snowblower for my x390.
I would have went with a snowblower if I didn't already have a walk behind. I wanted the plow to clean up smaller stuff faster, which it does. Not as fast as a wheeler but does the trick.
@@ADKer21 Do you have any issues pushing snow without a differential lock? Thinking about a 390 but may get a 5-series, just a huge price jump.
For flat areas of my driveway I have no problems. I cannot plow moderate snow going up the driveway only down. Also backing up when on a slope I spin a lot. I have 3 40lb suitcase weights. My plan was to use for light clean up and it works great for that. I would say if you have a hill or moderate slop to your driveway and are using as primary snow removal get the diff lock. For a flat driveway it will plow light to moderate snow really well.
which engine do you have installed and prop make/size pls? great flight!
EME 60cc with a falcon 23x10. www.milehighrc.com/EME60CC.html
Its almost hypnotizing seen it fly... nice!
How is your ground clearance with a 24 inch prop. Am going the same route for power.
Ground clearance was fine no problems.
What power plant is installed?
It's an EME 60cc (JTEC exhaust)with a 23x10 Falcon prop.
Awesome airplane. Engine sounds great. What muffler are you using in the video. I have a TF giant scale Corsair that I'm thinking about using a EME 60 cc in.Hangar 9 P-51 might have to be next plane to consider although I'm a huge fan of the razorback Jug.
Thanks! I have had good luck with the EME so far especially for the price. Only change is I went to a 23x10 prop and its much better. I am using a Jtec pitts style specifically for this airplane and engine. They have them for just about everything including the TF Corsair, and the P-47 is on my list too lol. www.jtecrc.com/topflitep51wraparound.htm.
