Active Sound on a Skoda vRS
มุมมอง 2.6K6 ปีที่แล้ว
My Installation of the Eberspacher Active Unit on an Octavia vRS. please excuse the crappy camera i had to garb an old phone and the quality is poor in strong wind. The first minute or so is outside using the tester on the app, The acceleration is not smooth. The second half is inside the cabin with the accelerator pedal. The adjustments are infinite and you get six sound profiles to experiment...

This is a sealed fibreglass sub box i made for my Volkswagen Beetle 61 Convertible. Retrosounds Model One head unit with lots of little tricks like remote iPod dock hidden in the ash tray and USB under the dash. The subs need broke in so this is about 1/4 volume. I'm going for SQ not SPL so these were never meant to be really loud and i just didn't have enough space anyway for a large enough bo...

Superb all great musicians .
4mins Clear the Way
Heading to the big smoke Marvellous
God bless the people of Kilkeel No Surrender
Do you still have the design for this as I would love to do the same to my bug
what player is it ? i want one , from whr did u get it from ?
Can i ask a question regarding the alpi e amplifier sir?
How many amp alternator is the bug running im planning on doing a build but dont know about the power
Hi I’m doing the same thing basically you need an extra battery
Whats the device in the middle of your dash ?
like that system. you post that you have a 4" narrowed beam how did you install air shocks with a narrower beam, did you cut the body to allow the shock towers to fit
Whats size alternator do you have
90 amp
do you have any still pictures of your setup. I just got a vert and I wanna have a good sound system.
what kind of pics did you need? i have build pics. i can send you the photobucket link
JohnnyType2 that will work. I'm planning on building up a sound system for my vert as well.
Can you provide a link
photobucket started charging so i cant provide and link at the moment sorry
who makes the old school deck. i need one for my 67 bug
what kind of headunit is this? Love the look. Is it single din, or fit the stock opening? Great install!
its a retrosound sound model one unit. It fits the stock beetle opening and even comes with the correct back plate to match any VW vehicle. comes with outputs for your amp, aux, usb stick and ipod all built in. Plays MP3s natively.
It would be great if you could show the total process of installation of this system.
i have all the build and installation photos, ill try to make a montage video if that helps
Hi! Really nice bug!! What kind of shocks you're using in rear end??
firestone air bags, i think they are rated 2500lbs each
Are absorbers replaced by those or how you did the support arms etc?
no just the front shocks replaced with air shocks, the rear has a cradle to hold the bags attached by the swing arms and under the chassis.
One more thing. Which viair system did you use...medium or heavy. and did it come with everything needed for your shocks
i used medium, in hindsight i wouldnt fit anything less than 200psi to be honest. and at least a four way system as the ride does feel soft with just front and back
What shocks are you running on the front?
ma768s
would lov to hear the bridge over the river kwaii
DELUXE
What size air lines and valves are you using? 1/4 or 3/8?
1/4 but i wouldn't do 1/4 again, too slow up and down, i have a replacement system and I'm going 3/8 or 1/2 pipe.
I bought an car with an air ride installed in it and the electric wire that goes to it is disconnected. Do you know where that wire goes? The compressor has no electricity to pump the tank where do I connect the wire to? Thank you
can you take a picture and send it to johnny @ earlybay . com, its hard to tell without seeing it. There should be a pressure switch that controls the pump.
I sent you the pics. Thank you
tommy hawk replied with a simple diagram which should help
How many valves are in there at the moment? Do you have and independent system or both side (left and right) at the same time?
Just front and back at the moment but i am changing to a 3/8 system with two 480C viair compressors 200 psi, Airlift V2 auto leveller with FBSS (independent front back side to side, soon stay tuned.
Thanks for your prompt answer. But you have 2 valves for front and 2 for rear, right? 4 air valves just to do the up and down together in each case. Am I right?
Jorge Torres yes two fill valves and two exhaust. This whole system is forsale if anyone wants it.
i wana get this on my bug when i get it, sooo cooollll!!!!
thanks for the comment, I've made a few changes since this video. 4 inch narrowed limebug beam, rear bags added, new leather interior.
That car is a thing of beauty...
This video makes me angry and sad in equal measure at the slovenly, disinterested and unkempt police officer leading the parade. In my day, my station sergeant would have stuck his boot in my balls for presenting myself in this manner. Stand up straight, chest out, shoulders back and head up - at the very least. This is indicative of the lack of ethos and pride the PSNI has in itself and worse still, he's walking past the church from which our brother Constable Alec beck was buried.
they're a really good band because they aint blood and thunder.
they already are, they started as a B&T band and some of the founding memebrs are still in the band nearly 3 decades later and enjoy the the B&T
Thanks for the comment, and im glad you think its being done justice. hey play it pretty well.
unbelaviable band best to walk the streets of ulster (NO SURRENDER) up the (MYD)
no i have a dedicated high amp audio battery with a leisure charge setup. I changed the alternator to a 95 amp one for the extra kick. All the wire was upgraded to 0 gauge to cope with the extra power
Do you have a stock alternator/generator/battery or did you go with a higher amp alternator? I like the look of your box.
Re the name of the tune. It has two melodies, Stand up for Jesus and Duke Street. When I wrote the arrangement I put it under the collective title of Royal Banners as that is mentioned in Stand up for Jesus. Really well played there as is all the other music.
Yeah, what that guy said...but at the same time, this is so sick...
luv the vid i sub u can u sub me back ;)
Its not a stock face plate, retrosoundsusa . com, check them out they make a single unit that fits any car they manufacture the face plates separately. VWs are one of their big sellers. the unit can be fitted to any application and you can choose your faceplate when you buy the unit.
that music is almost a sin for that car......
Yep you can hear the bass clear with the hood down. The good thing is the Stereo has a radio control and you can stand back and crank it up. I had a problem with not making the earths big enough so ive changed them all to zero gauge. Im installing air ride for the extra weight so when im finished ill make some more videos.
looks killer man!!! do you here the bass when the top is down?
Thanks, I need to upgrade to 0 gauge wire as the amp is tripping out.
thats real cool nice work sounds and looks amazing
I take it that that's a joke.
Depends on the country your in to which flag is dipped passing the Cenotaph. If this was the in USA then the SandS wouldn't be dipped, correct. But as its the UK the only flag not dipped is The Jack.
Excellent display. Just one word of advice though in reference to (at 1:38) The American flag is never, EVER supposed to be dipped; according to proper flag etiquette. It is always held vertically. The Marine Corp. flag, on the other hand, is allowed to be dipped, but only at the 45 degree angle. Other than that little part, I enjoyed the video very much. I even linked it to my video, "USMC March in the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade." (I also mentioned the MYD as well)
And why model your uniforms on the USMC?
Why the American Flag?
Moune Young Defenders would be an awesome Blood & Thunder band!
