Bless you all, should have way more likes, views and comments. The world's in disarray but the words are still like honey to my ears. All glory to the most high God 🙏✝️
The problem with Presbyterianism isn't the church structure, it's the fact it follows Calvanism. The doctrine of predestination in Calvanism is not only wrong, it borders on evil.
Thank you!!!!
Why would anyone want to calvinist presbyterian and end up in hell?
❤ Amen
grace abound through christ our lord and savior
Amen love that hymn and god word
The bread and wine are not merely memorials of Christ’s crucified body and shed blood, contra many Baptist understandings of the Lord’s Supper. Rather, in keeping with the OPC’s secondary standards, we confess that the bread and wine are sensible signs and seals of the benefits of the covenant of grace to believers and “have such relation to Him crucified, as that, truly, yet sacramentally only, they are sometimes called by the name of the things they represent, to wit, the body and blood of Christ” (WCF 29.5). The parts of the Lord’s Supper are also twofold: 1) an outward and sensible sign; and 2) an inward and spiritual grace signified therein as believers feed upon Christ by faith.
Agreed, I think any traditional Christian, whether Protestant or Catholic, we have all believed in real presence of Christ in the bread and wine, just different modes as different theologies may argue, but one thing reformed evangelicals get wrong is they forget how important the real presence is and how high the original reformers viewed it, therefore I do believe as a conservative member of the PCUSA, if the pastor disregards the real presence during the consecration, the communion is invalid (why I don’t commune with baptists😂)
This is wonderfull hymn.
Haven't been here in awhile, but I was very impressed by Brandon's sermon message. Pastor Canales should be proud of you! Very nice.
Great job, Brandon! CPC was well-fed today. 👍 I wish I could've been there to see it live. 🙁🤗
I left the OPC precisely because I could not find support for its church governance model in the Bible. The OPC membership vows require complete obedience to the Elders, even when they make decisions contrary to God’s Word. Now that I have officially left the church, they refuse me welcome to Communion because I am not a member. This action clearly denies a belief in the finished work of Christ on the cross. I am Reformed to the core but cannot endorse Presbyterianism for these and other reasons.
Peter was given the keys to the kingdom directly by Jesus Christ in Matthew 16:13-20. This leadership role was passed down to others through apostolic succession. Acts 1:20-26 shows apostolic succession, the Episcopal form of structure where leaders of the church appoint successors for leadership. Bishops, Priests, and Deacons are mentioned throughout the New Testament. The Catholic structure is extremely biblical. It is the only structure that does not produce massive disunity. Just look at how many thousands of Protestant denominations there are, and dozens of Presbyterian denominations. Christ wanted us to be united, the only way that is possible is under the Catholic Church.
Last year with no place left to turn I prayed to God in repentance then begged for help with all my heart, "I was until then a lifelong Atheist." I then had a dream of Jesus coming before God and he spoke of the Tabernacle in perfect context, "A word I didn't know existed because I've never read the bible", and the love I felt from Jesus was unlike anything I've ever felt before - A lifetime of joy every second - It brought me to sobbing and it changed my life forever. I've had other miracles since, a few being a light turning on in answer to deeply needful prayer 6 times, seeing a orb of light hours before a major surgery, seeing an Angel in a dream the night my mother prayed for me to see one, "Without telling me", and so much more. Know that God and Jesus ARE real and that they love us deeply. Let go of your hatred and Imagine yourself holding the people who've hurt you. Tell them you love and forgive them and I believe we should do our best to follow, "I've failed many times", the 10 commandments. Always have hope. Love is the answer, not hatred.
Thank you
And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. -Jeremiah 29:13 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. - John 3:16 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out. - Acts 3:19 If are in North America, please go check out any of the churches available to you: PCA, OPC, Rpcna/Rpc, Urcna, or a canrc church (These are conservative and actual Presbyterian churches) If you can’t find one of the conservative presby churches then, maybe a Lcms Lutheran church. If you are Scottish, I recommend the Free Church of Scotland and the APC. (Different from the Church of Scotland) If you are English I recommend the Free Church of England (Different from the Church of England) Also online you can look up church finders for each of the groups and it will show you locations
Sprinkling of Babies & Adults as baptism is NOT Scriptural. The 1,000 Year Millenium is a literal 1,000 years. Satan bound and chained for 1,000 years is a literal binding of Satan ... John's direction by God on the Island of Patmos was Literal not allegory. The Gifts of Healing, Prophesy, driving out devils is both given by God and needed today... Prespetyerians preach mostly Cessation of Gifts (Bad Doctrine) The only place the Bible describes Sprinkling is by The High Priest at animal sacrafice where the blood of an animal is sprinkled on the Mercy Seat.... Child sprinkling is traditional only. bad doctrine.
He pastors my church currently!!
A wonderful message Pastor Canales! From your biggest fan in Idaho. :)
Happy Resurrection Sunday to my favorite congregation in Tx. Boise sends you blessings!
What a wonderful message to begin the new year. We can learn so much from this inspiring psalm written from the hand of Moses. God’s friend.
Yeah, I like what you say, but your tatoos kind of bother me. Can you wear long sleeves next time? I don't think it is a good example for the youth in the church to see their leaders showing their skin 'art'.
Why do they bother you?
@Benedict Rex I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Wonderful teaching
Another great video to stretch my mind. I would love for you to make one on the definition of “Zen Calvinism “.
Check out this article on Zen-Calvinism www.patheos.com/blogs/geneveith/2008/04/zen-calvinism/
I absolutely loved us! Please make more of these video's! Thank you.
Good afternoon, Christ Church OPC - Flower Mound, Texas. it's a extremely intriguing video. thanks. :)
Technical issues prevented livestream today. Our apologies. We hope to have this corrected and be back to livestreaming next week.
Thanks again for your online videos here. I've been going through this series on Acts since I found you online. I appreciate Pastor Canales and his careful study of this wonderful book. I'm almost half way done with your series. I'm really enjoying it too. God bless you and your congregation there in TX. Vincent.
I love where you said, "You can't bargain with the King, he's either your King or he's not". Love it!!
It *is* a great line. However, in all fairness, I heard Tim Keller say it some twenty years ago and it stuck with me.
Our sincerest apologies. This is our second week of livestreaming and we're still learning some things. We'll have this fixed for next week.
Our apologies. The feed has been interrupted. The audio will be available on the website tomorrow... christpresbyterian.org.
